Drove 5 hours from humboldt to get a quick meal to take on the road so my friends and I could catch my flight…
Well that quick meal ended up being a 45 min wait because the employees forgot an order and not to mention messed up 2 of our orders before that. My friend end up getting a refund because they gave him a totally different order and said his original order would take too long to make.
This Popeyes literally was empty, with 10 employees standing around doing nothing behind the counter, how is this considered a fast food joint when you can’t even make orders? It wasn’t even slightly busy. We were the only group of people there (4 people btw).
In conclusion to this wasted time, I wasn’t able to catch my flight to sfo thanks to the 45 min wait at this so called fast food restaurant.

Been here twice, same week late in the afternoon and no chicken legs. Inefficient crew and below than average fasts food customer service.

Food was actually pretty fire, better than KFC. But the customer service wasn’t very fire. Also the portion sizes aren’t very good. Prices too high for what you get. Not very swag. Could be more swag. Swag level 2 out of 5, hence the 2 stars. Shoutout to BW$ fam

Really good food very shitty service i ordered a 12 piece. Just chicken and they charged me for a full meal and spacifically asked for thighs and legs and i got breasts wings and thighs. And they forgot my sweet tea and to top it off he droped my change on the drive through floor theres a bunch of kids working there and are very rude. I will not be comming back there anytime soon. Very disapointed with the service and messing up my order!

I love Popeyes but this place is constantly changing workers. Today I went in around 7:20pm one person in front of me, all new faces behind the counter. Let me first say that in no way do i blame the staff working tonight and I fill bad for them because of there crappie manager. We waited over 20 minutes for food that was already cooked. The boys had no clue on what they were doing. The manager came up to the front 3 times never offered them advice said nothing and went to the back. These poor kid had never been train properly but to be honest I’m not sure that manager new what he was doing because he wasn’t doing his job. Fire the Manager older guy in the back with the blue button up shirt and hire someone that knows how to run a fast food chain. The guys in the front just need a good leader and they will be fine.

After all these years in the same location this place still sucks. Tried to order the bonafide meal at their drive thru, they were out of most of their side items, example Corn, Mac & Cheese on a Friday at 5:00pm. If you enjoy dealing with incompetent management and searching the items you ordered like a customs agent at a Airport, by all means enjoy yourself, give away those 5 stars for a poorly run business, I’ll stay away from this Popeyes.

I love the chicken here! Why all the hate? The people are nice and my order has never been wrong. My only complaint — turn down the music!

I’m looking down at my receipt and it says at the end «thank you hope to see you again» and to that. I’m not coming back due to VERY POOR customer service. So congrats to «Carol» when I happened to walk in she said to another employee «I’ve been here for a year». Chewing possibly food off from where they keep the food and only gave me TWO hot sauces. To think of it lady I’m NOT eating a FAMILY MEAL to myself.
Obviously from other Pop eyes I’ve been to. this one puts others to SHAME.
Like in customer service you NEED «advocates» to BUILD the companies money and growth in Rohnert Park.

Every time I go to this Popeyes they somehow manage to mess something up! EVERY SINGLE TIME! Today I ask for a side of gravy, not only was I charged $ 3.99 for a SIDE OF GRAVY, they didn’t even put it in my bag. Now I know I should have done a better check through (since they always mess up) but I was in a hurry, he se the reason I was getting fast food. They need better management, better employees, better service all around. So disappointed, every time. I don’t know why I expect more.

Absolutely Love their Fried Chicken — better than anything in the same price range and mostly better than the High End Restaurants selling Fried Chicken for $ 20 bucks a plate (Rosso’s, Sweet T’s etc.).
It’s crunchy and moist — not overcooked and never undercooked. We consider this a treat at my house and we eat the best food most days of the week (clean organic proteins and vegetables — no fast food).
And as far as the staff — they’re great to me when I roll up. I talk to them for a second if they’re not running around and usually have a good conversation, then get some extra sauces for the mini fried shrimp that my roommate loves.
My buddy is from Louisiana and a great cook, makes the best fried chicken, this is easily the best runner up. I don’t see what all of the problems are about but I’ve never ‘dined’ inside. It’s Fried Chicken people — you buy it and leave. I don’t get spicy and I don’t depend on the sides of a fast food place being representative of something I would make at home. Compared to KFC this is Premium Goodness.

So sad to see all the negative reviews here, as today, I have experienced the exact opposite.
I haven’t been to Popeye’s in about 8 years, but had a hankering for red beans & rice on a cold, stormy day. After checking the Unilocal reviews, I was starting to feel terrified about what service I’d receive and was worried about the food quality.
I was pleased to see the vast amount of dipping sauces offered. I decided to order a side of red beans & rice, and a biscuit. Now, it’s no secret that I love dipping sauces of any sort, and once I reached the drive-​thru window, the staff member was incredibly friendly– gave me two different types of dipping sauces. I’ll use dipping sauces for just about anything.
Service was friendly and efficient. A little kindness goes a long way. Food was heavenly, and full of warm, delicious carbs.

I’m usually a huge Popeyes fan but OMG! BOO!!! Tonight was the worst service I have ever had. EVER! It started off with the drive thru guy cutting me off when I wasn’t even done with my order… I got to the window he was in such a rush he didn’t hand me my drink & when I received the large mash that was supposed to have extra gravy he handed me single scoop of mashed potatoes (in a large container) with a half ass drizzle of red beans and rice as gravy… WHAAAAT!!!
Soooo instead of just telling me they threw out all the mashed potatoes for the night they figured I wouldn’t notice until later & by that time they would be closed. NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE FOLKS!
I only awarded a single star because after knocking on the window several times & being ignored by 2 employees (full eye contact & everything) a nice lady came to the window & offered to refund me for the mash. I shouldn’t have beg people for the food I ordered and I shouldn’t have been rushed off in the hopes that I wouldn’t notice.

Been here for almost 30 minutes and still waiting for our food. We’ve seen a lot of people already coming in and out complaining about the service– they can never get it right. Drive thru customers waiting outside for 20 minutes or a drive thru customer coming back in because their food was missing! When is POPEYES going to fix this awful place. They need new management in here because the supposedly new manager is not making anything better. He loves to make excuses and never apologizes for the inconvenience. If we didn’t love Popeyes chicken we would never come here. Every single time we come here, we have to triple check our order. My husband finally got our order and as soon as we checked it– we are missing half of our order. Somethings never change.

Looks like new owners/​management. Clean store, friendly staff and decent food for a positive change. The pigeon size legs and wings are now gone, replaced by standard size chicken.

This place honestly has pretty bad chicken and seafood. Sometimes their commercials will give me the munchies late night so I decided to give them a try twice now but both times I have been disappointed…

I ordered the cruncy spicy dippers, and the were horrible! Greasy and fatty!

Awful experience. Went 15 minutes prior to close. First mistake. After ordering and pulling to the window, was told AFTER I paid that the fryer had been shut off and we couldn’t get our order of a fried shrimp meal. At this point, we should have been offered out money back and given a coupon of some sort. But no, they pieced together a «meal» which ended up hard refried shrimp and three containers of mash and gravy. No fries, no biscuit. I had to ask again for the drink. Then they quickly closed the window and offered no warning or explanation of the changes in food for the order before we drove away.
They acted like we were bothering us with our business.
Sad, I used to love Popeyes.

I noticed that the crew is not reading back what someone ordered or greeted me,
smile, looked at me or l noticed them leaning on the counter or talking

All out of; Mac and Cheese, Mashed potatoes and green beans.
I was a little surprised they still had chicken. Although they WERE down to spicy chicken only! What a joke, don’t waste your time or money
