We had a gift card for Baby J’s and thought it’d be worth a try. I got the pulled pork sandwich with salad and fries, and my husband got the Mississippi pulled pork sandwich with fries and New Orleans rice. Our food was ready quick and was delicious! It is the most tender pork I’ve ever had, and the buns were homemade. My husband loved the Cole slaw on his sandwich and loved that his sandwich didn’t need any extra sauce. The sauces were a little runny, but the flavor was incredible. By far the best BBQ I’ve had in the tri-cities. We will definitely be coming back for more!

The food is amazing! Had pulled pork with coleslaw on top. Just took a little longer than I would like, but it was lunch hour rush.

Tried for the first time on a Wednesday afternoon. Took just over 20 minutes to get our food and there were only a few customers in the place. By the time we were reasonably frustrated with the wait, the food arrived… and it was good. I had the pulled pork plate with New Orleans rice and fries. My wife had BBQ chicken with coleslaw and sweet potatoes. And it was all very good. The food gets a 4+…the slow service gets a 2-…we average out at 3. If you’re not in a hurry and are not on the edge of starvation — worth a visit.

Food was good; but not«let’s wait an hour at lunch time to get the food» good. We ordered, and they never bothered to mention«hey, we are low staffed and are only serving a meal about every 10 minutes.» 50 minutes after we ordered, the food arrived. And it was good; but I’m never going back for lunch. I might not get served until dinner.

Have been 3 or 4 times now. First time I went I thought hmmm it was pretty ok. I stopped by again when I was in the area, the first visit must have been on an off day. It was amazing. Easily best BBQ in town and I have tried them all. I give this place five stars for the food! The service is slow. But the food is so damn good! There was a guy in there once who worked there I think? He was a little preachy and odd. But the food is so damn good The building is older and in an hard part of Richland to make work except for the Hanford workers. But the food is just to damn good. Basically the chef is awesome the normal servers are awesome and the food is amazing. I can over look the other stuff. I have had the ribs the cowboy burger and my favorite. The pulled pork plate with sweet potatoes and baked beans. Mmmmm my mouth is watering thinking about it.

Best pulled pork sandwich in town. Meat is tasty, tender and just the right amount of sauce… yum! Second time I’ve been here and the pulled pork sandwich was delicious. The kale side is great, better then the average sides at other new places. Service is a bit slow, but very nice staff. Haven’t tried the buffet, I know I’ll be back again.

Food is OK. Ribs seem boiled. Sides — average. Service — extremely slow, even though there were few customers there or few phoned-in take outs. Not worth it.

Baby J’s has some delicious food. Haven’t had anything here I didn’t like. It can be really busy around lunch time with the buffet and people coming from Hanford. If you’re looking to get something quick it may be a good idea to call ahead and order. Great food though definitely worth checking out! Maybe I’ll see ya there!

The atmosphere is very welcoming; when you walk into this place they treat you like family, and not to mention the food is delicious. I had their Cowboy burger with hand-cut french fries and it was phenomenal. Very highly recommended.

Based on previous reviews I decided to try this place for lunch today. They opened at 10 am, but when I arrived at 11:45 am the buffet line was not set up, and it took a LONG time to get my pulled pork sandwich and fries — probably more than 15 minutes after ordering; there were only two other customers in the place when I ordered. The pulled pork was delicious, the fries pretty good but although fresh cut were a little soggy. The cole slaw dressing was soupy, and there was too much and too large slices of red cabbage. I’d like to try the BBQ ribs, so I might go back.

I like to be positive, so let’s start with a compliment. I have eaten at this place twice– ordered burgers both times. They are very tasty, lots of meat and condiments, and must be fairly lean as they aren’t the perverbial«oozers». Tried a side of fries. You will have to like a homemade, deep fried, thick cut fry with skin on to go for this one. Many fries not cooked enough, and a lot of oil absorbed into the serving. Tried a side of beans. This one was a huge disappointment. Came in around 11:30 and told to wait for the beans to warm. When I finally got them, they were cold and had zero taste. The beans must have come right out of a Van Camp tin can. Speaking of waiting, both times I was basically the only one in the shop, and both times, it took over a half hour to get the meal. By the way, the owners are nice and gave me a sample of the BBQ pork. However, if this is their signature dish, they should try doing a different menu. But I do wish them the best of luck.

This place is very average at best. Anyone that’s giving the food or atmosphere 5 stars is a down-right plant. I can see giving it a two or maybe 3 on their best day. It literally took them 45 min to have my to-go order ready. It looks like a family owned operation, which I’d love to support but it felt like it was everyone’s first day on the job. They advertise being open at 10, I arrive a little after 12 and they’re still setting up with two tables of people waiting for the buffet to be placed. Maybe this place will be better a few months from now after they work out the bugs, but I’d stay away for now. I had the pulled pork plate with greens and beans. The beans were the best part of the meal.

To be fair I tried the Buffet and this might have been the wrong choice. I liked the fried chicken the ribs flat out sucked! It looks like they ripped down Full pork ribs into lengthwise strips and they boil them and just put grill marks on them and douse them in sauce. I grabbed a section and it was tough and not very pleasing. I expected the ribs to be much better than tis since its smokey in the place they are obviously burning wood you’d think the ribs would have been smoked. Now maybe I should have gotten something other than the buffet but live and learn. The beans and potato salad were good but hey these are easy to make items. The slaw was cut too big. Get yourselves a mandolin and shred the stuff. If I get a chance to eat here again I just may try a burger buy hell, don’t waste time with the Buffett.

Guys, I’m in love. L-O-V-E. Love. My boyfriend and I headed here for lunch the other day. He got the pulled pork, I got the ribs. Prices were about what you’d expect, around $ 10. You get your choice of sides to go with it. I got the sweet potatoes which are glazed in something ridiculously sticky and sweet and delicious. I also got the kale. The kale is beyond description and simply just extraordinary. The ribs? A big pile of meat. Delicious. Maybe the bbq sauce was a little on the sweet side, but I had no real complaints. Service was friendly and lovely. Food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Lunch buffet was not so good. Ribs were tough and scarce. The flavor was missing from the potato salad and cole slaw and it was overpriced. There are a lot of people who know and love good BBQ in this area, so they better get it together or there will be another for sale sign on the building again soon.

It’s all about NANCY. When Nancy is there, you know you are in for a treat! Can’t get a better Reuben sandwich anywhere, for those Reuben connoisseurs out there. The best treat is the ability to select wilted kale with lemon as a side, instead of the typical carb-of-the-day. Delicious and healthy. Service may be slow, be prepared, but it is because the food is prepared by hand and not from a box manufactured in China.
