I’ve loved the view and wine from this winery for years. Our last trip here only made me love it more because of the service. Kareem went over every wine in depth(which is not extraordinary at a winery I admit), it was his stories and singing that makes me want to go back as soon as possible. Go for the wine and fingers crossed Kareem will be on site to make you laugh!

Scammers will steal your money if you join their wine club. I will never give them another cent. Zero customer service. Steer clear.

I rarely am moved enough to review but this experience has stayed on my mind since our tasting this weekend. Tasting can be widely subjective but the best balance of ambiance, wines, knowledge and service made for an awesome experience. They have three areas to taste on this large property each featuring a different set of varietals. The Chardonnay was a stand out in an area dominated by cabinet. The staff were courteous and knowledgeable of the wines and winery. A stand out on our tour of the best the valley has to offer.

An incredibly beautiful and serene way to spend an afternoon. With the wine free flowing and and the encompassing atmosphere, you cannot help but have a wonderful time at St. Clements vineyards.

This is one of our favorite(new to us) spots in Napa! My boyfriend and I have slightly different taste in wines, but we both agreed this was some of our favorite reds,(my opinion– hands down my favorite red). We did the tasting with Kareem who was very knowledgeable and friendly. He encouraged us to take our time, was never pushy and gave us the freedom to enjoy our tasting and walk around. The views were just breathtaking and unbeatable. HIGHLY recommended!

This was an all star cast across the board. We especially enjoyed the juicy Star Vineyard cab sauv, and the Oroppas cab sauv. Karim gave a great explanation of the winerys history and the many unique grapes in Napa from where they source grapes

We were in Napa for 5 days a few weeks ago and went to St. Clement for the first and LAST time. Other than the nice setting, our experience was not very good. The female waiting on spoke so softly that we could not hear nor understand her. The wines were ok and we decided to buy three(3) bottles. We were SHOCKED when we stood at the cashier and our server rang in the wine as well as 4 tasting fees at $ 40/each! WHAT??? We’ve been to a hundred plus wineries over the years and we’ve never heard of them not waiving the tasting fee if you purchase wine! We were told abruptly by her that: «You have to join our wine club to get the tastings waived!» We will never go back! Their wines are not as nice as the high prices want you to believe.

Beautiful grounds. I wish we had a different server. Marvin told us that we could only do tasting for three, when we were 7 people. His excuse was that they were closing soon and couldn’t do 7 tastings(it was 4:30pm and they close at 5pm). Instead, we had to do three and share glasses because he was too lazy to do 7. The wine is good and the views are great. Hoping to come back soon and have a better service.

Worst experience I’ve ever had in Napa. We’ve been to St Clement a few times, but this is going to be our last. My brother loves the wine here, so we usually stop by to pick up a few bottles and drink a few glasses before heading out. This time we were greeted by the rudest host ever. She basically threatened us by telling us that we weren’t welcome if we didn’t buy anything. Also, once we actually did buy something, another host came to our table with a stern face and asked us what we’re doing here and that we couldn’t have a few glasses to enjoy our wine. Instead of buying our usual 6 – 8 bottles, we bought one bottle for my brother and went to directly Caymus instead. We enjoyed ourselves at Caymus and other wineries in the area. This place was an embarrassment and made us feel extremely unwelcome.

First of all the tasting fee is too much for the wines. The wine was definitely not worth the price & they just poured the wine & gave no description. I don’t reccomend this winery unless you want a bad experience

On a recent visit to the Napa area we stopped in at what use to be one of my favorite wineries along Hwy 29. When we walked into the tasting room we were greeted by a person who looked and sounded as though they would rather be on the moon or elsewhere. Tastings have skyrocketed to $ 40 per tasting. Whuuuaat? Really? I love their reds so we went ahead and paid the ransom. We were going to purchase some of the wine and asked if they waive the tasting fee. She looked at me and said«No». We will not be going back.

St. Clement — where do I begin? I fell in love with the wines before I ever set foot on the winery, so they certainly had a captive audience when I arrived. I’ve been to this winery several times, and each time I’ve been served by very nice, knowledgeable, and warm individuals. St. Clement is for people that enjoy high quality Napa wines without a snobby atmosphere. I appreciate that the winery is a classic older house, and not a gawdy modern winery that feels like a corporate headquarters. You have the choice of 3 wine tasting areas: the hilltop picnic area, winemaker’s vault & surrounding area, and inside the victorian house. I personally like the winemaker’s vault & surrounding area most, followed by the victorian house, and lastly the hilltop picnic area. My only knock against the hilltop area is that you can see busy Hwy 29 below. All in all, the wines are great(and won’t break the bank), the people are nice, and the winery is more warm and inviting than most in the Napa Valley.

Almost a 5, its a 4.5 for me, we were helped by Ashleen and Grant and they were both very helpful and very knowledgeable. We loved the 2011 Oroppas and the 2010 Armstrong Ranch. The pourings are $ 20⁄30 a bit steep for small pours, but very rich in flavor. Its a beautiful compound, and staff walk you to the distillery/prep rooms and they are very helpful. Beautiful views of the valley, great for pics. Great place to also do a picnic(bring ur food buy their wine) or have a few bottles there.

I’ll give it a 4 simply because of the discount on Oroppas. The tasting room sits atop a hill in a Victorian style home. There are outside tables to sit and sip and enjoy the view. St Clement has consistently strong reds with 90+ ratings. The Oroppas is a solid bottle that has never disappointed me. Goes for about $ 60 a bottle at the tasting room but join any level of the club and the Oroppas is shipped with every level each January and you get a tasting room price of $ 45 for the bottle. A very good deal!!!

This was our final winery stop on our Saturday in the wine country. Located just north of downtown St. Helena is St. Clement. From his parking lot next to Highway 29, you walked up the hill to the beautiful St. Clement house with a beautiful view of the vineyards. ( ) ( ) Two workers greeted us and offered us lemon/lime infused water and informed us about their wine tasting offerings and invited us into tasting rooms in the house. Four wines, two reds and two whites, were included with the $ 20 Classic tasting. Our tasting started by a lady. We brought our wines out to the front room to enjoy while sitting on the window benches. After our third pour, Grant became our server. He was more personable and allowed us to sample their olive oil and the wine infused chocolate syrup, which one of us in our party ended up buying. The Sauvignon Blanc was dry and crisp, which we decided to buy for our dinner that night. The Orropas red, which was a 75% Cabernet Sauvignon blend, was the best wine of the four. It was very tasty. ( ) ( ) In the hallway, there are interesting boards that explains the history of the property. St. Clement is currently owned by the Sapporo Brewery Co of Japan. Are you curious why they named the red wine Orropas? It’s Sapporo spelled backwards. In front of the house, there is a beautiful two level patio area with tables, including picnic sized tables, which overlooks the vineyards and you are welcomed to bring a lunch there. ( ) ( ) Overall, a nice winery set on a hill with beautiful views of vineyards.

First class, friendly treatment all the way. We parked, we trekked uphill and — slightly out of breath — were greeted by a host. On such a gorgeous day, we opted to do our tasting outside … on the patio overlooking the Valley with *stunning* views — as far as this area along Hwy 29 goes. My beau did the wine tasting($ 20 standard; $ 25 reserve), but I chose to sip on a full glass of their Oroppas. YES. Do get this but let it breath for at least 20 minutes. Oh my. The wine combined with the view combined with my awesome crew = prob the day’s highlight. Jorge was our server and a delight. And the patrons were great too. I struck up a convo with two separate groups visiting from Texas, and one from my exact neighborhood in Houston. Good vibe, good peeps *Walk-ins welcome. Reservations required for the private tasting.
