Super Taco Mexican Restaurants

So me and my cousin decided to have lunch there and we order 2 aguas of tamarindo and they both had dead bugs inside it was so gross we told the owner and he didn’t even throw out the jug of tamarindo they had in the front. So disgusting won’t be going back!

We ordered the super veggie burrito, super nachos with steak, and the super taco salad with shrimp. It was about $ 30 all together and they offer the chips and salsa bar but definitely not on the budget friendly side. The staff are friendly. The portions were super I have to say. The only reason I didn’t offer a 5 star was because it was bland in the flavor department. Something felt missing in each dish I tasted. I’m sure it didn’t lack in sodium and fat, but I found you couldn’t taste much of a difference between the essence of the beans and the rice. Once you add the salsa it should either enhance it or balance the dish, but no it didn’t do it for me. Maybe herbs, citrus, spice, or stock was missing from each flavor profile. You could tell something wasn’t too fresh. The taco salad bowl was also a bit stale. So, overall good service and portions that’ll make you full. Not too bad for a late night snack attack!

Called in an order today for two chicken tacos was told that it would only take 10 minutes the call began at 11:37 by 11:54 I was in the building my taco still were not made. Other than that and the tortilla soup not tasting very well I have no complaints I enjoy my chicken tacos that I get there every week

the food is just as good as any other Super Taco location, but it is absolutely disgusting. during my dine in visit, half the tables were dirty and there was one in the corner that had food spilled all over it. there was soup spilled on the floor and dishes every where. I understand that they cannot clean it right away, but the mess was sitting for 20 minutes before anyone even attended to it. MAJOR HEALTH CODE VIOLATION.

I love this place !!!
We eat here a couple times a week and the food is always good .I order the steak burrito and it’s just enough, but if you really hungry get the super burrito.
It is as big as your head and may put you in a food comma .
Good price good ingredients and always a smile on their faces.

Really disappointed with this location smh. Came here as a spontaneous decision cuz i was in need of some Spanish rice to add as a side dish to my home made molé, yea i took the lazy route so what?!!
Ok so on my experience here it was sad the thing that was ridiculous was that we paid 8 dollars for some rice that wasn’t even cooked all the way. Spanish rice is not supposed to be crunchy! The flavor was not there it was really bland and just flavorless. Ive been to the super taco on franklin and the menudo there is good the little over priced rice that i had here was a no no. I wont be back i think im just sticking to the one on franklin blvd. big let down but if u add a lot of lime to it, it kinda works. Another thing i didnt like was that the pint container that they gave us was not even filled to the top and some parts of the rice looked like mush.

Great food and great customer service. I love the chips and salsa while waiting for the food.

Great place for Mexican! Their super tacos are actually big. The fish and the steak are options. They have a salsa bar with fresh pico and jalapeños that are actually spicy. Friendly and quick staff. Will definitely come back if I’m in the area.

I’ve been to this place a few times before and ordered different menu items. What I noticed is there is a big difference between ordering the regular or SUPER. If you don’t go SUPER, don’t even bother ordering because it won’t be taste as good.
I usually find myself coming back to order a huge platter of super nachos/​fries when I find someone to share it with. I go with the adobada (marinated pork) and tell them to throw both cheeses (nacho and shredded) — $ 10.
They also have a nice little bar if you decide to dine in. And when you leave, you might find someone selling drugs outside, which is also nice.

i wasn’t impressed with the burrito… they filled it with salad and prices don’t reflect quality of portions! took forever and lengua had no flavor!

Julian is very friendly and a great host. Food is awesome been going here for 15 years. Shrimp burrito is amazing

I really love this place. Finally found my go to spot! I dined in my first time but I think it’s great how they also have a drive through available. The service is wonderful here. My boyfriend and I ordered enchiladas and the super burrito that came with fried beans and rice on the side. Everything is so full of flavor here. Their fried beans are very moist and the cheese they add on top makes it that much better. The super burrito is huge, cheap, and is so delicious! Their flour tortillas taste fresh and home made. The salsa for the chips was amazing, authentic and spicy how I like it. We also ordered 3 modelos and our bill only came out to be $ 26 for all that food. I will definitely be coming here often.

How are you going to sell vegetarian nachos with meat on them? Seriously… I’ve never heard of nachos without beans. That’s like pancakes without syrup. This location is horrible.

I keep coming back! I’ve enjoyed the chilaquiles and recently had the carnitas nachos. The taste is authentic and the food is always fresh. Although the location is not in my favorite part of town, the inside is always clean especially the salsa bar! The employees are always friendly and helpful. This is my Mexican food TO-​GO-​TO place now.

We went here on a whim to give it a try. We’re a family that loves good food for an affordable price and this place is EXACTLY that. Everyone was helpful, food is portioned HUGED and will keep you stuffed as well as it being delicious. And seriously, who can resist a $ 3.99 margarita special? We’ll be coming back here whenever we get the chance to stop in Sacramento again.

I’ve popped into Super Taco many times. I’m not really a huge fan of any kind of chips, including nacho, but I always get the Super nachos with shredded chicken and I’ve never been disappointed. The serving is big enough for two people, the chicken is flavorful, and the toppings are always fresh. It’s well worth the just short of ten bucks I pay for it. Unfortunately, on my last trip, I took the advice of the server and tried the grilled chicken. It was a sad culinary day for me. :-(Moving forward, I will be sticking to what has always thrilled my taste buds — shredded chicken super tacos.
The service is great as well. The servers are friendly and accommodating and I’ve never had a bad experience — aside from that sad grilled chicken (don’t even do it to yourself). Super Taco is a good place to get your fill for a reasonable price and the menu is expansive, though I highly recommend those nachos (shredded chicken, of course).

To my knowledge this is the original super taco and definitely the first one I visited. Now that I’ve had an opportunity to try all three (that I know of) this is my least favorite. Portion sizes are much smaller that the two Elk Grove locations. Pozole was really bland. Asada was so-​so. Beans were bomb. Chips and salsa are consistently good. I’ll continue to frequent the other, better, locations.

Just stopped by with the wife and daughter. Food is delicious. The portions are big and service is great. 100% Authentic Mexican food.

We used to love this place! Ate dinner there tonight and the meat was dry, the portions were so much smaller and the prices went up! Not to mention the lady who delivered our food had a terrible attitude. It makes me sad to say this, but we will have to find a new taco spot! Get it together, Super Taco. Not sure if they are under new ownership or what but they shouldn’t have changed a thing.

Ayer sabado fuimos a comer como a las 6:30 pm y tubimos un mal servicio, yo pedi una orden de enchiladas casera y me las dieron todas frias le tube que decir a la señorita que si me las podian volver a calentar en el microwave, tambien pedimos una Cheese Burger con papas y nos las dieron sin papas y el pan de la hamburgesa estaba duro, y pedimos tacos, primero mis trajeron las enchiladas y los tacos y al ultimo la hamburgesa y para varias cuando estubieron las papas ya se habia comido parte de la hamburgesa porque estaba duro el pan. My daughter called to order a super burrito «carne asada» with no beans extra meat extra sour cream, and a super taco. What I got was a super lettuce burrito with extra rice no cheese and no sour cream. The taco was’nt any better also full of lettuce hardly any meat. I had to put sour cream on the burrito myself, in the middle was a chunk of lettuce surrounded by overkill of rice and they put the extra meat in a cup on the side.
When i open the container i thought wow this is huge not thinking when i cut it open i would find the reason why it was so huge. Come on people get it together.
The sauce that was on top had no flavor. And who does’nt put cheese on a burrito. I feel jipped spent $ 10 + on a lettuce and rice burrito. I will never order from this place again. And i should have read the reviews first that the customer service is lacking here. But my daughter referred me. I called to complain by phone but there was no answer you are a business pick up the phone. So this is where i end up to make my complaint.

A lot of people told me great things about this place, I was across the street and wanted lunch, so I thought why not. It was my first time here, the cashier gave me a friendly welcome and helped me with my order since I was unsure of what I wanted. I ordered a grilled chicken burrito and added guacamole, the wait wasn’t that long.
As I was about halfway into eating my burrito, the whole bottom just fell apart, I was pretty upset because it got messy. They should wrap it so it’s more secure or use different tortilla. But overall it was pretty good. If you love Mexican food, you should try it.

If you like Mexican food, it’s pretty good.
I’ve had several of their burritos and their tortas, and I’ve always enjoyed my food. It’s not as heavy and greasy as other Mexican restaurants, which I like. I really like their salsa. Their portions are pretty generous.
It’s a clean and friendly environment and I’ve always gotten my food in a timely manner.

Came here on a Friday night. Took the cashier lady a while to greet and take my order. I ordered a chile verde. I’ve never been here before and never tried chile verde before. The dish was okay. If you don’t like spicy you might not want to get it. It had a mild spicy taste, which was tolerable not omg I need water.
The downside to the dish is that the rice lacked flavor. They didn’t give me chips either they forgot or they just don’t give to people who order out. I wish it came with chips, but hey it’s less calories for me!
The restaurant is small. They have a tv, which is nice if you’re dining in. I saw the cashier give the customer extra chips, so if you eat there maybe you can get extra chips.
Not too big of a fan of this Mexican restaurant. If I do come back, I’ll probably order something else.
