Phenomenal people meet you at the door when you walk in. The food is really good and the Beignet is to die for. Very fairly priced from breakfast all the way to dinner. Must catch spot on Canton.

I’ll start by saying that I went back and forth on if I should write this review, or just never eat here again. Ultimately, I decided that with all of the options available in historic Roswell that people who use Unilocal deserve to know my experience at Adele’s. This was my second time at Adele’s — the prior being on my birthday where my sister and I dined for lunch. During that visit, the food was overly spicy, and we were super stoked for the pralines which ended up being pre-packaged and definitely nothing special. After calling around for Mother’s Day reservations, it was one of few places that had a table for 10 available. They were super nice and said they move things around, and we could sit in the covered outside seating. Upon arrival, we were seated and the atmosphere outside was great. It took our server maybe 15 – 20 minutes before she took our drink order — granted we were a bit early on our reservation. This only set the stage. A while after our order was placed, they began to bring out the food — a painful one plate at a time. Mine came out after a few others at my table were served, and I was waiting to eat, but my mother and grandmother(keep in mind it’s MOTHER’S DAY) encouraged me to eat. I was almost halfway finished, and my mother and grandmother still had not been served. I went inside and spoke with the owner/manager — she was very apologetic and said she would do what she could to make it right — this included putting a rush order on their orders of eggs benedict. My grandmother’s came out with an egg with runny whites, so she had to send back taking even longer. Our server was apologetic but unresponsive — she still didn’t bring my grandmother coffee after she asked twice — I also went to the bar to get that. We had to ask for water 3 times, as well as utensils to eat with. They did comp all the eggs benedict — my grandfather had also ordered, and his arrived first. They also comped our 4 orders of beignets. They said they had no idea what happened to the two orders of eggs benedict. That’s just not an acceptable response. The owner/manager apologized to me when I went to find her, but never came to the table herself(which would have gone a long way especially in the eyes of my mother and grandmother), and I’m not sure she would have done anything if I had not gone in to find her. Overall, to me, the food was highly inconsistent as this time around I had to add hot sauce, and the service was a complete fail. My Bloody Mary was not even close to being spicy and the olives disintegrated into the drink — gross. To the owner: Sorry, but if you want to keep great reviews, you need to be better prepared for special holidays and large parties, train your serving staff, and prepare your food more consistently. Very disappointing. When you know the service at a table has gone wrong — take the initiative to go speak to them! Roswell has too many other excellent restaurants to have this sub par experience.

Feel like I just took a trip to N Orleans for an hour and got my favorites! Excellent muffalatta, home made chips and beignets! All out in record time. The beignets are not Café du Monde, but they are good. Will was on point and was very attentive without imposing. Excellent service, excellent décor, excellent food! I’ll be back. :-) PS… they are located behind the salon on Canton.

Love love LOVE this place. The service is always fun and friendly, and the food is awesome. Constant highlights for me are: Etoufee!!! This is what makes me drive 30 minutes for this place. Others: Key lime pie(it’s huge… split it– trust me) Bread pudding …and weirdly enough, they have the best sweet potato tots I’ve ever had in my life. They somehow manage to keep them from becoming complete mush in the center. Poboys are good because the bread is incredible, but they’re pretty basic. Alligator was cooked perfectly, but you can’t go wrong with the shrimp. I highly suggest checking out their black board specials… Everything I’ve tried has been delectable.

We had a hankering for Cajun/Creole cuisine this past weekend so we made a reservation here for 8 pm. This was our first time to Adele’s but it will definitely not be our last. We got there early but we were seated right away. The restaurant was full but not crowded. Service was great. I had one of the specials — scallops with risotto and green beans. So delicious. My fiancé ordered the Lagniappe pasta and raved about how wonderful it tasted. We can’t wait to go back.

My first time here and I was pleasantly surprised. Nice, spicy Bloody Mary’s, and a shrimp poor boy, with a delightful spicy coleslaw and homemade chips made for a delicious lunch. Our service was prompt and friendly, although it was in the middle of a Saturday and not filled with a dinner crowd. I look forward to coming back for dinner and checking out more of the Cajun menu.

So, my family and I came here hoping to try a great new restaurant in Roswell. Unfortunately, I can’t say that we will be back. Overall, the food was mediocre(bland) and the service left something to be desired(ie, not the friendliest server and wrong order). The only highlight was the lobster bisque for our appetizer. It wasn’t terrible but that’s not really what I want to say after Sunday lunch. Oh, and the glass of prosecco I had was divine. To sum it up, there are great restaurants in Rowell. Adele’s just isn’t one of them.

Worst service ever. Table of eight and everyone had something wrong with their order. Four out of eight said«no mayo». They all came with mayo. Kids meals came to the table 15 minutes AFTER the adults. My muffeletta was awful. Stale bread, barely any olive spread. The waitress said authentic? Not even close. The nasty muffeletta at Jason’s Deli is better than this. Thumbs down. Used to be a good place.

A perfect way to end Roswell Restaurant Week 2016. We were slightly disappointed by our first restaurant week selection and were really excited for Adele’s. Big plus? Free parking lot. I don’t really appreciate having to pay for valet or public parking in the suburbs… We accidentally walked through the back entrance. Oops. But the executive chef happened to be standing there and greeted us in his larger than life manner. He was so jovial and friendly, I felt like I had just entered his home and he had invited me to dinner. Our server had a memory of steel and memorized our restaurant week selections no problem. I got my free sweet tea(included with the Restaurant Week meal), an appetizer of Louisiana flash fried alligator bites, Adele’s trio(consisting of crawfish étouffée, jambalaya, and the daily soup of jalapeño crawfish corn chowder), and the bread pudding for dessert. My friends were real Unilocal sports and ordered all the other dishes so that I could try and review those as well. The alligator bites were awesome. Tasted like chicken. It was hard to make out the alligator, but I suppose I didn’t mind, in this situation. My friend’s calamari fries were tastier than expected. I wasn’t sure what to expect from these but they looked like the Burger King chicken fries. Good or bad thing, I don’t know, but I do love chicken fries. The crab cake was pretty good, as well, but not memorable. The corn chowder was AMAZING. I loved the flavor and I just love corn chowder in general. This really hit the spot. I wasn’t a fan of the étouffée(I couldn’t even finish the small cup of it) but the jambalaya wasn’t bad. I wish I could have gotten two cups of the corn chowder instead. The shrimp creole wasn’t bad, and the gumbo was ok to me, although I’m not a fan of the smokiness of a good gumbo in general. Dessert was bomb. The beignets aren’t like Café du Monde, but they were pretty good, for sure. Freshly fried and sprinkled with sugar, these beignets could easily rival any other beignet made in an Atlanta counterpart. The bread pudding was also pretty tasty, although at this point, I was so stuffed that I couldn’t appreciate the warm dessert. It would have been even better if I were paired with a scoop of ice cream. Service was definitely a 5 star experience. The executive chef came to our table a couple times that night, noticed our orders of dessert and brought out at least 4 – 6 freshly fried beignets for us to take to go. Overall, a solid experience. What was disappointing in the food was made up for in impeccable service.

I must say that this is a pretty decent place for a po-boy. I have not tried the other food but definitely intend to. The venue itself is an overall small venue, so on the weekends, it can get pretty tight in there. On a nicer day, they do have outside seatings. The Shrimp Po-Boy was good, nothing too special about it. I do wish they added a bit more cajun too it. However, It is my understanding that they do not make it spicy on purpose to have a larger customer base. Maybe next time I can ask for a bit spicier? I definitely recommend coming to this place for a smaller more intimate venue with great food. They also have live music on Friday’s and Saturday’s.

Omg Shrimp Creole!!! I was practically licking the bowl! Sooooo delicious! My first time here for lunch and it was so yummy! I had the creole and sweet potato bites… all Delish! Such a cute cozy venue and the owners are a sweet as can be! Can’t wait to come back for live music this weekend! Soooo I hate to edit my review especially with something negative bc the food was so delicious, but the service was TERRIBLE. I sat outside quietly working on my computer during lunch and I had to go inside and find someone to take my order after I was sitting there for about 15min & after my food was dropped off, no one checked on me, asked if I wanted another glass of wine(which I did), brought my check… nothing. I had to go inside to find someone to help me and they told me my server had clocked out.

Went to Adele’s a few days ago and it was not bad, pretty good overall but some room for improvement. To summarize: service was excellent(our waitress was very attentive and helpful), the po-boys were delicious, the jambalaya was just ok, could be better, the beignets were a little below average, could be better. If you compare them to a few of the good restaurants in New Orleans they come very close but some of the dishes are kind a hit or miss. I think the previous establishment that made beignets here did a much better job and of course not close to the ones you would get at Café du Monde. But they’re trying so hopefully it will get better. Maybe time will tell…

Very tasty comfort food! Authentic po boys, crawfish etoufee, and beignets. Great service and pricing. Cozy atmosphere. Stumbled upon this little place off Canton Street; would’ve never noticed it, as it sits back behind a building and shares a structure with a gallery. Want to return when weather’s warmer to enjoy outdoor seating on deck and in cute little alleyway seating.

So sad, this was my fourth time here and for some reason today was just not good. Our potatoes came out cold, some stuff didn’t come out at all, the coffee was lukewarm and the beniegts came out after the entrees. The ‘manager’, Holly was ill-prepared to handle issues from the kitchen or customers. Our server was really very nice and apologetic, but it was apparently her first breakfast service, she should have had assistance so she could start out on a good fit. We received $ 15 off the bill but what I lost in restaurant cred after hyping the place for so long… is worth so much more =(

We really like the new location for Adele’s, more lively neighborhood. Although there’s a bit less space, the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. Adele’s variety of Creole and Cajun favorites hits all the bases. Their shrimp and grits has the right amount of spice to not be bland but not be overwhelming for the majority of diners. It’s fun to pick three from the signature dishes and sample around. Last time we were in I had a grouper special that was very good, with moist, flavorful fish atop a pearl barley risotto and delicious roasted Brussels sprouts. They have some good options for local and NOLA area beers. Mixed drinks are on the pricier side. We ended our meal with an amazing bread pudding. Save room for that. It’s big enough to share. Serivice was especially friendly. We didn’t feel rushed at all. There seemed to be good teamwork among servers.

Love to poboys and gumbo. It’s better than flying down to New Orleans for lunch and hasn’t been busy the two times I’ve been. Alligator poboy was good but their shrimp was better and catfish was not over cooked and had a really good taste. The gumbo was good and my friend’s jambalaya bowl was good and sizable. The service was ok. The last time the server was very nice but would forget items I ordered or asked for. Not bad but not great since it wasn’t busy. Definitely finish the meal with chicory coffee and beignets.

Overall great service, food, and experience on my last visit. This is a perfect Cajun style restaurant; straight from New Orleans. The shrimp and gator were great and came in good-sized portions. This location also has beignets and brunch; definitely try both. Only downside of this restaurant is its small size. We went on a Sunday afternoon, and seating was fine. However, on a busy weekend night this place likely gets full quickly. Parking is easy though at this location, which is rare in «downtown» Roswell. Looking forward to a return trip, and to try more of their great menu.

It pains me to give Adele’s a bad review. We love the food, the gumbo is amazing, we’ve been here many times, however today, celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary, the service was horribly slow. I ordered a cup of gumbo and a cup of red beans and rice, the gumbo arrived with the rest of the table but no red beans and rice. We asked about the rb&r and were told they were on the way, more than 30 mins later the rb&r finally arrived. After packing the rb&r to go, we then ordered dessert which resulted in another long wait. The server’s aunt and uncle were seated near us, we noticed they promptly received their lunch and their dessert arrived before they had even finished the entrée. When the check arrived we had to request the late served rb&r be removed, server attentiveness was a huge problem today. We have loved Adele’s in the past and are very disappointed to have had such an unpleasant experience. The food draws us back to Adele’s. We returned yesterday at our daughter’s request since she is home from college for Thanksgiving. The experience warrants 3 stars, food was wonderful but again service for the price is lacking. We had 3 different servers but none took the lead, we had to ask for drink refills and my son had to go to the kitchen window to ask for a bread refill. Three of four meals were prompt, our daughter asked for a poboy with blackened shrimp which came out with fried shrimp. The gumbo was amazing, loved that the kitchen split into 2 bowls as we ever sharing. The bread is soft and crusty, perfect for sandwiches and gumbo, sweet potato tots were unique and tasty. We love the food at Adele’s but the lack of attentive service for the price of the meal our last 2 visits has dampened our enthusiasm to return.

Where to start… Well we accidentally came in through the back and this rude waitress did not greet us or even offer to tell us where to go. Her customer service got worse and worse. We were seated with a different server who was very polite but completely unattentive. The food was mediocre at best. I had the crawfish biscuits and gravy. I made a pasta that taste just like it. Not impressed. I wish we chose to eat somewhere because it wasnt even filling.

This is my third review of Adeles, first 2 were when they were at the old location. I must say I LOVE the new location. There is ample free parking but still close to the appeal, weekend nightlife, and shopping of Old Roswell… nice outdoor dining area, and inside is warm and inviting with lovely artwork reminiscent of New Orleans on the walls. We visited with a group of 5 on a quiet Monday night. Service was super-attentive and friendly(Jessica?). Food was good, but as a N.O. native I have pretty rigid standards for étouffée, gumbo, etc. The fried foods were excellent, 5 stars, but I still think the jambalaya, étouffée, and gumbo suffer from significant spice imbalances; Most too peppery, and a over-abundance of a still unidentified spice that overpowers the seafood and all other other ingredients. Beignets were excellent, and enjoyed by all. I will be definitely be visiting again. I suspect the chef really likes whatever that mystery spice is, and so do a lot of other patrons, so I don’t expect a change here, but at this point I know what to order, and a taste of home(a’la Patton’s hot sausage) is always welcome.

So this is the new location for Adele’s, in historic Roswell. The space is smaller than the old space over off HWY92 and Old Roswell Road. And the old space wasn’t so big either. But the size doesn’t detract from the charm. Adele’s still does what it does from its small but concise Cajun menu. We typically go here when we have a hankerin for a Po Boy and even though they are a bit on the small side they are filled with your protein of choice(mine is half and half, shrimp and oysters) and tend to be pretty delicious. Some may think Adele’s is a bit on the expensive side and that may be true, but I highly recommend them for your quick Cajun fix.

This place is AMAZING! I was nearly heartbroken when they moved to this location because, it had been awhile since I was in Atlanta and I thought they had closed. Lucky, a nice lady outside their old location told me where they moved to. The food is everything I could dream of. I have tried the creole, gumbo and po’boys and they are all amazing. Service has always been fantastic. The only issue I ever have when I go here is deciding what delicious food I want, its so hard to choose just one. I strongly recommend checking this place out.
