Was in the area and famished. We saw that they had a sign for combos and walked in to take a look. 1st impression is that’s it’s clean. We took a look at their menu and were impressed. We ordered burritos. I ordered the fajita chicken burrito and my husband ordered the California steak burrito; with drinks it was 20 bucks. I’ve been let down by mexican restaurants that look too americanized, so I didn’t set my expectations too high. Food was made and served promptly. First bite was magnificent, like I have to get as much as I can in my mouth magnificent. Everything that was supposed to be in the burrito was in every bite. Making it so enjoyable to eat. Husband’s was delicious as well. His had every ingredient in every bite too. Definitely impressed and will be back.

We always get good service, and all burritos we tried have been awesome. Especially the veggie burrito with all the veggies(versus fajita for veggies at Chipotle).

Every time I come here, my experience has always been amazing! This starts from the staff to the wonderful owners! I work very close and when I go here for lunch I’m always received with a warm welcome. The food is fantastic and flavorful! I ordered the chicken fajitas burrito and I’m hooked. I think I’m going to make it one of my regular orders. Thank you for your excellent customer service! I’ll be back!

Just another Mexican joint on the Nob Hill Plaza — they have a TV showing some kind of soccer, playing Ranchero music, and making very Americanized Mexican food… I am not impressed with the service, or quality of food, of flavor, and especially cautious about the upkeep of this place. However, it’s a very convenient food-on-the-go, but not fast food chain… was here before, came back, and will be back again…

The service is amazing and they have free wifi to hang out. They have a good taste in mexican music so i would really recommened the tacos because they are so good with cilantro. Five stars

This is my go-to lunch spot on my lunch break. How can you beat a whole meal for $ 7?! My favorite thing here is the combo meal which comes with a drink. They give you a big tortilla soup and a big taco! I can never finish the whole meal. It’s basically 2 meals for $ 7! What a deal.

I went on a lunch break with a coworkers and there honestly isn’t anything really special about this restaurant… I ordered the Quesadilla w/Steak which came out to be about $ 8-$ 9, not bad. You get some chips too. There’s also a salsa bar with a pretty good variety of additions to your order. The quesadilla came in 4 slices — they were pretty and somewhat filling. The presentation of the dish comes out super nice! I liked how they put some sauces on the side, but at the same time it started to get super messy as I began to eat… I felt that they put a lot of sauces on it, but not that much meat… I kind of wish they put more meat in it because I felt like I was eating more of the other ingredients. Though I definitely was full at the end, I think it was because of all the carbs that come with the meal. If I wanted to grab something for a quick bite, I would go here… But I’m sure there are other alternatives than Una Mas.

I had… –Chicken pineapple thai Burrito. Twas a very loud throughout my meal, with a poor choice of Mexican radio station blaring far too loudly. The burrito was decent, with great flavor and a bit of spice. The burrito includes pineapple, lending it a refreshing feel.

Go here for salad. Recommend getting: chicken taco salad. ask for jalapeño lime dressing on the side. This salad is quite tasty.

We have worked with Una Mas to cater a number of office lunches. They were great! They delivered the food on time, were polite, service oriented, and most importantly the food was delicious. Awesome value for money and evreyone in the office was happy.

I actually like this place for really fast, convenient food. The individuals working the cash register and taking orders are always very friendly and accommodating. I must admit I have encountered the somewhat frequent review gripes about asking for something extra or subtracted and not receiving it. It has only happened once, so I don’t really feel like it is a huge issue. I regularly get either the fajita, or California burrito. The fajita is as you would expect, while the California is a standard meat, rice, cheese burrito but WITHFRENCHFRIES. Seriously, one of the best guilty pleasures I have found. Totally worth a shot.

Good food, great service, great prices. The only drawback is if you’re eating in, the interior is a bit run-down. But, I don’t mind. The owners and the staff are very friendly and the food is consistently good. I recommend the chicken fajitas.

Good quality food, freshly made in vicinity. Staff are friendly and caring to ensure we get the right order even if customized. Keep up the good work! Gracias!

The place is ok as long as you don’t want any additions or subtractions on your orders. If you deviate at all from the printed menu, it’s a total coin toss as to whether or not you’ll get it. The last time I went there, the only thing I asked was that they hold the sauce on one of their specialties. I asked and confirmed this over the phone, and it was repeated back to me. I got there, and during the 10 minutes or so that I ended up waiting, I kept hearing two of the staff re-iterating the basic ingredients of what I had ordered to each other. Mind you, the only request that I had was hold the sauce on one menu item. I mentioned to them not to put that sauce on it, and they glanced over at me and kept reviewing the ingredients(again, this was one of their own basic menu items). Well, I didn’t want to go overboard with confirming and re-confirming that they wouldn’t put this on my food. I thought that any further reminders would start pissing off the staff. I would think that if I was working behind the counter, like at a burger joint, I’d start to get annoyed if a customer told me 3 or more times just not to put ketchup on their burger. Like, I GETITALREADY! Lo and behold, I get home, and my girl bites into her item to find it saturated with that sauce. Now, what’s the deal with a little sauce you may ask? Maybe not much, and you might argue that it’s anal retentive, but in this sense, imagine a signature pizza where all of the ingredients are great, except that one of them is something weird like… mint jelly. So you order one, but just say«hold the mint jelly» because that just makes the whole thing taste too weird. I called them up later on and mentioned what had happened. The person working the phone confirmed who I was, and recalled my request, but had nothing to say aside from«Oh…» or silence as I explained. No offer of a refund or to make it right whatsoever. I’m not going back. What’s the point of paying for takeout when you practically have to police people into making it correctly, or otherwise jump over the counter and make it yourself? Not only that, but when I called back to voice my concerns(no angry ranting, yelling, or otherwise) there was no concern or attempt to do anything about it. It’s not that they made a mistake. Anyone can make a mistake and I’m pretty understanding in that respect. It’s that they still made it after I double-checked, and they didn’t even care. Lame.

Food is as you’d expect from Una Mas, but the problems start before there. My last three visits have ended with my order getting lost /wrong. I patiently waited for 7 minutes until one of the workers noticed i was still here and asked what my order was. Apparently it was lost so I had to wait another 5 mins for the food to come out, except they still gave me the wrong food! This actually happened to me the last time I was here about three months ago, hence deciding to wait a bit hoping logistics improve; they didn’t and they didn’t offer me anything for the trouble. Perhaps if you stand in front of the cooks the entire time this won’t happen to you, but do beware!

In the area and pressed for time… this shouldn’t have been our go to place. First off, only two people working– the cashier and one cook. Took almost 10 minutes to order since the cashier was helping the cook with a large order, got our food about 15 minutes later and my steak taco has large over cooked pieces of steak in the taco which meant my taco essentially fell apart because I couldn’t just bite into the taco without a large piece of steak falling out. The chips were super drenched in oil which meant they had been sitting out for quite some time and the salsa bar was half empty. So all in all, I will not be going there again.

I ordered the California burrito but it doesn’t come with guacamole… so I had to pay extra for that. Don’t most places that do california burritos include guac? It felt like a typical«chain» mexican restaurant so I didn’t have too high of hopes for the place. The horchata didn’t taste right and I wouldn’t recommend getting it.

Yeah, this was not a good choice. Very un-welcoming vibe and the food portion was skimpy compared to cost. Plus, it wasn’t very flavorful at all. We would have gotten twice as much food with better flavor looking for a taco truck! We only ran in here because we were between soccer games and Togo’s ran out of their gluten-free wraps. No bueno!

I used to frequent this Una-Mas location a lot a couple years ago. I stopped going because the service. There was always a couple there and I think they were the owners. They weren’t very welcoming if that makes sense. Just not friendly and always seem to be in a bad mood. I went back on Father’s Day for lunch after a workout next door at club. I had the tortilla soup and it was pretty good. My biggest disappointment again was the service. The cashier wasn’t very friendly for some reason. It was 11:30am and I was the only customer there. Just a simple thing as smiling sometimes is enough and goes a long way. I guess you would expect it from an employee but not the owners.

Got a burrito here, pretty decent, w/chips and drink for 8 bucks. Nothing super special, since in the Bay Area, its more about authentic mexican vs. chain restaurants. Didn’t have a bad experience at least.
