After taking care of some business with my mom in Auburn, MA, we stopped at this Dunkin Donuts in Rocky Hill, CT, as it was conveniently located off of I-91 southbound as we were heading back to our home in Nassau County, NY and needed a place to get a drink and use the restroom. Upon entry to this Dunkin Donuts, which looks like a small house from the outside, we found the inside to be clean and cozy. After waiting in line a little bit as there were a couple of customers in front of us, we were assisted by Cynthia, a very friendly and efficient crew member. I decided to order a medium Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate, as I was in the mood for a hot chocolate as opposed to a coffee and I have always liked the hot chocolate served at Dunkin Donuts. While we were waiting, we used the restrooms, which we found to be very clean and well stocked, especially considering that this store gets a lot of foot traffic. Right after we used the restrooms, my hot chocolate was ready and when I got to the car, I had the chance to sample. As always, I thought that the Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate was delicious, as it was smooth, creamy, and had a bold and sweet flavor of chocolate along with a hint of caramel. While I do not think I will be stopping at this Dunkin Donuts anytime soon as I will not be in the area in the near future, this is definitely a fine Dunkin Donuts and I would stop in again if I were in the area.

Fantastic quality. My bagel was toasted perfectly. Perfect amount of cream cheese. Not too grossly thick. Not thin and skimpy. Just perfection. Quick and easy service. No issues whatsoever. Very fresh. I did not expect this quality from a Dunkin right off of the highway, but I was proved wrong. 10⁄10. I expect the same quality at every Dunkin, which is why I choose it as my designated breakfast provider. When their products taste differently at other locations I feel upset. But this location in the middle of no where was even better than my local one in Manhattan.

Mediocre dunkin donuts that rarely gets my order right. They have everything that every other store has, except probably a longer drive thru line in the morning.

I sometimes stop by here before work to grab a few bacon, egg & cheese wraps or a hot tea. The drive thru has pretty quick service and the cashier’s are always friendly. I tend to not purchase coffee at any of the Dunking Donuts locations since it always seems burnt in flavor and then upsets my stomach. But, not bad for a quick bite to eat.

The name of the restaurant is Dunkin’ Donuts… we stopped by today to buy a dozen donuts and were informed that they HADNODONUTS! I mean the name is DUNKIN’ DONUTS… and they HADNODONUTS! Rather disappointing.

Stopped here unexpectedly to give a break to a car-sick-feeling 6-year-old on a road trip. The 6-year-old sickling and his 2-year-old brother marched in to find the staff up on ladders hanging Christmasy stuff. The older boy had spent the last hour or so of our road trip confusing Connecticut and Canada. He declared loudly for all to hear: «I love Dunkin’ Donuts! I’ve never been to a Dunkin’ Donuts in Canada!» I ordered a bagel and cream cheese, which the staff had to lightly dance around ladders to accommodate. But they did it quickly and with friendly courtesy. I brought the bagel back to the kids and was confused to see a man approaching the table with two small bags. He held the bags up, looked at me with questioning eyebrows, and glanced at the kids. I assumed it was somebody else’s order being misdelivered to our table, but when I asked what it was, he just said, «donuts.» I thanked him, told the boys of his kindness, and explained that we’d save them for later. They shared them as dessert after we had reached our destination. The staff continued hanging Christmasy stuff and a customer, a man I had noticed writing copious notes onto paper cards, stood up to offer his advice. «Hang it a little imperfectly. It’s always better if it’s a little imperfect.» He waited for the man on the ladder to string the corporate festivity a little to the left and a little to the right, before declaring, clearly sharing in the pride that exudes from many aspects of this Dunkin’ Donuts: «That’s it. Perfect.»

It seems kinda pointless to review a D and D, until I went to this one. They are insanely fast, and very accurate. Having been to other D and D’s where ordering a coffee and two sandwiches can take upwards of 5 minutes, this one has everything ready in less than 2 on a regular basis. They are also very pleasant.

I come here for the morning coffee and to restock on bags of whole beans to brew at home. The only real concern is the layout of the parking lot. It’s a struggle to park next to the establishment without having to dodge those trying to get to the drive-thru. Best advice is to park in the lot directly across the way, in the plaza itself, should you decide to go inside.
