Our fave go-to spot in Downtown Roswell. Great food, awesome selection of craft beer. I don’t think I have ever had anything bad there. Yes it is small but everything is on Canton Street. I don’t think that’s a reason not to go. It’s the experience of Canton. :)

Nothing bad to say. The staff was very pleasant. The food was mouth watering. The drink menu is more extensive than the food menu(no complaints). «The Dip» has me loaning for our next visit. All over a great«little«place but I’ve always heard that big things are in small packages & that is certainly the caae with Roux. We’ll definitely return.

I go here 2 times a month or more. Sundays are great, I love watching the late afternoon NFL game and having a good craft cocktail. Service is always on point and I have yet to have a bad meal! Love the oysters!

This place is our date night go-to. Food is amazing and my husband loves their craft beer selection. Service is always top-notch. I would make a reservation on busy nights if you have more than 3 – 4 people. My husband and I frequently go without making a reservation when it’s just the two of us. Be prepared to wait a tad on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights(depending on the weather). It’s worth the wait. I could go on and on about what we love about this place… They have seasonal menus, but some of our current favorites are the Shrimp and Grits, Jambalaya, Buffalo Shrimp Tacos, Zack’s Burger, Fish Tacos, Fried Pickles, Jumbo Pretzel, and as always, the beignets. Put yourself on their email list to receive their monthly emails to find out about their specials and when they do beer tastings. Oh — and their brunch is amazing as well!

I straight up love this place. Awesome selection of local and craft beers on tap, friendly staff, and amazing food. The pregnant wife and I went to Roux over the weekend as she had a craving for shrimp and grits. She always gets the shrimp and grits here and she loves them. Probably one of her favorite meals. I try and get something different each time I go, which isn’t too hard since the menu changes slightly seasonally. I started with a cup of the gumbo and added shrimp. The shrimp were good, but I did not think it added much to the dish, so I would probably skip that addition on future trips. The Gumbo has big chunks of sausage, and a nice subtle heat to it. I would travel down here just for this soup, it is so good, chunky, and flavorful. I would be remiss if I left out that I paired the soup with a Red Brick Divine Bovine, and it was glorious. After perusing the new seasonal selections, and conferring with the waiter, I decided to go with the Cuban, which I admit is not the most creole thing on the menu. The wife and I enjoyed our wait for the food and admired the small space and general good times going on all around us. When the food came out, my sandwich was piled high with pickles, ham, pork, and Swiss. The bread was soft and warm, but did not lack the bite that is customary with Cuban bread. I devoured the sandwich and fries and the jalapeño cheddar grits that I requested as an extra side, and was cursing myself for eating so much. Therein lies the only problem though… Food Addicts like myself should not go here… you cannot stop eating the awesomeness!

Don’t just pass by Roux — experience it. Your lucky if you can grab an outdoor seat right across from the motorcycle parking; it just makes it all more enjoyable. Start with the dip: crab, artichoke, spinach, cheeses and pita bread. Extra special taste. The fish tacos are a must have. Go with the jalapeño cheddar grits as the side. Very Tasty. The chicken wrap was really good. The chicken, bacon

You can find Roux on Canton on the Roswell Square. This is the second of our stops along the Square as a min-restaurant crawl as we explore Roswell. Like the previous stop, the Salt Factory, Roux on Canton inhabits a bit of a brownstone storefront along the same side, just a few businesses South. This is a Canjun and New Orleans inspired restaurant with many of the classic dishes, heavy on the spice and file(sassafras root). A bit of creole, a touch of cajun, and the distinctive tastes of shrimp, crawdads and other water dwelling creatures. The exterior has a few tables so you can make fun of the awkward clothing of the posers passing by as you sip on a cocktail. The interior has exposed brick, wooden beams and chalkboards much like the previous restaurant(Salt Factory) — not surprising as the building appears to have been build about the same time and in the same architectural style. It’s a bit of a mirror to Salt Factory — this time the bar is to the right and the tables and boards above to the left. The menu had beers and drinks on one side with food on the flip. I was happy to see several local craft including the very good Terrapin Golden Ale, Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat and Eventide Dry Stout on draft. Today I selected the New Belgium Slow Ride IPA(not on the menu but available on draft). My companions settled into Moscow Mules. The menu is divided into Starters, Plates and Mains. Continuing with our snacky-theme we ordered two sets of soft-shell tacos: Fish Tacos — blackened talapia with guacamole, cole slaw, feta cheese, and jalapeño lime aioli. These were quite good and savory. The fries were very good, twice fried. Buffalo Shrimp Tacos — grill shrimp, guacamole, cole slaw, blue-cheese and avocado ranch — these came with a side of hush puppies — they were acceptable but would have been better hot. The ambiance in general was quite a bit like Salt Factory — actually the menu was a bit similar as well. Next time I’ll try something more substantial and go for more of the New Orleans theme with some traditional dishes like the shrimp and grits or jambalaya. It was also a bit late to be taking in the desserts or we would have hit on the beignets — it’s been a while. My biggest complaint has to do with the parking but, as I’ve mentioned previously, the city is supposed to be addressing that. Have fun finding a parking place and arrive early to give you plenty of time.

Boy am I late! I have digested this food over 5months ago, but the delicious meal has stayed with me.(finally reviewing) Tiny place, crowded during lunch. My guest and I ordered a few favorites. We enjoyed everything. Waitress was attentive, while never forgetting us at the high corner table. Though she recommended her favorites, we already knew what we wanted. The pillowy sweet powdered beignets were free with a Unilocal check in.

Excellent jambalaya, shrimp and grits and their Moscow Mules are to eeeyawww for. Ian, our bartender, treated us right. Ask him about«dusting» each other with the powered sugar from the beignets.

My local friends brought my boyfriend and I here Sunday afternoon. The menu looked awesome but the two of us had to save our appetites for a large dinner later that evening and had had breakfast a few hours before coming here so we opted for liquid options and an order of beignets. I had the pear martini and my boyfriend had a local brew. The beignets were ok. Our friends tacos and Gumbo looked really good. Service was fast and friendly. We sat outdoors which was nice. Perfect little part of town to unwind and relax with friends. Private parking lot a couple doors down. I’d definitely return if in the area again.

Definitely one of my favorite places to eat in GA. The food is consistently great, and the staff is really friendly without being over the top. Genuine food, comfortable atmosphere and their po’boys are the stuff dreams are made of Just go you’ll love it!

Tasty Cajun food in downtown Roswell. For a Cajun restaurant outside of New Orleans, it’s pretty good. The menu has a lot of traditional Creole favorites(crawfish, gumbo, Po’boys, jambalaya) along with a bunch of sandwiches. My friends and I came to Roux on Canton for lunch after a weekend run. We were hungry, tired, and parched. I ordered the gumbo along with the salmon sandwich, which one of my friends orders almost every time she goes there. The gumbo was quite tasty — good consistency with tasty chunks of chicken and sausage mixed in. You can order the gumbo in different sizes. The salmon sandwich was also delicious — there was a little sweetness from the glaze put on the salmon and a decent amount of seasoning. It was served on the same bread as the Po’boys and had a yummy horseradish cream sauce. I mentioned that we were very thirsty to point out the great service here. We were so thirsty from our run that we were finishing our waters practically as soon as they were brought out. Once the waiter realized how thirsty we were, he was efficient to the point that our cups would be filled without us noticing or needing to ask. Cozy environment, tasty food, I would come back.

Welcome to the love child between the big easy(N’awlins) and Key West… A great neighborhood bar serving some of the best IPAs know to humankind, excellent food, nice clientele. And equally beautiful wait staff. In short,. It’s a one stop shop where you get it all,. And look forward to your next visit! Today I enjoyed the brunch of Crab cakes and Fried eggs. Its easy to do fried eggs, not so true with crab cake. Too often they are gloppy with too much mayo or dry and over cooked. Thankfuly Roux hits it just right. Another nice surprise. When I asked for some toast, I thought they would bring a shingle of Wonder bread. Instead,. They served me a bowl of sliced toasted French bread.

geez, finding parking in downtown roswell is a buzzkill. I’m not quite sure if there is free parking available, but all we saw were«event parking lots». the lots were $ 10 flat fee for all guests that were exploring/dining/drinking/whatever in downtown roswell. aside from having to pay outside of the city, our overall experience dining at «roux on canton» made up for it. the atmosphere of the restaurant was casual, yet divey looking. makes you almost feel like you’re in NOLA. there’s live music on the weekend and the guest performer plays right beside bar, which is the first thing you notice upon entering the restaurant. for dinner, me & bry opted for the«shrimp po’boy» and«shrimp & grits». the po’boy was probably one of the better executed ones in atlanta. not quite the best, but pretty good. as for the«shrimp & grits», we found it to be good, but not great. shrimp was cooked well, but the seasoning was just alright. the grits were what made the dish. we also ordered 2 drinks from their specialty menu — «hurrouxcane»(hurricane) AND«mark twain». both drinks were awesome! I was really excited to see passion fruit as an available flavor in their bar. also the whiskey in the«mark twain» was soooo smooth. I would reorder both these drinks in a heartbeat! although the the place was poppin’ that night and slam packed, the wait for 2 ppl wasn’t that bad. and the overall service was amazing. I’m so sad I forgot our server’s name, but he was on top of things that night! very friendly and hospitable staff at «roux on canton» :)
