I came in the other day and asked a female bartender around 4:30 pm the day was Saturday for a change for the laundry nxt door and we were going to have drinks there while we wait for our laundry and the bartender was very rude and cocky, then I see there was an ATM and I asked her where it was and she says«Its for customer only» but I will be cusotmer once I get my laundry set up. My point how can this Bar have potential customers or customers with that attitude. This is a cute neighborhood bar and it needs to attract more customers. The owner of this bar needs to evaluate his bartender. Needs a friendly and helpful bartenders.

I was really looking forward to trying the burgers — as they had been written up as some of the best in Reno. Unfortunately — mine came out close to raw. Yes, should have sent it back — and regret not doing so. The amount of fat that dripped out was not luscious — but icky. Won’t return. The side dish was not memorable.

Tried the taco’s today, definitely good tasting taco’s. I tried 3 meats, ground beef, chicken, and pulled pork. My problem is the taco’s are $ 2 each on special(must buy $ 4) and they are closer to baby taco’s. They are very small. I ate 4, and I could eat at least 10 more. 4 taco’s costs $ 8, plus tax and tip, out the door I am over $ 10 and I am still hungry. They should offer 10 taco’s for $ 12 and I might come back. My other complaint is there was 1 salsa choice, and it wasn’t hot. I was offered Tapatio after I asked, but if you do taco’s there should be 1 mild and 1 hot/spicy offered. Also the place isn’t high dining or anything, it actually has a slight sketchy vibe, so I am confused by why the food prices would be so out of balance. Also they should offer a side(FF, salad, etc.) or something for a discount with these taco’s, which would help w/the value. Also, I relayed my concerns to the bartender/server. For the time being my days at Knuckleheads are hold since we can’t get along on food and price.

I have been here twice now to watch my boyfriend play in his pool league. The place is pretty smoky and that it why I didn’t give it five stars. I guess they must have repealed the smoking in an eating establishment law. The food here is pretty good too. We have tried the hamburgers, the chicken lettuce wraps and the nachos. The burger was really good and juicy. The chicken lettuce wraps were weird to me but my friend loved them and thought they were awesome. They are wrapped like a burrito and are pretty spicy. I guess I am lame and lean more towards the chicken lettuce wraps like PF Changs or BJ’s. The nachos were really good too and piled high. My favorite part about this place is the service. The blond bartender(can’t think of her name) is so awesome. She is super friendly and actually came over and introduced herself to me the first night I came in here. The next time I came in was about 2 – 3 weeks later and she remembered my name. That was pretty impressive. Anyhow, she is great and the cooks are really friendly and accommodating as well. Check it out.

This place sucks they charge you $ 11 for nachos when the menu says $ 9.25 $ 7 for a bottle of rolling rock they wouldn’t honor the free draft drink card I got from the owner, don’t not ever come here especially after the rebrand. The owner needs a dose of reality and revamp his employees training service was horrible and food came out cold after 45 mins when we ordered

They say they have the best burgers in Reno. I think they are up there in the top five. We decided to give them a try for lunch. I think this place really qualifies as a dive bar. It is not your hipster cool urban grunge type dive bar. It is your basic working class straightforward beer and sports type place — with really good hamburgers. The menu is pretty standard fare — burgers, sandwiches, pasta dishes, nachos, wings, onion rings — none of that foo foo gastro-pub fusion stuff. I really felt like I traveled back in time to the places I used to frequent during my college days in the early 70’s.This is not necessarily a bad thing. We ordered drinks and burgers — the bacon cheeseburger for my husband, the Western Bacon Cheddar for me. The burgers are not cheap — $ 9.50 but they are huge and are made of real beef and grilled to perfection. I had a side of potato salad — also excellent and house made. My husband had French fries which were made of real live potatoes, fried in oil and salted. They were some of the best fries I have had in Reno. Service was OK — nothing special. A bit of a wait, but I think she was the only one working the front of the room and there were a few other people at the bar. The food was brought out directly from the kitchen — fresh and hot. I think this may become a great place to take people who want to go somewhere«where the locals go». We will definitely come back.

This got a low score because employees aren’t communicating with one another. The group I was with arranged for a party of 15 a few weeks in advance for a company party, and were told about certain drink coupons. When we showed up, the bar tender had no idea what we were talking about. She was the only one there, and was clearly annoyed having this sprung upon her. So our party started pushing tables together with her help. Later when it came to use the drink punch card thing they told us would work, the bar tender let us know it wouldn’t because that wasn’t how it worked. We were told everything would be all set and it wasn’t. The food and drinks were average price and taste. They have 2 pool tables, a shuffle board, and darts which are all fun. Get your poop in a group next time Knuckleheads! We ended up having a good time either way.

Noticed the smoky smell as soon as we walked in this restaurant. Big turn off. We were shocked!!! First restaurant we’ve been in in Nevada that allows both children and smoking since the clean indoor air act was passed over 6 years ago. Service by Jen the bartender was great. Food was brought out by someone from the kitchen. Ordered popper appetizers. Peppers were tough, but cream cheese & batter were good. Served with incredible fries & ranch dressing. Four lettuce cups were filled with spicy chicken & peanut Cole slaw and there was a tasty sauce drizzled over them. The Terri swiss mushroom chicken sandwich was on toasted, buttered bread. Could not taste any teriyaki sauce? But very good. Too bad about the smoking and the ashtrays filled with old butts. The smell of them really grossed us out, so unfortunately we will not go back.

First timer today! My buddy and I went in to check the spot out at around 2:40PM. Place wasn’t too busy so we had the bartender/GM to ourselves. Her name was Jen and she seemed really cool. Free pool, free shuffleboard, free darts and good company. If curse words offend you this is not the place for you. But if you want a beer and want a really cool place to hang out with some buddies and talk sports come into Knuckleheads! I didn’t give it 5 stars because the food was over seasoned. But I will be back to watch sports and play arcade games and free pool!

Bottom line… we are not scum, we are not low life’s, nor do we look like such. I always lay my money on the bar so you can see I am willing to pay. All I ask is for some service, not attitude cause you think your breasts are perky, or you are just to cute. I know its Reno — but last I checked tips are a big part of your income — treat me accordingly and I will return the favor… will not go back based on crappy service.

I stop by Knucklehead’s about once a year when I’m in Reno. It’s a dive bar, but I like the beer specials and I like the chicken tenders(nothing spectacular, but done the way I like them).

Why 5 stars? Great food. I like the burgers and the sandwiches. When I eat here it is always fairly inexpensive and delicious. Great service. The staff at the bar and the kitchen are friendly and seem to care about how you are enjoying it. The bar is excellent and everything is clean. Plus they have some pinball and video games. I was surprised at how much I enjoy Knuckleheads. Not super classy, but not too bad. Did I say I like the burgers and sandwiches?

Went there last night with my guy so hecould meet up with some buddies. I ordered a chicken mushroom swiss sandwich, which came with a heap of fries and was delivered out quickly. My boyfriend is a non drinker and also doesn’t drink sodas. I am pregnant and had an iced tea. While I was eating and visiting with my group, the bartendress approached us and told us that if we were not drinking, we were sitting illegally and would have to leave unless we ordered something. Needless to say, we did. Good sandwich, shitty customer service.

Ok, maybe I’m a little bias because our band played here, and any bar that’s helping local bands gets extra points. While the food menu was nothing fancy, I will give them thumbs up for serving my chicken fingers and fries HOT, yes hot out of the fryer. Even though fried food will retain pretty good heat for several minutes, mine was brought out quickly. They have a good beer selection(Icky on TAP!!) and the bartender and door girl were super congenial and hot. Hot food, Hot Help, Cold Beer, two thumbs up!

Knuckleheads have good happy hour deals, like buy a shot and get a pint of beer for free. Bar food is just that, deep fried. nothing too culinary impressive. They do seem to cater to the heavy metal loving type, which is fine with me. My mosh pits days where I lost my shoes are long behind me, so I choose not to come during weekend nights.

All I have to say about this place is that the owner is an asshole and when I was going there the one bartender was an asshole too.
