Been here a few times and everytime it’s always good. On my first visit I had the Cali bomber. My 2^nd visit was the Cali carnivour and today I ended up getting the Vegetarian. Liked them all. $ 3.50 for signatures half slices and I always get the half slice because even then the slices are big! Décor setting is nice. A lot of seatings they can accommodate a large party. 2 complaints I have is the wait for the pizza I mean isn’t too bad could be a little faster and the parking other than that all is good. They are also working on getting a liquor license. They have a bar area that isn’t being utilized for that reason. So far all my visits were good. Keep it up! Will be back!

Good pizza! The location leaves a lot to be desired. I would suggest if it’s later at night and you’re female, do not go outside alone. There were some weird people just lingering around and asking for change. I offered to buy one pizza and he just wanted money. The pizza place can’t really control these folks — this is just a heads up more than anything.
As for the pizza, it was hot, crust was crisp, toppings were fresh. I love you can either buy a slice or a ¼ of a pizza. I’d give it 5 stars if it weren’t for the drinks are canned. If they had a soda fountain, it’d be a lot better. Also the tv blaring some terrible sitcom was not cool. Despite this, I will be back again… most likely ordering to go.

I went to cali slice as part of a baby shower, and we were a pretty large group. The hours are posted as 11am to 3 in the morning. We got there at 3 in the afternoon, only to find the doors locked. We waited for 45 minutes, with the open sign merrily mocking us, until the owner came by to open up. One of the kids asked, «What took you so long?». And the owner tersely replied, «Your mommy didn’t make a reservation», then opened the doors, turned on the lights and left us with his employee. The employee was at least apologetic, helpful and friendly. I can’t rate the food, as I had to go to work. So one star for the emloyee, one for the fact I don’t know how the food was and am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt there, and three stars off for owner’s inability to respond to a six year old as an adult or a professional.

Wow. Came here about 4 days ago because my niece just move to the area and we had there pizza and I never knew pizza can taste so awful. The taste is still lounge in my mouth. Staff was friendly though. They need to close there doors or bring in a better tasting pizza. I hate Papa Murphy’s but they have them beat. I’m sure they don’t get much business with pizza tasting so horribly wrong. I have a thought… turn it into a place other than a pizza joint cause I sure your not making what you put into it.

I don’t know about the food, but I came here today and was one of two customers in the whole restaurant. I ordered some tater tots and a soda and it’s been over half an hour and I have not gotten any food yet. It’s 1:56 right now and I ordered at 1:22pm…even though I already paid I had to leave and go eat somewhere else. Worst service I’ve seen in YEARS!

The BEST pizza in town. Beats every pizza joint in downtown. I was blown away by the taste. Premium ingredients. The cheese was amazing. Staff was super friendly. My first time here and I’ll be coming back!!! Each slice for $ 3.50. I saw a sign for $ 2 slice specials, not sure what kind they are. The freshly baked cookies are amazing as well. Make sure you give yourself extra time. Although it is by the slice, you still have to wait 15 – 20 mins. They make it fresh. Worth the wait or call ahead of time.

Found this spot from fellow Unilocalers so I stopped in to try it the wait was long and there weren’t even customers but worth it when I arrived no one was there to take my order this guy popped out the back said he would be right there but it took an extra few minutes but I wanted to try it so I waited the girl finally came and was friendly and helpful I was in over my head I ordered the big slice which is like 2 big slices and it was as good as it looked a little on the greasy side tho and the pepperoni and pineapple was just ok friendly service it’s good to know there is a place that has big
pizza by the slice place beware its huge u know what they say the hole in the wall spots are the best note wouldn’t recommend for leftovers but if u have some left reheat it in the oven

This is one of the best pizza by the slice establishments I have ever frequented. When you typically order a veggie pizza there is mostly cheese, on their veggie slices it’s like a baked salad. Amazing.
For the last month I have come here once a week, I will follow Cali Slice all over the city if they were to ever relocate.

Order some wings and pizza when I came to pick it up they forgot about the wings had to wait extra 20 min they didn’t offer a discount or anything extra food came out great except for the pizza that wasn’t as fresh as it would have been
Other then that if you like a hip hop atmosphere and bay style pizza this is the spot

I have frequented this place many times and I always leave asking myself why I keep giving them another chance.
The owner charged us for a topping that was listed as free topping. He lied to our faces. I understand it is a family business and I wanted to support this local establishment, but I have run into constant issues such as dry meat, almost no toppings on a huge slice, cheese that uneven throughout the pizza. If you want to pay 5 bucks for a one topping slice, you should just go little Caesars and buy a 5 dollar pizza. I hope this place will make improvements because I want to like this business, but I simply can’t.

My first time here was today, I got the 2 calzone special. I had a number 1 and a number 2, and they both were awesome. The prices very inexpensive, and the food is worth a much higher price. The owner was very nice, and they can make you custom slices in about 8 minutes. Since they are right down the street from my office, I know I will be heading here a lot more for lunch. Highly recommended.

I’m going to break this review down to four parts; Food /​Wait time /​Service /​Conclusion
Food:
Ordered 10 piece buffalo wings and a big slice of Cali garlic and Cali carnivore. Buffalo wings were overcooked, if it wasn’t for the buffalo sause, the chicken would have been way too dry, like chicken jerky dry. Slice of pizza? Not sure, never got it…
Wait Time:
Dine in, 12:00am, group of 4 ahead of us. It took 40 minutes to receive half my order. Did they have to kill the chickens? Not sure. Plus my wings were cold.
Service:
The owner was very disrespectful to the new young lady cashier. She seemed a little lost and new to the whole system but the only person to blame is the owner/​manager, since he is her trainer. She was having a hard time keeping track of orders and I heard him yell and cuss at her multiple times in front of customers and in the back kitchen. He needs to take responsibility and be more patient and perhaps create a more efficient way of taking orders so it will be easier for all workers/​customers. I truly felt bad for her as she seemed extremely stressed and unmotivated from his actions. Happy employees = Happy customers. Me no happy, sad face :(
Conclusion:
After being there for 1.5 hours, I only got to try there buffalo wings and didn’t get a chance to experience their pizzas. I wanted to like this place but unfortunately the vibe from the whole experience killed it for me. After waiting and waiting for the rest of my order, I decided I’ve had it and asked the owner for my refund. He gave me my cash refund and a Cali freeze dessert like it was going to make everything better, I’m not a baby. I turned around and gave it to someone behind me. I felt disrespected, like his cashier.
I went straight to Pieces Pizza in downtown and got my hot pizza in 5 minutes, and they had a line out the door.

Not a great location. Went there on a Saturday night (around 8pm) and I was pretty uncomfortable. It’s next to a bar where I found quite a few of their customers wandering around, talking to themselves near Cali Slice. I just wanted to hide (and mind you, I consider myself pretty gangsta!).
We called our order in and were told it would take 20 mins. When we arrived, they said they needed more time. We waited in the car for 20 – 30 more mins. I’m sure they didn’t start our order until we checked in and paid for the pizza. I can’t blame them; but I wish I knew this ahead of time.
I found the pizza to be just OK. It was a huge, thin slice pizza. Apparently, that’s NY style? I wouldn’t know. In any case, the food was OK; but personally, I can settle for large chain pizzas to avoid having to be in such a sketchy neighborhood. On the bright side, if you’re really into «NY style» pizza, I hear they’re one of the best. Again, I wouldn’t know… still working on my «pizza game».

This pizza is bomb!!! Went in before heading over to idle hour for a drink and it was so good after our adult beverages we went back and ordered the calzones! So good!
Owner was very nice and place is clean and cutely decorated! Very professional staff I will definitely be coming back soon!

Walking into this place felt like an authentic pizza joint already! The owner quickly greeted us and walked us through the menu on how it works. This place allows you to get creative for all you pizza lovers out there, endless possibilities. Must try there Cali carnivore pizza & wings! Overall, I would be coming back very soon for more!

Me and my husband love this place so much we even came here after our wedding rehersal.
I’ve had pizza from other spots since I first tried cali slice, but they just don’t compare to the taste and quality.

Really really good food in a sketchy location. Meat Bomber Pizza is incredible, dare I say Life Changing. Better off coming here in the daytime though. My wife gave me the «Where are you taking me Moses? Did you bring me out here in the wilderness to die?» Look when I brought her here one night. The food was so good that the hate soon disappeared from her poor overworked bloodshot eyes.
The location had a family style atmosphere and the staff were extremely welcoming and courteous. The only thing I would suggest is that they get pizza boxes for to-​go orders. They gave us a plate and some foil over it, and I don’t know if that is because they were out of boxes or just didn’t have any (LOL Rochester)

Great pizza place that opened right down the street from my house. Parking may look a little sketch, but it’s a great place so don’t let that scare you away. It is located right next to a bar.
The pizzas here are good and customer service is great. They also have a different special each day. So come on different days to see what the special is our you can call to ask. I will come here when I don’t want to drive out too far or when I am craving a pizza at late at night. The only reason that it’s not getting 5 stars is because I feel like they skimp on the toppings sometimes. But not a deal breaker for me since the pizza still tastes great.
