Rocky Hill, CT subway — it’s a nice shop. Subs are fresh, people friendly, clean establishment.

I don’t want to be too analytical since its Subway, but the idea of the Spicy Nacho Steak sub sounded novel; in my head. Reality set in on the first bite however as I experienced the overwhelming taste of low grade«beef», stale tasting Italian bread, and meager portions of dull tasting jalapeño and green pepper. I thought the Doritos perhaps would set the sandwich off, especially because of the texture aspect. But the fact that the Doritos were stuffed in between moist meat and vegetables then shoved in a oven, the chips came out soggy at best and hardly enjoyable. This sandwich fails miserably on all accounts. As for the other menu items, you can’t make a good sandwich predicated on sparse pinches of brown lettuce and three thin slices of cold cut. It all hinges on quality product and thoughtfulness of construction, and this Subway does nothing to warrant a repeat visit.

Flat soda, lettuce had brown spots and tomatoes super slimy, not really fresh at all unfortunately.

Was attending an all day training session nearby. Went there for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast, I noticed the place was immaculate including the bathrooms. Beautiful fall display outside. Returned for lunch with another person. Place was busy but they had five people behind the counter running an assembly line. I got my sandwich in record time. Owner/manager is right there supervising everything. It was pouring outside. Upon leaving, the manager was standing outside with an umbrella and he offered to walk us to our car. How many business owners/managers would offer to do this. I’m totally impressed with the whole operation.

This subway has moved to 781-A Cromwell Avenue(In the Dunkin Donuts). Don’t go here, unless you want to be disappointed. I have had several experiences where the vegetables were not fresh(brown lettuce, etc). In addition to that, I’ve gone on repeated occasions where they were completely out of bread.(White Bread, Wheat Bread, Honey Oat). Several times in the past month or so they have been out of White Bread near noon. I went last night around 6PM and they were out of Wheat and Honey Oat. I emailed Subway to ask them how they could be a sub shop and repeatedly not have enough bread(not specialty bread, mind you) throughout the day. I can understand here and there running out, but how can you run out of white bread on multiple occasions around dinner time? Subway apparently sent my message to the local manager, Stephanie Buchas, and it’s obvious by her response exactly why they run out of bread. No business being a manger. Look at the last line, she literally tells me to go somewhere else. How’s that for Subway Customer Service? Unable to please me? Why? Because I don’t like it when your vegetables are two days old and you don’t have bread(on several occasions) and I say something about it? HELLO!?! She clearly does not make the right decisions by 11am each day(Out too late drinking perhaps?). **EDIT: I just saw a Unilocal Review from someone else in the last month or so from this location and they said the same sort of thing about the manager. Very, very rude person this Stephanie B is. Anywho… Hello Mr. ~~~~~~~, My name is Stephanie and I manage the store you recently visited in Rocky Hill. I received your complaint from Subway headquarters and I want to apologize for the lack of variety in the bread at last nights visit. As you may know, at Subway we bake our bread fresh multiple times throughout the day to ensure that our guests receive the freshest bread. It is a 3 hour process from start to finish to have the bread rise to the correct size, bake, and cool down before serving. We have to make a decision by 11am each day as to how much of each type of bread we will need for the remainder of the day and it is a very difficult task. Clearly, we have failed you in recent visits and are unable to please you. There are plenty of Subways in the surrounding towns, please visit them. Thank you, Stephanie

Their bread is not fresh beware if you go in anytime before 10:30AM they are serving you bread from the past day I was told that it was cooked one hour before they close the night before how could that be true why would you cook so much bread one hour before you close beware beware! Also an attitude of the manager when I asked about the bread was far past managerial representative satisfaction customer’s service quality.

Love coming to this subway for my lunch breaks! I’m that pain in the ass customer that asks the employees to change their gloves when they make my sandwich since they touch pork. A huge line in front of me and huge line behind me no matter how busy or slow they are they always give me the best service! Great place to come and have lunch in!

First of all stopped in on 9÷30÷2013 about 4:30 pm. Was greeted by a young man. Was so in pressed how clean and stocked and fresh this location is. That is very rare and is A plus. Order the Subway Club footlong on wheat with provolone cheese I was asked for toasted I did say yes please but the gentleman behind the counter was not sure he heard me so it was not toasted. It was a warm nice day so I did not correct him. I prefer toasted with cheese. It tends to hold food items in place. The gentleman made a good sandwich and it was made professionally it held up until I enrolled wraper because in the past food parts would fallout so this was a treat. Enjoyed it very much.

On the road, and needed fuel. For my body. It tasted like Subway alright, although the soda was pretty flat.

This place is ‘fair’ not a bad last minute option for lunch. There seems to be a revolving door of people in this place. I am guessing some sort of high school co-op program or maybe a prison release program. There are some very slow people at this location that don’t seem to grasp even the simplest requests. A couple times a week they get really busy and someone in this location will yell ‘the line moves fast’. I really wish they could just shut up and make sandwiches. NO one at this location understands the request of ‘little’ and several times i have witnessed the ‘sauces’ girl yell at someone that she is ‘taking it off’
