Wanna make a great evening at the ballpark terrible? Give mugsy’s a try… No servers, no bartenders, we had to go find a girl to order. Food was fair but the terrible service didn’t make up for it.

Before our game, we stopped by bugsy’s to give it another try. Worthless. Terrible service. Many staff members just walking by Us without any eye contact. I finally got up and asked if we sat in the wrong section. I was told by the waitress no, but she was waiting on other people ! 20 minutes later a menu. I had warm beer and wings that were so over cooked they were not edible. Unfriendly and crummy food not a good mix. Worthless. Aces need to get a new management team in here or it will be yet another dumpy place at the ball park.

Wow, I rarely give one star, but this establishment did its best to earn it. Bugsys is upstairs in the freighthouse district at aces ballpark. My wife and I went there on the fourth of july to grab dinner before the game. Our drink orders were taken promptly but that is about as good as it gets. My wife ws not really hungry, so she ordered a kids meal grilled cheese. I ordered a bbq bacon cheeseburger. When the foo f arrived it was clearly evident that the grilled cheese had not been grilled, and the cheese was not melted. It was as if the cook grabbed two slices of bread and one slice of cheese put them together and was done. Needless to say we sent it back to make it right. 20 minutes goes by and the waitress comes by and seems amazed we do not have the sandwich, so she says she we ill check on it. 30 minutes goes by and she comes to the table and asks if we still want it, and we respond no. Five minutes later the sandwich shows up with the check. THEYARECHARGINGUSFORTHECHEESESANDWICH. YOUHAVEGOTTOBEKIDDINGME. After talking to the manager and getting it taken off the bill, we quickly exited. I do not plan on revisiting Bugsys any th ime soon

Our meal took forever and our drinks too! The waitress was full of excuses. If you’re going to put a restaurant at a baseball park you should be ready for a crowd. The brisket was chewy too. I would not recommend this restaurant

Horrible, horrible service! Had to ask the waitress for menu’s. 15 minutes later, still no service and 3 different waitresses walked by. You would think after being open for 6 years they would have their shit together, but apparently not. And they are way overpriced.

I have been to Bugsy’s many times in the past 6 years. It’s a favorite pre-game dinner spot. Last night’s opening home game«meal,» though, was my worst restaurant experience EVER. Bugsy’s didn’t open to diners until 5:30 p.m., even though there was an almost-sold-out crowd and despite the fact there were splashy pre-game events that started promptly at 6. My two friends and I were in the door and at a table at 5:30. 80 minutes later — 80 minutes! — our food still had not arrived, and our waitress told us «The kitchen is swamped, and I can’t tell you when your food will come out.» My friends and I left and had to be content with a refreshment stand hot dog. Because of the Bugsy’s treatment, we missed the entire first inning. I don’t know if they have new management or just bad management. Diners at nearby tables were also experiencing similar delays and were angry. We saw quite a few couples come in the door, assess the situation, and turn around and leave. I wish that’s what we had done.

We chose to sit here for the Aces game this past weekend. We had a super large group and thankfully we were able to book up a spot and all sit together. Seating outside is your standard ‘stadium’ seating but we had no problems with our view. Thankfully being on this side of the stadium, we were able to avoid most of the wind that whipped through the stadium. We saw people in winter jackets and toques and we were just fine in our light jackets. Cons to our evening were primarily the service. We had one waitress and it took an epic amount of time to get anything. I was finally able to place my order after most of our group had eaten most of their meal. I had the brisket burger though and it was amaaaazing. Service in the bar was even slower, to the point where we gave up as it was ridiculous. Washrooms are also outside and so we had to go in to the restaurant, back out, and around to find them. My mother-in-law also laughed at the irony of the smoking section being down beside the kid’s area of the stadium. Overall, prices for tickets here are super reasonable and the food was really good. We got drinks down on the main park level and so that’s always an option if you come across the issues we did.

I have been here three times and have experienced the same thing every time. The food is mediocre at best. The menu is very limited and pretty boring. The service inside the restaurant wasn’t too bad but it wasn’t too good either. What blew me away was watching the game from the seats outisde of Bugsys that are priced kind of high and having the servers come out and watch the game and not asking if you need another drink. It was unreal. This happened twice to us. This place has the potential to be a great place with great service. We actually had to keep going into Bugsys to get drink service. There were servers walking around all over looking bored and even coming out and watching the game from the balcony where we sat. Not once during the entire game did we get asked if there was anything we needed. Will NOT be going back there. Also, the reviewer above who said to give the servers a break because they are«hot?» Are you for real? If I am paying $ 9 for a cocktail in a dixie cup then I don’t give a shit if they are hot or not. Get your act together and get your ass out ont he balcony and take care of your patrons.

Reno Unilocalers will destroy you if you don’t have great service. Geez. I’ve always had great service here. One time I was by myself and got a table by the window watching the game and I told her I was expecting friends, but I was really embarrassed, bc they were all late and it looked like I was hogging the table and wasn’t even ordering food yet, but she was so cool about it. The food isn’t that great, but it’s about the experience here. You’re basically sitting in a skybox folks. Quit your whining. You get a table right by the window, watching the game, I don’t care if they serve Oscar Meyer hot dogs and Craft Mac’n’Cheese microwave. The waitresses are also hot so come on, give them a break. The beer selection aint’ great but you can always go to Duffy’s for that. I’ve also been here at night with friends and had a great time.

Went to see the Ace’s(second and last home game of the PCL-alas the Aces lost 9−6…we stayed to the end still hoping) and were starving so we thought we would try watching the game from Bugsy. First of all, the seating is great… best seats in the park so we would go back for just that reason. The menu is limited and there was no drink menu at all offfered to us. Prices seemed a bit high for such a meager offering, really. My husband ordered the Icky Beer Brat with Jalapeño-Apple Slaw and I ordered the Mushroom Bacon Burger. My husband ordered a side of mayo for his fries and I ordered a side of ranch from mine. The food comes in little tin containers that look like a mini-washbasin…not sure that«adds» to the dining experience. My husband’s mayo did not come but my ranch did. We reminded the waitress of the mayo order and she said she’d be right back with it. That was the last we ever saw of her! My husband really liked his brat(thought it was one of the best he’s ever eaten) though he thought there should have been more slaw on the dog. I don’t like brats so my opinion on whether it was good or not doesn’t count because they never taste good to me no matter how well they’re cooked. I eat a hamburger about once every 3 years and I have to say this one wasn’t bad but it wasn’t that good either… just«meh». The bacon was hard, not crispy, more like beef jerky and the mushrooms were hard to find. I didn’t finish half of it… not because it was not good… I just couldn’t finish it… my husband ended up finishing it and thought it okay but like his brat better. The drinks – they come in plastic cups – so I ruled out wine. I just can’t drink wine from a plastic cup so I asked what the lady next to me was having and the waitress said«a margarita». I am not a big fan of Tequila(old college story) but every once in a while I like a good margarita and this one was very good and my husband ordered a tall stout(is that an oxymoron?). The game started and we move outside to watch the game. The night was perfect! The waitress was very attentive and ensured that the clientele on the balcony were well tended to. I have to say the wait staff was very sweet and«on the job” – except for the mayo lady. During the course of the game, we ordered a second round of drinks and, unfortunately, my margarita was so sweet I thought it was made with Mountain Dew! I never ever send a drink back but this one was not fit for human consumption! They did graciously replace it and apologized profusely. At the end of the evening, our bill came and we were a bit taken back at the price of the drinks. $ 9 for a margarita in a plastic cup? But hey, we were at a ball game under the stars on a beautiful night so there was little to complain about. We would go back again, surely… but would only order one drink and maybe a big pretzel instead.

WOW. Excellent food, quick service, great staff. I will go to Bugsy’s every time I visit Aces Ballpark. You can watch the game in the shade and enjoy full bar and kitchen service without buying a suite ticket. TOTALVIP scene for the price of a regular ticket. It is great that the Aces have a place that showcases the park that well and is also available to everyone. I highly recommend stopping by Bugsy’s when you go to a game for a drink and a bite to eat.

My girlfriend and I went to the Aces game last night and wanted to grab some dinner. We went to Bugsy’s and were super excited to get sat along the windows so we could watch the game. That was the only exciting part of our dinner. After being seated we sat for 15 minutes before I had to ask the hostess if I needed to go to the bar to order drinks. Our server then showed up. We ordered drinks, appetizer and dinner just to be safe. After another long wait our two draft beers arrived right before our appetizer and dinners! The pretzel bites were yummy! My girlfriends cheeseburger was cold to the touch and the cheese wasn’t even melted. My ribs were Luke warm and were extremely fatty. Needless to say, we both didnt finish our dinners. When our server came back to check on us we asked for the bill so we could go back to the game and eat something decent. I told her our misgivings about the meal and her reply was«sorry». Don’t waste your time on terrible service, terrible over priced food. We will never be back.

There is only one reason I give this place 2 stars, and it’s because our waitress was playing Major League Ball in a Minor League Game(see what I did there?). Was kind of getting psyched up about this place– It sits inside the stadium, there is outdoor seating to watch the game, and the menu actually looks pretty decent. I decided on the Country Burger, which consisted of a Niman Ranch Burger, Pulled Pork, Onion Ring, and Sweet BBQ Sauce… Sounded amazing. I asked for it pink, and asked for a slaw instead of fries. My friend just ordered the buffalo wings, as those should be easy to make. 40 minutes later. No food. Our waitress kept checking in with us, and apologized repeatedly, eventually going into the kitchen to speed up the process. The Result: Our food was lukewarm,(the wings were actually cold), my burger was overcooked to medium well at the very least, and there were fries instead of the slaw I ordered. The waitress came and asked how our food was, and when I told her it was basically totally wrong, she talked to the manager and comped my food. Because that’s what you should do when everything goes wrong. Dear Waitress whose name I forgot, if you ever read this, please quit working at this hideous place. You are talented, great with people, and could easily work at a high end restaurant where you would be tipped accordingly, and not have to constantly apologize for terrible food. Join the Major Leagues, you belong there!

Stopped by there a couple times since, Seems they have been struggling with balancing being open with low traffic numbers during the day. An understandable challenge, the girl still could have been more helpful. Kevin the bartender is rock solid at what he does, great bartender, remembers you and stays on top of service. Not a priority stop for me in the off season, but I’ll stop in for a beer when I’m walking around Downtown.

Ok I really try to be fair in my ratings… Must go above and beyond for a five and be really bad for a 1. Bugsys has earned its 1 star. Pros: –really good food –bartenders are helpful(more than waitresses but will get to that) — good for a bar — great views of ball game Cons: Wont list but will explain. First time went in and looked for seating. Was told to go to other side of restaurant and the girl there would seat us. My bad for going into the entrance thinking I could get seated there. Also got to other side and there were 5 girls all running around… NOHOSTESS. Gave the lost puppy look and 5 minutes later got seated. Food took a while and asked for 2 sodas because the first refill took forever. Asked for bill when food arrived. strike one! OK so the fiar part. Garlic fries were good and red eye burger cooked perfectly and tasty. So only minor issues with service first time so went back with friends just before a game. Same upon entry… go over there and find someone to seat you! Decided to sit at the bar and after almost 10 minutes felt like I was stuck in a matrix.“does anyone know we are here” Bartender finally helped us and got our orders right in. Food(well, mine) arrived about 40 minutes later and two friends were still waiting. About 5 waitresses poured out of the kitchen with lots of orders. None were ours but they mistakenly gave me someone elses order that was the same as mine. I had a strong feeling it wasnt mine but ate it anyway. Got tired of waiting. after an hour my friends burger showed up and we finally asked fo it to be wrapped up since it was already the 4th inning of the game. They apologized for the 10th time and wrapped it up for us only to be told as we headed down to our seats we could not take food down with us! Strike two My family and I didnt eat before a game and decided to give it one more try. What a mistake. Same long service. Same confusion trying to get a seat. Luckily our food showed up as I was ready to just leave a few bucks for the sodas we had ordered over a half hour earlier as we still waited for food. Saw some customers leave around us. Again the burger was delicious but wondered why it took that long for my wifes salad and an order of fries my daughter had. I had ordered a side of the Parmesan garlic fries and they were just nasty! After inspection I realized they had put blue cheese on them! Strike 3 So I will never go back. Unfortunately they will thrive because of the location inside the ballpark. They really need to do something about the service there. Just because you hire a bunch of pretty girls, doesnt mean they can do the job of waitress. The kitchen may ultimately bring that place down.
