The only complaint I have is that Luigis is not closer to Rocklin. Had a large sausage and pepperoni pie… was so good. I can’t wait to come back.

Great pizza and large portions! Bc of how thin the slices are I feel like I could eat a whole large pizza to myself! But luckily for my bf I share! Lol I will miss coming to this pizza shop once I move out of Sacramento! The flavors really are out of this world!

Grabbed dinner from here for the first time. Order the spaghetti and meatballs and the Luigis special pizza. The food was good and the guys there were friendly. I’ll definitely come back.

What a disappointment!!! I do a lot of research before I pick a place to eat. Just moved to the Curtis Park area. Luigi’s got a lot of good reviews, so I took my son, who helped me move for a meal here. This was pizza that lacked in sauce. cheese. flavor, it tasted like nothing. I can’t believe people think its is the best in Sacramento, if it is I won’t eat pizza here ever again. Children running all over the place, the should have gone to the park, employees kids? One small, one medium, 4 salads, 2 beers and 2 soda’s, $ 60 bucks.

If you’re looking for the best pizza place in Sacramento, this is the place to go. Always excellent customer service whenever I come in whether they’re busy or not. Great prices for amazing pizza. They have a great selection of toppings, always fresh and the best ranch I’ve ever had. Don’t waste your time anywhere else.

I have been to Luigi’s several Times now since the brother passed away, (The new owner is Luigi’s brother who generally is not on site and did not own a restaurant before) This might explain the low quality ingredients including the frozen crust which USED to be a hand tossed crust, there seems to be a completely different staff as well. The large pizza that we ordered had toppings in the very middle of the pizza and sparsely went out so there was about a 3 inch line to the crust with nothing on it. The sauce was sparse the ingredients were low quality, the cheese tastes greasy and plastic like. Not wanting to give up on the place as it was a Sacramento staple I returned several times with friends always walking away feeling disappointed letdown and ripped off. (1 time out of 3 we got sick, really bad heartburn thinking the sauce may of went bad, when we called the staff said its not their fault, excepting no responsibility! They said call the owner. We also mentioned the cheap ingredients and they said the owner orders everything) The shame is that this place used to be awesome. Yes the building and the inside was NOTHING to brag about but the PIZZA always made you come back! The pizza ranks in my opinion one of the WORST in SACRAMENTO Now! The cost seems higher and the pizza is NOTHING like the Original Luigi Pizza. No more smiling faces, it’s really just a shell of what it was. I believe this has happened with several businesses in Sacramento… when somebody else takes over somebody else’s dream & all they care about is making the money living off of somebody else’s success and in the end they run a great business right into the ground. RIPLUGI I know if you saw what your pizza has turned into you would surly Roll over in your grave.

Pizza is just ok. The biggest problem is the amount if time it takes to get pizzas on a Friday. Has to be the slowest kitchen I’ve ever seen. People came in way after and got their pizzas before outs.

I have been going to Luigi’s Pizza Parlor forever… now that I don’t live in the country and when I do come back to Sacramento… I will always stop in and get a large Luigi’s Pizza…

A very casual environment, with the BEST pizza. Dang… we enjoyed it very much, and plan to go back often. Very friendly staff, kid friendly, elder friendly, just seems like an ideal casual place to have a meal.

I have patronized Luigi’s for 40+ years. After the passing of Celso, the pizza has taken a turn for the worse. The crust was seemingly frozen and not freshly tossed as in the past. The toppings were grainy unlike the previous meaty chunks of house made sausage with the power of oregano. I will never return to this location. I will either go downtown to Luigi’s Slice or Roma’s 1&2. Disappointment !

I have lived in sac my whole life. Raised on Luigis pizza since i was a small kid. Ever since the owner Celsea passed away the pizza is gone all the way down hill bad. After taken my whole family out for a day at funderland and gunthers ice cream we stopped in and ordered a combo. Sad to say i will never go back ever again. Terrible!!!

While I miss the smiling, friendly face of Chelso this place has not changed a bit and I am so happy about that. Same amazing pizza, friendly service and fast!

Don’t believe the negative reports. Celso has passed and is definitely missed, but Luigi’s lives on, with the same great pizza. Staff continues to be friendly and efficient, and while the interior is dated and worn, it’s clean, so no worries there. If I had to pick, I’d say this is my favorite pizza in Sacramento.

Just left this location, the pizza was amazing! Staff was really nice and I will definitely be back. The ingredients were fresh and getting a large thin crust for $ 20 was pretty good. The fact this place is open until 2 am is also a plus because of the late foot traffic that might come in, so if you’re looking for a great late night pizza spot definitely stop by!

Called in pizza and they start making once I arrive? Really? I have long thought this place was one of the best in Sac Town. Based on my last experience, I am not so sure. The pie just doesn’t have that same Luigi flavor it once had. Also, the sausage tasted a bit funny. Crust was flakey(a bit too) and it came out hot, but its not like days of old. I would still go there, but not as often as I would like before. Off to Roma’s next time.

I thought we’d finally give this place a try since we drove by occasionally, but should have listened to other Unilocal reviews. 3 stars for service but honestly grossest pizza. We ordered chicken with white sauce and added bacon, thick crust. I have NEVER had a thick crust so thin and crispy in my life AND theres no sauce! Second, neither the menu nor girl on the phone when I asked about the pizza said anything about the seasonings that cover the pizza. We called to confirm that we indeed got the correct pizza and the girl on the phone and the manager who cut the pizza all confirmed it had been a thick crust pizza. They did offer ţo remake it but my kids had already had several slices so I declined and truthfully I didn’t want anything else from there. While I love supporting local places especially when they’re near by our family had agreed we won’t waste our money. However, if you like a thick crust pizza that taste like red baron’s, extra light sauce and tons of oregano, basil then this the place for you.

As the gray hairs become more prominent on my chin, I notice that my desire for quality food increases. When it comes to pizza, usually I’m satisfied with a stuffed crust from Pizza Hut, or a Bacon Artichoke Delight from Papa Johns. However, when I want a pizza that will remind my significant other why she grew in love with me(and remind my toddler why I’m one of the best fathers around), I treat my family to Luigi’s Pizza. Luigi’s may not be in the grandest of areas(I grew up in South Sac so I’m used to this); however, their product(pizza) will make you forget about where you are. When you pull up to this place you are greeted with the zesty aroma of freshly cooked bread. With the exception of WingStop, not too many restaurants are able to pull this off. The staff at Luigi’s are extremely friendly. Even though the line was pretty long when we entered, staff made it a point to greet every incoming customer(real fast: name 5 places you’ve been that do this). We ended up creating our own version of a combination pizza(their version of a combination pizza is offered on a limited basis). Our pizza was nothing short of amazing. Everything was fresh, and the crust was edible(don’t act like you’ve never had pizza with burnt crust). My only regret was not purchasing a side of their ravioli. I’ve never had ravioli outside of the Chef Boyardee canned delights(pure nostalgia). We’ll be back in the very near future!

Heard of celso’s passing earlier today, it made my heart heavy & sad…& yes shed some tears, the last few times we asked about him, we missed his face & although We didn’t know him well we knew was a sweet man, & I could see how he helped others in the community(I’m a observer anytime I’ve eaten there, I don’t care for the TV). I hope the community shows love to the family in this time since he had such a big heart for others. I love their ‘homemade’ ranch & their pepperoni pizza. My husband loves their Ham & their cheese bread. It is pricey BUT it’s worth it, even with the wait. I suggest calling it in Early on the weekends. There’s quite a few arcade games, a juke box & a TV. Ps the bathrooms don’t lock make sure you have someone wait out the door for you. I’ll be continuing to come here, thinking the place will still remain… RIP Celso B. Your presence will be missed.
