Leonardo’s Bridal and Formal Boutique

The review on 10/​28/​2015 is not hard to believe. My experience with this shop was not good. My daughter’s wedding was November 14,2015. On November 12^th she was picking up her dress after final alteration. This is because she order some additional fabric to make some tiny straps/​sleeves for the ceremony and it did not come in until a few days before the wedding. It was ordered in June. The process began in February! It does not take much to stay on top of this… emails were not answered, phone calls not returned. It was a very stressful week leading up to the wedding mainly because her dress was not ready. Leonardo’s has beautiful dresses and knows how to ring up sales but they do not know much about handling things if there is a slight problem. They said it was because of the designer and problems they were having. Please, it does not take 4 months to send a small piece of fabric. Even if this was true they could have been professional about it and offered suggestions and returned calls weeks before to let us know it was being handled. They only had excuses and seemed so pleased when it finally arrived a few days before the wedding and left a message that they hoped everything will be beautiful. The seamstress was amazing and went to get it at the shop and worked on it 2 days before the wedding. With all that’s going on leading up to the big day this was not something I ever thought we would be worrying about. When you buy a dress in February, 10 months before the wedding you never imagine being in a last minute scramble.
If you don’t want to chance last minute stress try another place.

What an unbelievably horrible experience. We decided to order the bridesmaid dresses (6 of them) at Leonardo’s because they had the dress we wanted. We ordered 6 — however, 2 bridesmaids were lucky enough to get measured out of town by a professional and send their measurements so their dresses fit fine. They were the lucky ones. My two daughters both were measured at Leonardo’s incorrectly to the tune of at least 2 sizes — at an additional cost of $ 170 each to have them altered. The measured sizes were not even close — and Leonardo’s picked which size to order! We couldn’t even zip them up. The dresses were already expensive so obviously this was a problem. When I called (watch out — they have limited hours so you always have to leave a message) and got no reply, I emailed the owner on July 17 to see if she would help with the alterations since it was their error. I got one email from her on ⁷⁄₂₃ saying she was out of town through Aug 29 (wedding season???) but «hope that we can arrive at an amicable solution». She didn’t respond to my next 2 follow-​up emails on ⁹⁄₄ and again in late September. — I was quite surprised she chose not to respond to either-​I would have to disagree with her choice as to exactly how we were to come to «an amicable solution».
These dresses are expensive. There are plenty of reputable bridal shops (with better business hours) that stand by their work. It would be in your best interest to go to a shop where the measuring is done by a professional (I thought all shops did) – it makes a difference and will save you much stress during what is already a stressful time (dresses took 4 months to come in; we had 2 weeks to get them altered). You won’t save any money going here — but could quite easily pay double after alterations. I got my dress (MOB) at David’s Bridal and they were fantastic — professional and accurate — All I needed to do was get it hemmed. They had a professional seamstress measure me and she was spot on.
This is a stressful time — do yourself a favor and go anywhere else — it will be well worth it. Measuring is critical and should be done with great care and expertise — not while the girls are completely dressed and walking out the door. Thankful the bride did not purchase her dress here!

Absolutely love Leo’s! Kate and Libby are so sweet and friendly and helpful! They have limited options for bridal gowns, but I truly loved everything I tried on. They have great sense of what modern young brides are looking for. The dress I chose was discontinued but they were able to discount the sample dress (which was in great condition). The store itself is quaint, welcoming, and modern. So happy I went with Leo’s!

I just had a FABULOUS lunch at Michael’s. The homemade soup was simply superb. My salmon BLT was perfectly cooked and the presentation was beautiful. The buttered roll was lightly toasted served with a ripe tomatoes and crisp lettuce. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere comfortable and clean. I have rarely had a better lunch… The price was more than reasonable. I have often paid twice my tab in other restaurants for much less quality!

I went with a friend who was trying on wedding gowns.
We had an appointment (we’d actually just called on our drive over and that was fine) and the attendant was not only sweet but helpful and encouraging.
There wasn’t a huge selection, but all the dresses covered all the «dresses bases» and were unique yet well priced.

I had an appointment at Leonardo’s to try on wedding gowns. My consultant was Angie, and she was sweet and knowledgeable about the styles of gowns. I’m an indecisive bride, but once I found a style that worked for me, she was able to guide me in the right direction.
The *only* downside was that she was the only employee in the store, and the phone seemed to be ringing off the hook. She was apologetic about it, but she did go and take the phone calls. It didn’t bother me one bit (but my mother noted it).
It was a plus that we were allowed to take photos of the gowns, which seems to be frowned upon in other stores.
I found 2 dresses that I absolutely loved, but ended up purchasing «the dress» elsewhere. However, I would recommend this boutique to any bride looking for a gown. Their selection isn’t huge, but the quality of their gowns is wonderful. As far as prices, the gowns I liked were $ 1800 and $ 2999, respectively — I forgot to inquire if alterations were included with the price.
Anyway, Leonardo’s is great — go there if you are a bride-​to-​be! They also have bridesmaids dresses :)

Smaller boutique store. There is a variety of styles, but all are high-​quality. Most dresses start in the $ 1000+ range, but they have awesome deals on sample gowns for sale that range $ 400-​$ 1000ish.
