Milano Pizza

I have eaten here 5 or 6 times over the last two years. The pizza was just OK but it’s close so I kept going back like a bad TV show that you haven’t seen in a while and then you start watching to remember this is kind of bad. What has really done it for me is the service. They are slow and kind of rude. I just order from Luigi’s now.

Milano Pizza is a great spot to go after work or to watch the game on a weekend. Very family friendly atmosphere with fantastic pizza. If you’re looking for a family-​owned neighborhood spot, Milano is your place.

I love there pizza but unfortunately they provide terrible customer service with zero hospitality and that’s from Angela supposably the night supervisor. Angela is incompetent and doesn’t have a clue of what customer service is. The owner needs to take a second look at who he has running his store starting with Angela & then his day shift supervisor. I think I’ll be sticking with Pizza House on Stockton & Fruitridge. And this is from a customer that has had numerous pizza parties at their store! :(

This place has the absolute worst service.
First of all, they don’t even honor the Unilocal deal so don’t bother buying it!
The arcade ate two of my son’s quarters and they refused to refund us saying, «well they aren’t technically our machines so there’s nothing we can do.»
Needless to say they ruined our time. Both kids and adults alike, this place will be incredibly unfriendly to you.
Don’t bother giving this place any of your money. I know we have no plans on coming back if only to dissuade any would-​be victims of this terrible establishment.

I knew I should have waited until we got our pizza to finish the review.
We requested ranch because we had purchased wings and poppers (doesn’t ranch come with wings at EVERY restaurant you’ve ever heard of?) No. That’ll be an extra $ 0.25 per. Plus tax. I love how she added that part. I should have said ok you give me the ranch and we’ll forget the quarters your machine stole from us.
Or was this NOT typical? Reading the other reviews, it’s hard to believe management cares at all how their clientele are treated.

The workers where very nice but food was not very tasty. you can make better food than eating at milano. It’s only good for being a pub.

Yummy pizza that is fresh and hot with lots of toppings. Friendly staff.

I have never written a food review before but I am floored by how mistreated I was tonight at this establishment. I ordered by phone for pick up. I arrived a the allotted time and the food was not ready yet– that was fine. I was more than happy to wait. I am in the middle of a kitchen remodel at my home and wanted some lasagna and salad, and ordered some desert and garlic bread to go and I was really looking forward to kicking back when I got home and eating a nice hot meal…
So I discreetly put a dollar in the glass fish bowl and waited a bit. The gal behind the counter offered to take my money — so I got my wallet ready, it came to 24.01
I said — «oh let me go back to my car and get a penny.»
The owner or manager gave her a wink — like just give her a dollar back — but after he walked away, the girl started counting out the 99 cents change. I don’t like to carry change in my wallet — so I said — again — «oh let me go back to my car and get a penny.» She said –ok.
So I go out to my car and get a penny so I can get a dollar bill back. I am already thinking I wish I had not put the dollar bill in the fish bowl for a tip. But I was still ok —
Then I waited in my car for a bit and saw the gal bringing my food from behind the counter and she appeared to be looking for me — so I went back in and picked up my food at the counter (she had returned to the counter) — she said have a good night or some such and I left.
It was difficult to get out of the parking lot — there was lots of traffic in both directions.
Just as I was turning the corner to my home — looking forward to a nice hot meal — since my kitchen is not operable … I get a call from the gal — «you forgot your salad.» «Oh,» I said «you forgot to make my salad?» she says «oh you make your own when its take out.»
Ok so why didn’t she tell me that while I was waiting all that time?
WTF?
I had to drive back — get the container for the salad, pick out a salad, get a container for the dressing… get stuck in that traffic again… my food was cold by the time I did get home with it and I got stuck in that traffic again.
OI have no idea what on earth I may have done wrong in another life to be treated like that and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sorry I put the buck in the fish bowl.
So if you go there :
1) hold off on the tipping till you are sure you are being treated properly.
2) Don’t be discreet about tipping — they apparently need to see you do it.
3) Make sure you get what you pay for before you head off into the traffic.
Hope the gal and the owner read this and get it. You are in the hospitality industry — you are supposed to be nice to people — not indifferent and un helpful. If I wanted to eat cold food — I would have opened my fridge and stayed home.
I am so not a fan. Luigis kicks your butt. They are cool and considerate people and the food is so much better. I will drive further and go to Luigis from now on

This place has great pizza and they always deliver in a very timely manner.

Won’t deliver unless you spend $ 24. Won’t substitute toppings and it takes longer than a hour to get the pizza less than a mile away.

I love the Hawaiian pizza because they put real bacon bits on top. Tonight I got the garlic breadsticks for the first time. I wish I would have known how amazing they are this whole time!!! Cheesy and gooey yumminess!!! Great customer service. Everyone is pleasant and detail oriented.

Great pizza! Service is not bad as well. I order pizza all the time for football sundays and have never been disappointed!

I have been coming to Milanos for years now. Never thought I would write a bad review but I went there and I’m not sure if they changed management but they didn’t want to accept a Unilocal coupon I had (Large Specialty Pizza for 15.99) when I’ve used this coupon MULTIPLE times and I said screw it, I’ll pay 27 dollars for my pizza. Got home, FOUND A HAIR IN THE PIZZA. This is the last time I will order from Milanos unless Farshad and his original crew is back.
Milanos was a 5++ star until this incident. Want the original crew back.

Great family spot, a selection of video games, Large TV screen for the games, and fresh salads. The salad bar was also very clean. Topped off with great customer service from Farshad!

I was there for an event recently. The pizza was really tasty, kind of in the Round Table style, but, you know, better.
I’d particularly recommend the Gourmet Veggie (and I’m a full fledged carnivore). It has a great pesto with a wonderful garlic bite.
I had the opportunity to meet the owner and he is a very nice guy.

I came to Milano’s for an election night party. It was my first time at the restaurant. It was amazing! The staff was so helpful and the pizza was awesome. I had the spinach pizza, and it could not have been better. The crust was fluffy, with a nice crispness. The toppings were excellent. I’ve eaten a lot of pizza while working on campaigns, this is the best pizza I’ve had in years. The wine was also really inexpensive, $ 25 for a bottle of Bogle Zin. The don’t try to gauge you on the drinks! The owner was so generous and really went out of his way to make sure everyone was taken care of.

The calzone crust was thick and bland. no olive oil, buttery, garlicky flavor. Nothing! The pepperoni must have been old or maybe it was not pepperoni… had no taste. The carpeting is stained and dirty.
Needless to say I will not be going back!
If it wasn’t for the company I had, I would have walked out!

This place is not worth coming back to again! The pizza was ok but the service sucked! We asked the people behind the register to clean the table 3 times! That shit was annoying and they cleaned it off but didnt wipe it down. They were rude i wont be back fuck milano up the butt.

The pizza is good. The customer service was cool. I ordered a calzone this time and wow, it was amazing. However if you’re counting calories or carbs it isn’t for you!
The calzone crust is light and topped with butter and cheese, I think maybe even some garlic salt — that touch just takes it over the top.
This place is also priced very well. I will be returning!

Cool moment: as my pizza was being made, the guy came over to me, «You know, the white sauce already has a lot of garlic in it. Are you sure you still want the fresh garlic topping?» «Oh, can you make that double anchovy then?» «Sure, you got it»
While I wouldn’t have minded a ton of garlic, I enjoyed my double anchovy even more, nom nom. But it was cool that he was thinking about how to make a great tasting pizza rather than going through the motions.
Overall the pizza wasn’t crazy amazing, but I don’t think anyone expects that to be Milano’s niche anyway. Instead, you can expect a very tasty and well-​proportioned pizza that’s really satisfying.
The salad bar is totally forgettable and I’d say avoid, it has very little added value over going to a grocery store and blindly grabbing at green things to put in your cart.
The space itself is homey with a big TV, could see this as a place to have some pizza and pitchers, not just take out.

I’ve eaten here many times, mostly take-​out; this time Jeremy and I went in and ordered a pizza.
The woman at the counter was very nice, gave us a special deal for our first visit. I later saw it was the same deal I would have gotten for my check-​in on Unilocal.Oh well, maybe I’ll go again, not sure yet.
Pizza came out quick, it was fresh and flavorful. Environment was nice and casual.
