I have been dining at this Nordstrom Café for 16 years. since I was twelve. I started out with the kids chicken nuggets and eventually evolved into the wonderful selection of grown up food, most notably the chicken tomato alfredo :). I literally don’t even come to the mall to shop, just to eat.

I hadn’t been here in years! I used to always come here for the Santa Fe chicken sandwich. I finally came back for one and it wasn’t as good as I remembered it, but it was still good. It was definitely pricey for a sandwich($ 12.xx). They didn’t skimp on the meat, so maybe it is worth the extra couple of dollars for a sandwich. And maybe it was too much meat to my liking, making the sandwich a bit dry. Overall, it was good. I think I’ve relived it and I’m good for another couple years. 3.5 stars.

Cilantro Lime Chicken salad was good. The amount of salad I got was less than what I expected. The server walked by with the same salad that had way more portion than mines… inconsistent? $ 12.75 for a plate of salad is already high and what I got was not worth it. Tomato Basil soup was tasty. Also they only serve food that are on their menu along w special of the day soup/entrees. it changes daily.

I shop at Nordstrom all the times, but never try the café food. So today I thought I give it a try with my family. I order Chinese Chicken Salad, California Grill and Chicken Tomatoes Alfredo. Everything is just okay. The salad and sandwiches was okay. The chicken Alfredo was spicy and salty. The menu didn’t said spicy, but it was spicy for me and my daughter. My bill/tip came up to $ 51. The food is okay and it’s too pricey for 3 item. I definitely had better in my life The service was great they came and check on us and refill our water. I wouldn’t come for more, but I might come back in the summer for their berry short cake. Lol. Sorry Nordstrom café your just not my cup of tea

Work brings me to Stockton, Sacramento and Roseville. This Nordstrom restaurant is not like any others. The food is average and over priced. Disappointing. Am I at La Bou? That’s what it feels like. Where are the nice, personable, knowledgable food servers? Not here. Dry, wilted salad or greasy chips go with all the sandwiches– no fries or potato salad or something good. They have a good pizza and that is why 2 stars instead of 1.

I continue to hear great reviews about this place. It’s a great place to stop by for lunch during your shopping time. It’s located on the 3rd floor of Nordstrom right next to the lingerie section. Haha, weird location I know. You order at the counter then take a seat where you like. They’ll bring your goodies out to you. I ordered the chicken tomato alfredo which was good and light on my stomach. Portion was perfect size. My niece ordered the California grill sandwich. That was a warm and cheesy one. 1 bite was sooooo good. Recommend both dishes. It was a bit pricey I thought but worth the money. The waiter was really nice. I asked for a cup to dump my left over soda into so I can take it to go. He came back with a new drink instead. Lovely.

I came here for lunch twice with a coworker. You order and pay at the counter, and then you seat yourself. On my first visit, I ordered the salmon Caesar salad. After tax, it was $ 16, but it was so worth it. The salmon is seasoned with Cajun spices and blackened. It is then topped with a chipotle aioli. The salmon was cooked to perfection. The salad was dressed evenly and the croutons were crunchy and seasoned nicely. I can’t wait to eat this again! On my second visit, my food didn’t taste as great(womp womp womp). I decided on a half salad and cup of soup. The salad was a shrimp arugula with corn and polenta, and the soup was baked potato. The soup was delicious! I would definitely eat this again! However, the salad was just not for my taste buds. I didn’t like the dressing and the polenta was actually fried(?). I’m not even sure, but the polenta was more like croutons sprinkled on as a garnish. The description on the menu was very misleading. Another negative about this café is the service. On the first day, our waitress took forever to bring out our drinks, and yet I saw others, who ordered after us, with drinks. On the second day, we had a different waiter, who was very nice and attentive. To my knowledge, Nordstrom ALWAYS has great customer service; so they should really work on this aspect. They have some good lunch deals(aka kids’ meals) that are filling for adults. I will most likely return for that salmon and to also try other items on the menu.

Horrible service they left me and my mother sitting for over 40 minutes watching other people get their food and we couldn’t even get an explanation as to where our food was!!! Then when I went to the front to get my money back they gladly refunded me with a vague explanation of the cook did not properly prepare and cook the chicken so it had to be sent back. Well hello why not tell your guests what is going on with the food they ordered!!! Obviously they need better customer service and communication skills because they are severely lacking in this department they should also hire a new chef if he is messing up orders as simple as the one he was preparing. I will not be returning any time soon and I will be submitting further reviews. Don’t ever go here if you are hungry and in a hurry because you will not be left satisfied.

The incredible shrinking salad plus a rude manager equals no more Nordstrom Marketplace Café! I have been a longtime customer of the Nordstrom Café but that all ends today. After taking a close look at the lunch that sat before me — Cilantro Lime Chicken Salad($ 12.25), I quickly realized it had shrunk considerably over the years. Today it is truly not much larger than a side salad. This was mentioned to our waiter who summoned the manager immediately. The manager’s attitude was quite rude — saying this is the salad so too bad! He offered to bring more lettuce, but never did. This is not at all what one would expect from Nordstrom… perhaps, he never received the memo on how to treat patrons. Adiós Nordstrom Marketplace Café!

Stopped by for a quick lunch while shopping at Nordstrom. Ordered their chicken pasta and tomato bisque soup and it was delicious. Pasta is seriously one of the better pasta dishes I’ve had in Sacramento. This pasta came with a generous amount of chicken along with spinach. The sauce was very rich and creamy, exactly how I like it! The tomato bisque was also very good. The soup came out piping hot with a side of breadstick. For dessert I tried their berry shortcake and it was phenomenal. It seriously tastes as good as it looks! Service was fantastic. Our server came around often to check up on us and to replenish my glass of lemonade. Definitely will be back the next time I’m shopping at Nordy’s!

As a long time customer of Nordstrom’s café(10+ years), I am extremely disappointed at the recent changes made. The new manager, his name I do not know, has brought the place from a four to five star café to a one(that’s being generous). Let’s start out with him(manager). He is rude, disengaging, and clearly does not know two licks about customer service. With his takeover the menu was cut and foods were substituted with cheaper alternatives. The food now lacks quality and quantity. The only reason I even tolerate eating at this establishment is because my mother insists we do. We have been customers so long and it was always a tradition to eat here while we were shopping. It’s really pathetic how this café got to such a low point. I really hope enough complaints are made so that it changes back. And changes management as well!

I love shopping to thepoint of sheer hunger but sometimes the food court just doesn’t cut it. Where has this place been all my life. Why has it taken me so long to eat here? We came here for lunch before we started shopping to get some much needed energy. You order at the front and then get a number for your table. We got the arugula procuistto pizza and cilantro lime chicken salad. Both were bombdotcom. The cilantro lime was so tasty. Perfect balance of flavors and it was an really intensely sized salad. Pizza was cooked perfectly. Crust was delicious. Flavor was all there. Service was awesome. Really attentive. Refilled drinks often. And checked up on us just the right number of times.

Tired from shopping and in need for a quick bite to eat? LOOK no further! Nordstroms Café is located on the third floor of Norstroms and the food is amazing! Menus are offered at the front and orders are taken at the register before you take your seat. There are a variety of things to eat such as pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and even soups. My girlfriends and I were shopping and wanted to have a nice healthier choice besides fast food, but didn’t want to go to a sit down place that would take too long. So, this place was definitely the happy medium. My friends and I ordered the the tomato basil soup, the cilantro lime chicken salad, and a pizza to share. Everything came out perfect. The salad was tasty, the pizza was absolutely delicious, and the soup came w/a crunchy cheese crostini on top. We devoured all the dishes, so rest assured, the food is bomb dot com! You can also order half sizes if you’re not feeling too hungry, and the servers are super attentive in attending to your needs and refilling your drinks. Remember, you pay at the cash register so if you forgot to tip then, make sure you have cash to tip later! Definitely will come back when I’m in need of a shopping break.

Seriously, they sell food here? Would’ve never thought that Nordstrom had a restaurant but wow am I a Belieber. I mean a believer. While everyone else is filling up their shopping bags with Christmas cheer, I’m filling up my stomach with YumYum over here. lol. I love the Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich… Its no 5 dollar footlong. It’s way better and the absolute best. Succulent, smackalacking, sacrilicious. lol. There is so much good stuff in it — blackened chicken — avocado — jack cheese — caramelized onion — roasted sweet peppers — chili pepper aioli all on grilled sourdough bread. Its just such a cool little surprise to find such deliciousness in a department store like that. I hear their other entrees are great as well so I will most def be back. =p

I’ve been to Nordstroms more times than I would like to admit, but have yet to go to one of their cafes until this past weekend. Needless to say I was shockingly surprised at the quality of food and the great service. Normally I wouldn’t even review an establishment like this since they’re pretty standard across the board I feel it falls in the realm of reviewing a Taco Bell(you know what you’re gonna get!), but I thought the service alone deserved a review. I split a fresh mozzarella sandwich and side salad with a friend and we both left full and happy — ready to go spend more money(funny it’s like Nordstrom designed it that way…). Anyways, good to know these places exist in such a go to shopping location, here’s hoping that the service is just as good in other locations as it is in Sacramento.

Whether you’re just passing through for an event or actually staying at the hotel, there is a little dining area called the Marketplace Café located on the first floor of the Embassy Suites(not to be confused with the Tower Bridge Bistro restaurant), and is a convenient option for anyone who needs a quick yet substantial bite! Order and pay at the counter, then have a seat and your food will be brought out to you. The lunch menu was actually more extensive than we thought it would be, consisting of a variety of sandwiches, burgers, some pasta and salads, and even ice cream(believe me, I was tempted)! Because this is technically hotel food, the feel is a little more upscale than you might find in very nearby Old Sac, as well as a little more expensive… however, I didn’t find it TOO outrageous — my turkey burger was close to $ 12 with tax but the burger itself was decently sized and flavored with a reasonable amount of fries provided on the side. I was pleasantly surprised at how long, crispy, and delicious the fries were! My only minor complaint was that although the burger came with most of the usual fixings(lettuce, tomatoes, onions), it didn’t come with any cheese, which my taste buds faintly longed for afterwards. Water cups are available for free by the seating area so no need to quench your thirst while making your wallet even sadder. Our food came out considerably fast, maybe 5 minutes after we ordered, although service seemed to slow down as the kitchen got busier, so be sure to beat the lunch rush! Not my first choice if I have no reason to be at the Embassy Suites, but an easy option if you happen to be there.

I really like this place, and I’m glad I tried this place today. For being a Nordstrom card holder, I’m surprised I’ve never tried this place. I’ve heard great things through Unilocal of course. This place reminds me of an upscale panera bread lol. They offer salad, soup, pasta, and sandwiches. Pretty legit if you ask me. You just go up to the counter and order. Good, dessert, and something to drink. Pretty easy. I ordered the chicken lime salad, and my cousin ordered the chicken tomato fettuccini. The salad was amazing, corn, pumpkin seeds, greens, and one piece of cilantro lol. The fettuccini was red, but I’m guessing it’s because of the tomato. It was actually really good. They also offer sparkling voss water mm. Would I come back? Yes. Service was great too, when you sit down, servers come and serve you food and water, then give you little pieces of chocolate at the end of your meal.

I love this place! Every dish I’ve had here is delicious. This place is tucked away on the top floor of Nordstrom and most people don’t realize it is there, and just how good it is. Their warm tomato basil soup, topped with a cheesy crostini is amazing on a cold day. Other standouts are their margherita pizza, salmon pasta and delicious strawberry shortcake dessert. When the weather is great they have a patio outside and you wouldn’t even know you’re at the mall. They also have half sandwich/salad/soup options that are perfect for a light lunch. I definitely love showing people that this place exists! It’s delicious, and not overly crowded. Highly recommend.

Decent food, friendly servers, much nicer alternative to the food court. Not always the fastest service so be prepared to chat with your company or if you are solo (Like me today) you will have time to write a Unilocal review! Great salads and sandwiches.

How did I not know this place existed??? My friend and I wanted to fill up before our day of shopping, and she introduced me to this place. It is basically a glorified café with amazing service and very good fresh food. You stand in line for your order and prepay. You seat yourself and within seconds, a server comes to take your drink order and tell you your food is coming. They serve you your food quickly thereafter and bring any condiments you might need. They refill your water and make sure you are happy with your meal. It is just weird because you have already paid for your food but you still have a server whom you tip(well deserved!). I loved the service aspect of this whole experience. I got a chicken sandwich and side salad and soup(cioppino). The ingredients were extremely fresh, the chicken was tender, and they did not skimp on any seafood for the cioppino. Overall, great experience! Only thing is, expect to pay higher prices than a regular café/deli. It is worth it, just not the usual. Also, make sure to come before or after the noon lunch crowd. The line gets long quickly!

Dammit! my entire review was just erased on accident. Nordstrom café has a reputation for being delicious and well worth the cost. I don’t think that their food is very expensive but the quality is that of a 5 star restaurant. I love their berry chicken salad and my fiancé loves their French dip. Our most recent server was Wayne — great experience all around. Wayne was very attentive and paid attention to every detail to ensure that our eating experience was above par. Make sure to sit on the patio — trees as far as the eye can see! 5 stars for Nordstrom Café!!!

Met the BFF for lunch the other day, and our experience made me really question why I don’t frequent this place more often. From the amazing service to the drool worthy food AND desserts… really…why am I not coming here at least once a week? I decided to do dessert first since I was waiting for my friend to arrive, and ordered the lemon ricotta cookie while I waited. This is zingy cookie with a cakey consistency, and every bite just melted in my mouth. I don’t consider myself a lemon kinda girl, but I could eat a whole plate of these without batting an eye. I’ve had the pineapple coconut cake in the past and loved it too. Next time I want to try their tiramisu, since I’ve heard good things. Now on to lunch… I ordered the Santa Fe sandwich and a side salad and cilantro lime dressing. The sandwich had so much flavor. From the melty cheese to the roasted peppers to the carmelized onions. Perfection. My friend had their salmon with angel hair pasta in lemon cream sauce and asparagus, which was just as delightful. I could really taste the parmesan in the sauce and the salmon was cooked perfectly. Items tend to cost more than most things you’ll get in the food court in the mall, but trust me, it’s SO worth it. My sandwich was so big I only ate half of it and my salad, and took the rest home. Our server was spot on and our water glasses were always refilled quickly. I can’t wait for my next visit already!

I almost never eat at the mall. I know of the Nordstrom Café, but have never ventured to it because it is a bit out of the way(located on the 3rd floor of the department store). I didn’t know what I was missing! My friends and I met up and decided to dine here. The staff was very friendly from the cashier, to the manager and the server. Food quality was outstanding. Everything is made from scratch: soups, salads, sandwiches and pastas. Wine is also available. Roma Tomato Basil Soup– It was rich and creamy. It also came with a parmesan crostini. Citrus Salmon Caesar Salad– romaine lettuce, pan-seared citrus salmon, parmesan cheese, garlic croutons, parmesan crisp, housemade caesar dressing. Caesar salad can be boring but the salad was very fresh and light. I love salmon, so it made the salad even more appealing. Afterwards, the four of us decided to share some dessert. We ordered the tiramisu and cheesecake. Both weren’t too heavy. You can’t go wrong with either dessert. Next time you’re at the mall, enjoy a meal here. There’s even a patio. I definitely would walk those extra steps and eat here again.

Why eat at the mall’s food court when you can get better food at Nordstrom Café? Yesterday was my first time trying it out! I must say I was definitely impressed. I felt like I was at a 5 star restaurant with the food and service being so spectacular! As soon as we step into the café, we were immediately greeted and directed to take a look at the menu to order. I ordered the tomato basil soup & salmon and asparagus angel hair pasta. SOOOO good! We also paired our meal with a bottle of Pinot Grigio which was very refreshing on a hot day! The tomato basil soup was probably one of the best I’ve had and the salmon and asparagus pasta really hit the spot! I loved getting that hint of lemon with every bite of my pasta and the salmon was cooked perfectly. The portion was a bit big for me and I told myself I would only eat half… but the inner fat girl in me ended up cleaning out the whole plate! For dessert, we shared the tiramisu and cheesecake. My favorite was the cheesecake! It wasn’t overly rich, but just perfect so you didn’t feel like it was too heavy to eat. The service was great! Our food came out very quick and our server was very attentive and never let our wine or water glasses get empty. He made sure we had everything we needed and that we were happy with our meals. What is there not to love about Nordstrom Café? I will definitely be back to try their sandwiches and salads! Thank you for an amazing first time experience!
