Today was the first time that I walked someplace by myself since I broke my knee! I ordered coffee, calamari, and fish and chips. As usual, more than I can eat in one sitting, but no worries, because with a little care it all reheats fairly well. Everything was cooked just right and presented nicely. The waitress filled my coffee several times for me. I am never disappointed by the food or service! If you have not tried Coach’s yet you should try them. The food is a good value for the price.

Lots of burgers, comfort food etc which is not bad but not great. Very friendly bartenders and wait staff and lots of TV’s. Good selection of beer and a fun place to watch sporting events with friends.

Pretty good food for a bar. So far my favorite is the black and blue burger. The food is always fresh, which is nice in a bar style atmosphere. Nothing like a bad burger and a good drink. You won’t have to worry about that here. Good bartenders, and servers compliment the cooks food nicely!

Disappointed in breakfast, plate was hot but food was lukewarm. Floor had not been swept and had food everywhere. Also ordered eggs over medium and received over hard and rubber. Two stars because we liked dinner.

This place was voted best sports bar in Reno, in the Reno News And Review. I dont get why. The voting must have been rigged or manipulated somehow. Nothing too bad to say about the place, but there is nothing special about it at all. If they get a little busy you will wait a while for any kind of service, and if you are not a «regular» you will, not be a priority.

3.5 starts would be more ideal, but we will give it a 3. Popped in for a quick draft beer before getting Thai food next door. The smell of cigarette smoke almost had us walk out, but we stayed. The bartender was great! They have good beers on tap. Looked over the menu for possible future visits; seems decent! We’d consider coming back for a late night meal. They are open 24 hrs! Luckily no one was smoking right next to us.

I just had a horrible experience at Coaches Bar and Grill. I would rate it as less than one star if available. Initially, the SERVICE staff seemed amenable to our business. If not bothered by the break in their drinking, We ordered a few items, including garlic fries, which I was unaware include cheese. I asked for a second order, and the SERVER April, according to our check, had a serious freak out. She informed us that we would be responsible for all that we ordered, for which we never disagreed, and changed her demeanour from there. She was rude and disagreeable. I told her thank you for the feedback about ordering garlic fries, but that I’d never be back, and she said she was glad. Me too. When we left, we left food on the table, and were told to get the f*** out. I also called to speak to the manager and was hung up on initially, then got the«manager» who essentially was just as awful. No one I know will ever go to this business, which is sad, given its location. Getting down to basics, SERVE the customer. Like I told the«manager» I hope for the best for your business, but I see much less.

I never post a review, as with the vast majority of people unfortunately, but I really can’t say enough about this place. Firstly, the food here is waaaay too good to really call this place a simple«sports bar.» I haven’t tried everything yet, but I’ve sampled about half of their menu and have always walked away impressed, especially given the low prices. The atmosphere is very real and also very positive somehow, and that’s a HUGE credit to the owner, who obviously loves what he does to be so good at it. If you’re looking to unwind and enjoy some awesome food with good people, and unless you’re just totally dead-set on eating foie gras or some such nonsense, I seriously just can’t recommend this place enough.

Use to love this place before new management took over they hired this bartender who is the worse bartender I have ever experienced she is rude or extremely drunk every time I have been in there the last time I was in there she kept bringing me shots after I told her I didn’t want any shots then I get my bill at the end of the night and she charged me for double shots when I didn’t order any shots to begin with really disappointed how this place turned out use to love it beware of stupid sloppy drunk a hole bartenders

Nice sports bar but smoking is still allowed in here. If you’re not a smoker you might be put off by the smell. The beer is good.

Lame. «All the TVs are spoken for» and my game’s not on. A sports bar that doesn’t guarantee every game is on.

I would give five stars to the previous owners and four to the current. The menu isn’t as varied but all of the items are tasty and decently priced. My wife suggests going to this standby often and I always agree and am never disappointed. I stick to the more standard fare and can recommend everything. This is a place well worth going to for good, well prepared bar food.

Tried the Ribs and beer. Not that bad of a price, but the Ribs tasted like they were just quickly cooked over the inside grill. No smokey flavor, mostly about the sauce, no texas Rub style to these. Sauce was ok, but Rib was so so, better off going to any other place on my favorites for Ribs. I would give this a 3 star, but the the service was a bit weird. Slow yes, but for a very weird reason — she seemed more interested in chatting with friends. It was like something in a movie, while waving the plate around and around the bar, chatting it up, taking her time, my head was just going back and forth wondering if she forgot my diner was in her hand for 5 minutes. Would have had more to drink if she had asked. Place was a bit divy and a little too smokey to enjoy food. –RibChamp

It’s a bit run down here and not like Bully’s more like a neighborhood bar. They have a secret menu with tacos, burritos, pizzadillas, schwedy balls(pork buns). The food is usual suspect greasy bar food, nothing special. The tacos aren’t the freshest or best in Reno. They have an electronic dart board, shuffle board, and a pool table in back. Warning: the food is bad. I get sick there a lot and my friend also has the same problem. I’ve stopped eating there. It’s just a decent divey drinking hole with great bartenders. Without the great bartenders it would be two star maybe one.

I love to drink beer, eat wings and curse like a sailor after Sunday church. I especially like to do all those things Coaches because they have several big screens playing different games. This allows me to keep up on my fantasy sports. I guess this is the closest sports bar to the Midtown area. Sunday’s bartender is my favorite. I *heart* you Melissa! Oh yeah, try the shrimp kisses! Cheers!

We visited Coach’s for dinner on Halloween to see what’s changed under the new owner, and we left with a very positive impression. There are HDTVs everywhere, so there isn’t a bad seat in the entire place(including the billiards room). Servers were quick to pour drinks and take our order, and the food only took about ten minutes to serve. Overall everything was very clean, even compared to major restaurants. I had the Malibu Chicken sandwich, and my wife had a bacon burger. Both came out perfectly, even with our special requests. I ordered a large Guinness, which usually means I get half a glass of foam with a drinkable portion the size of a small, but the server knew what she was doing and patiently poured until it reached the top… which is how you get a 20%+ tip out of me. There were people winning on the table poker machines, but I’m not a gambler. A few people were smoking beside us at the bar, and while I’m sensitive to cigarette smoke the overhead fans and ventilation system made sure it never came my way. Kudos for that foresight. I was surprised at how many people were there on a Halloween night, but there was very little noise and we enjoyed a relatively quiet dinner. I’ll follow up later after a late-night or lunch visit, but so the new owner/cook are doing things right! Entertainment value rate a 4.5. Service, atmosphere, prices, and cleanliness rate four-stars. Food rates a 3.5, or 4-stars if you’re drinking(it’s a bar!)

Ok Sports Bar, the BF had the daily draft special while I had my usual Jameson. looks like they are adding more TV’s which will really make this place a real sports bar. Service was ok as bartender was more friendlier with her regular clients. restrooms clean and well decorated
