This was our first time to visit Dickey’s anywhere and because of Mike we will be back. We are not strangers to good smoked meats as we have eaten it all over the continental USA(48 states in two years)!!! Until today we thought we were stuck with«F.D.» We tend to avoid places that noisy! Do our own smoking and BBQ. We are a retired couple and appreciate being able to hear ourselves talk. Mike guided us through the menu. He went the extra mile making certain we would return. If he isn’t the manager he should be! I had a pork rib plate with creamy wonderful macaroni and fried okra! Oh my Gravy it was good. Came with a dinner roll too. My hubby had a 3 meat plate with their roll, jalapeño beans and coleslaw, that was wolfed down at record speed! The free ice cream at the end of the meal is a real nice touch! Because of the extra mile Mike went to, we will return soon!

Tip Pit has catered most important events in my family. Several weddings. A recent review of a new bbq place has sparked my hunger for good bbq as the Tri-cities is so lacking. From what I understand their specialty is oak-smoked tri-tip. It is beyond amazing every single time. The sides are delicious and consistant, and whatever is being used for sauce is delicious. The smoked chicken he offers is often hit or miss… sometimes being too dry. I’m not sure the oak plays with chicken well. If you’re thinking of catering an event and love the red-meat, you CANNOT go wrong with Bruce and Tip Pit catering. I need my little brother to get married soon, so I can savor the tri-tip once again!
