This place is deplorable. If the health department could shut a place down for unsanitary patrons, this place would have been condemned. You can smell the filthy bar taps as soon as you walk in, and it almost feels as though you are transported to a watering hole in the backwoods of Alabama or some other redneck place. The bathrooms are clean, but the bathrooms are also crammed with degenerates doing blow. This place should be called the CRACKWATER!

I’ve been here twice. Once on an afternoon when it was completely empty, another time as a wall-to-wall shitshow on the night before Labor Day(AKA Hat Night). I’d like to come back at an in-between time for proper evaluation.

I have been frequenting this watering hole for 10+ years now and its always great. They have a great jukebox, with hundreds of different songs to choose from. They stay open most nights until 4am(a little later sometimes on the weekend). The owners are great people who are often there to not only watch over the bar, but to hang out with friends. Definitely check it out when you are in the Rockaway Beach area. It is right up the block from the 113 street beach and 3 blocks away from restaurants, banks, cab services and the A train.
