This place is now closed 2 months for«remodeling». You know what that usually means. Been there 3 – 4 times since for dinner and their food was actually decent but never bothered to change their Tokyo Star signage… bad move. Bottom line: Bye bye for now(or for good?).

One of the worst experiences. Poor service. Cold food. Long interval between ordering and getting food. Did not get everything I ordered. Rude manager. Poor English skills from everybody who works there. Oh, yea, the Credit card machine was not working! But they don’t tell you that when you come in or order. Lots of workers running around and doing nothing. Bad day? Maybe, but their lack of acknowledgement of problems makes me think it’s a management issue. People next to me waited 40 minutes. 3 people. Food comes for just one of them and it was cold. They walked out. I should have too. Adding a comment: this is still the same as Tokyo Star. Nothing has changed, except they tried a weak attempt at a new brand. Problem is it’s mostly the same people and nothing else has changed.

I hate writing bad reviews but I think these are the same owners as everybody before them, just rebranded. About one month into the Masa name, the plates our food was served on still said Tokyo Star, inside didnt change much, signage above shop still says Tokyo Star, and service about the same. I wish I could be as detailed as I usually am, but I just cant place my finger on what I didnt like about my sushi and don’t want to call out any rolls since this is kinda a new place. I may go back to see if maybe they had an off day because don’t we all have those? But while I didn’t expect this to be a mind-blowing experience to begin with, as somebody who always sees their glass as half empty so that they’ll be pleasantly surprised… I actually ended up disappointed.
