This is the dive bar to end all dive bars. I love this place. They are open ungodly late and unfashionably early, I mean I’ve never walked past this place and it was closed. The frozens are some of the best on the beach and something you would never suspect from the little hole in the wall. I used to drink my Bud lights avec lime if bud light lime was unavailable. The bartender called me some names for needing a citrusy treat in my mother’s milk but obliged me with a lime every time. By the end of the first time I went in there(been there a hundred more since) the same bartender was banging back blackberry brandy shots with me. I would have happy memories of this place if I didn’t black out every time I walked through the door. They have darts and a jukebox, but don’t let me play with the darts. Or the jukebox, unless you like TOTO on repeat.

The last time I was here there were prostitutes(the crack head kind) trolling for Johns… the locals that occupy the place were low class. Not a nice place whatsoever.

An old favorite of mine when I used to live in Rockaway. I will check it out if I am down for a weekend stay and still enjoy the company and the atmosphere of a typical Irish pub on the Rockaways. It has my favorites like Guinness, Woodpecker Cider and Sam Adams Summer Ale. Sports playing all the time and a decent, not great, jukebox. Close to the beach and accessible to all that Rockaway has to offer.
