Ok, I have been going to and enjoying Jimboy’s since I was a child, I’ve never had anything in my food until TODAY!!! Ugh… yuck…gross!!! Yes there was something in my food. When I went up to the counter to show and tell the employee, what I had found in my 2 beef taco combo plate. She too was horrified! She took the disgusting item I had carefully placed in a napkin, went in the back I waited and waited and waited. She never came BACK! I was so flustered and grossed out I forgot to take a photo!!! So I went back to my seat. I was so grossed out, I felt like my stomache was going to hurl!!! Then my friends told me to go back up and ask for a FULLREFUNDFORMYGROSSENCOUNTER!!! The counter person told me it was basically the DAYSHIFTSPROBLEM!!! To call on MONDAY and speak the the«DAYMANAGER»!!! What a drag… you lost cool points with me and all my friends that were with me!!!

Check your order when going through the drive thru. Sad sad night when you get off work stop for food only to get to Tahoe Park and find part of your order missing. Super sad face Jimboys! I called and was put on hold for over 30 minutes so I hung up. What kind of customer service is that? A good business would make it right. Here’s an idea use the money I gave you for nothing and put it towards your order screen that’s broken. Not cool.

I have never felt so disrespected in my life. My aunt who is in the hospital enjoys Mexican food so I decided to pick up some food for her, however she isn’t eating much at a time so I asked if there was any way each i item(rice, beans, enchilada, burrito) could be packaged in separate containers. The lady responds with«are you kidding me» in the rudest voice. I felt like I was such a huge inconvenience for them. I should of left then but decided to finish placing my order. I get to the window and kindly ask the guy if the enchilada was beef or cheese cause I was just unsure. And the same lady comes behind him and says«beef that is what you ordered» again with a huge attitude. I was so upset that someone could be so rude even after knowing I was on my way to a hospital. I will never go to Jimboys again, I will go somewhere that someone appreciates customers.

I must say my family and I felt nostalgia for the fresh delicious taste of Jim Boys Tacos after moving here to the peninsula area. I grew up in the sacramento area eating this but Unfortunately mom transfered jobs. The Mexican food over here in the peninsula sucks because I think it’s more traditional, but than again I ate at other mexian restaurants in sacramento and they were really good, so I don’t think that’s the issue.!! Jim boys would make a killing openning one here in Monterey, Salinas, and Marina!!! Best mexican food I have ever had!!!

I was surprised how good the food here was. I figured it was like a Taco Bell but the tortillas were crispier than expected. It didnt hurt my stomach and the food was fresh tasting. The cashier did keep my change for some reason but it was probably distraction from the drive thru order.

When you want cheap fast Mexican food this is the place to go. Their daily specials are great for the price and their bean burritos hit the spot. I always steer towards the cheese enchiladas, taco salads, ground beef tacos and bean burritos. Their nacho cheese sauce is some of the best around(it’s not that slimy semi edible stuff other places have) If you walk in try the salsa bar. The verde is off the hook!

I’ve been going to this Jimboy’s regularly for a few years now. Over the last year service has really gone downhill. The drive-thru is insanely slow — I spent 30 minutes there tonight — and they aren’t very accurate. Now that the order screen is broken, you can’t even see if they’re putting your order into the computer correctly. Jimboy’s used to be my favorite fast food around the grid, but now it’s just an exercise in frustration.

They don’t take credit cards. They let you take out money using an ATM system but you have to take out more money than the food costs. Most importantly the sign said the ATM charge was 79 cents but in reality we were charged $ 2 and not 79 cents. The food was ok but the smell was disgusting and made it hard to eat. There are much better places to eat tacos in this area.

First off, let me just say I absolutely love Jimboy’s. I’ve loved Jimboy’s since I was 5 years old. And quite honestly, I still order the same food when I come here. The one negative about this particular location is the long line the drive thru always seems to have. It’s quite possible that going inside would be much faster. Long lines aside, the food is as authentic as it’s going to be for a fast food chain. The tacos are excellent. The taco shells are fried perfectly, so you have the right amount of crunch without the possibility of stabbing the roof of your mouth. The Parmesan cheese on the shell is a nice added touch to an already flavorful taco. My favorite of all has to be the ground beef super nachos. I have been ordering these for as long as I can remember and they never disappoint. I’ll let you in on a little secret, add Spanish rice to the middle of your nachos. This way you’ll have a nice mixture of rice, beans, ground beef and sour cream with every single bite. All in all, I’ve never had a bad experience at this location. The service is excellent and the food is tasty. Besides the long lines at the drive thru(which is totally out of the staffs control), there is nothing but positive things for me to say about Jimboy’s. Just writing this review had me craving Super Nachos.

It’s good if you want a quick taco and this is the only place you really trust. Decent for the money and for the taste. I know they’re tons of people who swear by Jimboys Tacos but eh, I’m not one of them. It’s a fast food chain, what you expect? I’ll stick to my hole in the walls that I love.

We have been to this location several times and always go for the tacos. Something addictive about parmesan coated tortilla shells and gooey goodness on the inside. The staff is always friendly and service quick, so definitely one of our go to spots when we have a hankering for Jimboys’ take on tacos!

You may be wondering why a fast food joint gets a 5-star rating from me. I’ll tell you why, the food here is so tasty I actually start to go through withdrawals if it’s too long between visits! I’m fairly certain there’s some sort of magical potion stirred into that tasty ground beef in my tacos, those yummy-as-all-get-out taquitos, the gobs of cheese, steak, and grilled onions that go into my quesadilla, and last but not least, that green salsa. OMG, that salsa is the bomb-diggity! I always park and go instead just so I can load up on that salsa. And what about the service? Very good — always friendly at the register and pretty darn quick delivery of my food. Gotta run, I need a taco fix!

Shocked at how tasty the tacos here are! Had the late night munchies recently and I was impressed with both the signature ground beef taco and a chicken El Gordo taco. The flour tortilla was spot on and broke away so easily with each bite. Inside, I was impressed with the tenderness of the chicken and generous portions of all the toppings. As much as I generally avoid fast food, Jimboy’s will take care of late night Mexican cravings without a doubt.

Delicious. :) been here twice. First time the beef burrito was yummy. Second time the chicken taco salad was even better. The sauce is amazing!

A full year of disappointing Jim Boy’s trips seems like a good reason to update my previous review. Which makes me sad, because I used to really love it. For the most part, the service is adequate but not friendly. The breaking point for me was asking a simple question and having them guess incorrectly while telling me they were sure and not even bothering to find out the real answer. The question was«is the fish in your fish tacos breaded?» That isn’t a subjective question and all the dingbat at the counter had to do was ask someone in the back, which she literally could have done by turning her head to look slightly over her right shoulder. BTW, the fish is breaded, and it is disgusting. The quality of the food has also steeply declined. It’s always been a greasy joint, but the food is now consistently sloppy, not the right temperature, soggy, wilted, and every other word you can think of that is the opposite of good, appetizing, and edible. The only thing that is edible here anymore is the fries, which I still really dig. Thinking of saving time by going through the drive-thru? Think again, they’re super slow and screw your order up every single time, so you end up pissing off everyone behind you as you sit and wait for your correct order for another 8 – 10 minutes. If you’re in the mood for some spontaneity, order something that sounds good to you, and then have them spin the wheel of random food items and see what you actually get! Ordered a steak super burrito with no beans and get a bean and cheese quesadilla instead? CRAZYFUN! They will also screw up your order in the store, but at least you can swat flies and play with the garbage on the tables while you wait. You broke my heart Jim Boy’s. I probably won’t be back unless I’m really desperate. There has got to be a better location somewhere in town.
