This is a specific complaint about the sandwiches. They never put enough meat! I ordered a turkey bacon club sandwich and got 4 pieces of thin sandwich meat in my large sandwich. I know most places are conservative with their meat, but this togos is extremely conservative. This has happened to me on numerous occasions at this location. I keep going back because I like the location. I just wish they would include more meat. I attached a picture. It’s unfortunate to spend near $ 10 on a sandwich that doesn’t even satisfy me.

Hot pastrami sandwich stone cold. No mayo. Credit card machine not working. Bad attitude. I’ve been eating at Togo’s since the 70’s. I’ve been to quite a few of their shops. Lately at this shop it’s been getting a bit sketchy with the service and the attitude and today was the last straw. Attitude I can somewhat overlook. You ruin the product and you’re done. I’m not going back till there is a change of ownership and everyone is fired. From the looks of a few other reviews, my experience isn’t unique.

Not good. Bread falling apart, old-looking ingredients with processed, low quality shredded lettuce. I can remember when Togo’s was delicious and had sandwiches like shredded barbecue beef. Whoever bought this company has destroyed it and turned it into a Subway knock-off. This is a franchise casualty and what happens when investment boards get together and talk about how to cut costs and increase profit. Not even a good value. You can get this exact same quality at Safeway, so what’s the point in coming here?

Love Togo’s sandwiches. This is a review about how a bad screw up with one employee was fixed by another employee’s great customer service. Ordered 26 sandwiches on a Saturday afternoon for pick up the next day. Gave order to Rafa who confirmed it would be ready for pick up on Sunday at 11:30AM. When my husband went to pick up the order, the Sunday crew was not aware of the order and so had not made the sandwiches. My husband told them to fix it because people were waiting for lunch. Johnny and the crew working that Sunday did just that and made all the sandwiches as ordered. They fixed Rafa’s screw up. Great customer service Johnny.

All of a sudden, I don’t see the ENTIRE staff/crew that used to work here; I was curious, so I asked if they changed hands — and they confirmed it. Seems like the energy/synergy that used to exemplify a pretty tight operation still seems unexerienced, and not optimal in the customer-facing department yet. Also, I was recently mischarged sales tax on a to-go sandwich that was entered into the cash register as an «eat-in»(i.e. eating for here).

I go here often as it’s right down the street from my work. I always order online and go to the pickup line so I don’t have to wait in the crazy long lunch line. My sandwiches are always made when I get there because I get the hot pastrami and they prep it and then add the meat once I get there! I LOVE that they consider how the bread will get soggy if they do it prior to my arrival. My last trip there, a new girl helped me and didn’t realize they hadn’t added the meat and I got to my car and opened it and realized it only had the cheese lol! I go back in and the manager, who was on her own lunch break, got up and gave me a coupons for a free sandwich for my next visit and offered me a free soda and chips. I didn’t even complain and they were proactive in addressing the mistake! Talk about customer service! Bravo Team!

I usually don’t come here, but on Friday I ordered the chicken wrap and it was delicious. I must say Togo’s still got it, I love the new menu and changes they’re made. Great job!!!

TOGO’s is fine if you are in a pinch and need to grab a quick bite to eat but definitely nothing to rave about. The meat and toppings seem pretty fresh but all of their sandwich options are very basic and they don’t bring anything unique to the table. I must note that they are usually really fast which is a plus when you are in a hurry. They also offer a free drink coupon on Unilocal which I use pretty often. I wish they had dutch crunch bread because I think it would add the textural component that seems to be lacking with their sandwiches but again, for a decent priced bite to eat in a hurry, its more then sufficient.

I got myself the high rise sandwich. The girl made it just like I wanted it. In fact even more delicious then I’d imagine it. She had a great smile, great attitude, I left very happy and fullfilled. They have a lot of seats in the seating area and the temperature is just right. It was soo good that I almost took a nap there.

I remember the days when Togos stated that their sandwich makers had to be able to complete a sandwich within a particular time. This store clearly does not adhere to that standard if the requirement still exists. Additionally, another employee was cleaning the floors behind the sandwich makers. It clearly made it tough for them to work, as there was at least ¼ inch of water, soap & probably bleach under their feet. Let’s just say the odor was not conducive to eating in the store. The sandwich itself was in line with most Togos. The only other peeve was that the guy after me ordered the exact same sandwich — and was already half done by the time I walked out with my sandwich. Hot meat was not ready for either of our sandwiches, yet he got his first. My sandwich had to wait for the next round. The one great thing is that the staff is very friendly & courteous.

The only reason this place exist is because it is the only sandwich shop in Redwood Shores. 1. Tired old store. Please give us a Firehouse Subs instead. 2. Food quality is on par with Subway. 3. They have the worst ordering process. There is no flow of customers. You stand there while the same person makes your sandwich and rings you up. This makes no sense and SLLLOOWWS down the customer line. 4. The bread is elastic. 5. The Italian is a decent sandwich.

bought two sandwiches to go and a small bag of chips yesterday. First of all-$ 1.65 for a tiny bag of chips? as for the egg and tuna sandwiches– it seems that they are using smaller scoops of egg and tuna– hardly any in either sandwich when we bit into them. on top of this the prices have gone UP! won’t be coming back!

It’s across the street from my job, it has great prompt service, and fresh flavorful bread and ingredients what more could you need in a sandwich? I am currently on a low carb diet so I try to avoid this place as much as I can. I rather have a sandwich there than a salad but I love the daily deal meals with a 6″ sandwich and a drink. Turkey and Cheese and Pastrami are my favorites but there is a lot of variety. At about $ 7+ dollars a visit it is not the cheapest place to get lunch but has decent value especially if you buy a daily special.

This is my favorite sandwich chain, I love the number 9. The food is always consistant, and the service is always good. You can get in and out easily and you can even call your order in, which I do at lunch time. You can order online, I just wish they had a phone app…

I typically avoid reviewing chains, but an idiotic transaction here finally drove me to Unilocal. What happened: My kids each ordered a sandwich and a bag of chips each. The sandwich-maker mentioned they were having a special, and by just adding fountain drinks, the total would be only $ 6 for both girls. I thanked them for the info and said we’d take the deal… but to hold the drinks please.(We don’t do soda, and we had already brought water with us). I assumed I’d be charged the promised $ 6 and just not get the sodas(I’d get the price break and Togos would save the cost of the drinks and cups). A win for both of us… right? RIGHT? Wrong. I was charged the non-sale $ 9 price, since I didn’t take the extra drinks. What drones! This never would have happened at a mom-n-pop place. Further justification that I never eat at Togos unless I’m close by and my kids are ravenous.(Also evidence that Togos has officially joined the fast food fraternity — the ones who want to reward consumers for loading up on fattening items.) Sort of like this place:( )

I’m not sure, but I think sandwich making now requires a degree in active listening with a minor course study in remembering. How bleeping hard is it to make a chicken salad sandwich with lite mayo & lettuce ONLY. Rocket science I tell ya! I got mustard, pickles, onions, pepperocinis a heck of a lot of lettuce & barely any meat. For the price I’m paying, it’s not worth it. I’d rather go to the Sandwich Spot, & pay more money for a better sandwich. I’ve never been a big fan of TOGO’s but was willing to give them another try. Seems by the reviews this location is pretty bad. Kudo’s sandwich person, you just lost a potential turn around customer.

Not really the best Togo’s I’ve been to. The food quality is typical Togo’s(decent), but the employees at this particular restaurant often mess up my order and tend to rush me. The last time I was here, two employees continuously asked me if I was ready to order — even though I repeatedly told them I was looking at the menu(and I was standing behind the«rope» so it didn’t appear I was ready, which I found was not useful the hard way). Every time I order any item that may contain cheese, I always say«no cheese» twice(to make sure they hear me), but somehow the employees always fail to understand me and add cheese anyways. How much more do I have to make myself clear? The restaurant itself is quite nice. For the most part it’s clean and there’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating(my favorite quality). I wish Starbucks, which is a few doors down, was in this location instead for more seating.
