El Torito

2^nd time I’ve been here. First time was ok. This time. For some reason my son was given burn waffles. I went to back and found perfectly cooked waffles.
This place is not all that

Sat at the bar with my beautiful wife after a great day of site seeing. After 1 drink the bartender cut us off WITH NO ONE ELSE AT THE BAR! We were being completely polite and he just cut us off even though we were not intoxicated. I have been all over the world and never have I been cut off even when I have had much more to drink. We left politely but we were appalled by this establishment and won’t return.
We walked into a competitor a 100 yards away within 5 minutes and were served immediately. Very upsetting and was a negative for an otherwise positive day.

Fantastic service tonight, which is consistent with our previous visits. Staff was friendly, attentive, engaged in casual conversation about spilt sugar and was quick with our order and bringing refills. Overall, very happy with our server Danyel as well as the head server/​manager at the restaurant tonight.

With three birthdays to celebrate and the desire to go to brunch, El Torito became our destination. We had reservations for 11:30am and were seated right away, mimosas soon to follow.
Food wise, I give three stars because everything tasted just fine. My favorite items of the day were the pozole and the carnitas on freshly made corn tortillas.
Others felt like they missed the traditional bacon and eggs. (Omelet bar was an option but lonnnng line like usual.)
Mimosas (weak but free!) were a nice beginning and the ginger cookies were a sweet end.

Worst I have ever had. Food was terrible… selections were limited.bland. unedible… I could go on but you get the point

The food was awesome as always! The service was alright, the general manager was basically our server the whole time but she was awesome! Took care of us right away and made sure we were satisfied. Our actual server was nice but didn’t really know much about the menu. It’s frustrating having a question about something and getting the answer «I’m not sure» that’s why there’s 4 stars instead of 5, other then that I would give this place 5 stars! Thanks general manager you were awesome!

My fiancé’ and I always make it a point to visit this fine restaurant once a month.
The grilled chicken avocado salad is the perfect, healthy meal to get us through the rest of the working day

So so disappointed I had not only one fly but two flys in my drink in my Drink if I could give no Stars I would I ask the waitress if she notified the manger and she said she was aware and it’s been a hour and she still hasn’t came to apologize yet I’m so pisst I haven’t spoken to her yet but I will add to this when I do… she just apologize she said that fruit flys screw that I’m so sick this is bs

Went back out of curiosity, plus the wife wanted to try a new menu item. Pleasantly suprised, service was great, food was very good. Hmm, looks like the new management got a clue. Thanks! Will be back again.

Endless chips and salsa. Can’t go wrong with that but was truly and honestly disappointed in their chicken tacos, no flavor, very bland, not your typical chicken taco. Crunchy, kinda feel like it was frozen and they just popped it into the oven or fryer and added lettuce. If anything improve your tacos. The rice was your typical mexican rice. It went well with their beans. not a fan of their corn. Next time I’ll.order something different.
Great seating, spacious, nice décor and comfortable. Great service, and the waiters were accommodating.

Normally when we come to El Torito the food is OK. Today we had to go to Costco so we thought we’d stop in and have something. We ordered a torta chicken sandwich with guacamole cheese and grilled onions. This is probably one of the best things I’ve ever had at El Torito they also make it in a burger and it comes with fries. That sandwich was so good that I will go back and order it againI never even know was on the menu so that was quite a find. My husband ordered the same thing, and I think that’s the first time we left El Torito he actually said wow my lunch was good.

This place is a great place! Servers are not overly friendly yet they have a very diverse staff. The food is exactly what it says and looks like in the menu. The drinks are far better than expected and the atmosphere is inviting!

If you’re looking for bottomless mimosas and greasy (but yummy) Mexican food to fill you up until you can’t move, this is the place to go
However, I would rather have a single entrée with one good quality mimosa at a place with a view that didn’t leave me wanting to lay in bed all day.
You get what you pay for, and we knew what we were getting ourselves into (and were starving!), but definitely a place I only need to visit once a year to remind myself of it’s lacklusterness.

Before heading back out to home, we decided to try this place out since we were pretty hangry. That was a mistake!
It literally took about ten minutes for our waiter to come by at the bar area. It wasn’t even a busy night. The salsa they serve was kinda weird, but tasted ok mixed with the hotter one we asked for. When we were ready to order, we still found ourselves having to wait for our waiter for a while longer. When we got our food, we didn’t have any napkins or silverware. We had to ask for them both! The guy was unprepared and overall just not great.
Overall, the food I give two stars. Slow and inattentive service –3.

Went for lunch on a Sunday as I was hungry and craving fajitas and a margarita. The Cadillac Margarita did not disappoint. Very refreshing and perfectly made cocktail. I had the steak fajitas, which were served on a sizzling platter and perfectly seasoned. The pinto beans side was flavorful, but resembled a bean soup. They even provide a spoon to eat them with. The rice was dry and flavorless. Overall a decent meal with decent service. The major drawback that cost stars for this review is that the carpets are totally filthy and gross. Food littered the carpets and the entire carpet throughout the restaurant was badly stained. In addition we went through several sets of utensils trying to find clean ones with which to eat. Very unappetizing! Would be reluctant to return due to the cleanliness issues.

I only frequent this establishment for their Bottomless Mimosas Sunday Brunch.
Its decent. I usually just fill up on mimosas and their Chicken Pozole Verde.

I usually am not a fan of chain restaurants but decided to give it a try since it had been several years.
The waitress was nice enough but she spilled a full glass of iced town my shirt and in my lap. She moved me to a different table, gave me new drinks and said sorry. I ended up sitting through dinner freezing cold since my jeans were soaking wet.
Dinner way ok… Got the bill — $ 16! And charged for the iced tea. I understand accidents happen but typical you take the drink off the bill or make an adjustment on the order not just sorry, my bad.
My dry cleaning bill for the shirt is more than the bill. I’ll pass on visiting again — my mediocre meal came to $ 30+ dollars and a trip to the dry cleaner!

Delicious! The menu is anyways changing which is great because my tastebuds are never bored.
From happy hour to dessert, it all ends in yum!

This of course is a chain restaurant so you can only expect so much. However…
About three years ago I was served a taco with mold inside and hadn’t returned again since this weekend. Yesterday I ordered chicken tacos and the chicken was obviously very old and reheated. Chewy with a fish taste.
Ages ago I worked in the restaurant industry and I’m familiar with shortcuts that lazy kitchens make such as premaking meals and shoving it in the freezer or refridgerator to serve at a later date. This is how I suspect I received a taco with mold and how I received chicken tacos with very very old chicken.
I don’t expect things to truly be fresh but this particular location of El Torito has no respect for food nor their customers or the food preparation would be much better.

We have been here a few times with my wife for Sunday morning brunch and a few times for dinner. We really enjoy the brunch because they do have a pretty good selection of typical mexican dishes like chile verde, huevos rancheros, refried beans, spanish rice, chile poblano with beef and my favorite fresh hand made tortillas! Yummy! They also have other non typical mexican dishes such as sausages, omelet bar dessert bar and fruit salad bar which really pretty fresh. Besides just water you also have the choice of trying your typical mexican drinks like horchata, agua de jamaica and agua de tamarindo. If that doesn’t make you happy then have a mimosa or other adult beverage from the bar lol!
We arrive right around 10 am right when they open so it’s not terribly busy and the food is fresh. The servers are pretty friendly and they are pretty good about coming around enough times to refill your drink if you want. The only down side and thing that we didn’t like is that the fire place was dusty, the mirror looked like it hadn’t been wiped down in years! There were dusty cob webs up high. You can tell it need s deep cleaning especially if it a restaurant. If they clean that up and dust the place down I would give it a 4 star rating. Hopefully they see my review and clean the place up… besides house dust is comprised of mostly… dead human skin which is kind of gross!!!
3 stars for now… stay tuned for an update… I hope!

Fuy a comer con mi familia y de comienso al recibirnos no tienen ninguna idea de como recibir a los clientes pienso que lo unico que tiene de vueno este restauran es el lugar el menu todo esta a muy alto presio los chips que me llebaron estaban cosinados con aceite viejo los remplasaron con otros que estaban igual opserbe que las meceras olvidador dar popotes con las bebidas y no solo mi mesa a todo el publico la comida tiene savor pero al precio pienso que es demaciado prefiero comer en un establecimiento de comida rapida que regresar al torito sali con el estomago revuelto a causa de los chips es el restauran mas corriente que e vicitado no recomiendo nada de este lugar tambien cuando pague mi ticket me pregunto la mecera que si necesitaba cambio claro que si con el servicio que me dieron no tenia porque dejar un solo centavo lo siento pero sali muy decepsionado a la presentacion que tiene el restauran pence que asi estaria todo no merecen ninguna estrella por favor necesitan un encargado que tenga idea como entrenar a su personal y un chef que tenga potencial para hacer sus recetas y menu bien echo y tenga control de sus cosineros
