Feeding two people gourmet style doesn’t have to break the wallet. Tomorrow’s lunch is baked portabella stuffed mushrooms with steamed mixed baby potatoes prepared(baked potato style). Edamame beans for apps cuz the college kids yubbit !! Mind you also a *** 2lb *** mesh bag of onions is 99¢. They sell garlic cloves as well or pre-peeled garlic. Every spice you need for everyday cooking is at this store. Zucchini, squash, romaine lettuce heads, shredded carrots, mushrooms, even dressing can last a week under $ 10. I suggest stop buying your salad from the café at your work cuz they probably charge you by weight and it’s dinky — you know you’re still hungry… And there goes your«stomach still growling $ 5 salad». Wake up 10 minutes earlier and fix your lunch bag cuz it’s worth $ 10. Only 4 stars though as they don’t always have what I’m looking for. However I appreciate that they are there. Thank you also to the cashier ladies for their patience and hard work. Remember CA law requires you get a break after 4 hours! :-)

New 99 cent only store that opened recently near my house. I like the selection, was able to get alot of decorations for my son’s birthday party. The customer service wise, horrible. And they call themselves ”your friendly 99cent only store”. GIVEME A BREAK! the cashier didn’t greet, say ”thank you”, nor a bit of smile! Instead, she frowned all through the transaction and even sighed. HELLO? U WORKWITHPEOPLE! LEARNTOSMILE! I’m definitely going to other branch instead.

Yay! Another 99¢ Only Store & this one is in MY neighborhood! I stumbled upon this store thinking they were not open yet due to the fact that the banners high above the building say«Coming Soon» plus I had not received any ads touting their newest store at the corner of La Sierra & Magnolia Ave, behind Carrows Restaurant. Well they ARE open & when I inquired as to when they opened, the clerk replied«yesterday!» No big hoopla advertisements or «Grand Opening Deals» for this location. Quiet as a mouse. Must be a secret lol Well it won’t last long because good news travels fast! It was pretty cool shopping there on only the 2nd day they were open: so clean & organized. Lol. Unfortunately, I did not have time to explore the entire store, only the produce department. I’m giving them 4⁄5 stars due to my tomatoes not being as fresh as I thought they should be(on the 2nd day of being open for business). 4 of the 6 tomatoes were already going bad, 1 of which I had to toss. I couldn’t tell by looking at them until I got home & took them out of the box. :-(On a positive note, I hope MY new 99¢ store will carry things that I like: name brand bread, wine/alcohol & lovely flowers/plants! We shall see…
