Great atmosphere! Nice patio! This is a very good spot for coffee and pastries, and also they have a complete menu of interesting sandwiches. Very cute atmosphere and a nice place to meet friends, or just to enjoy reading or working on my own.

I’ve only been here once but I had a single cappuccino and my friend had a soy latte. I’m a big believer on sitting down at a coffee shop to enjoy my coffee instead of the grab and go so sit I did. As other reviews mentioned, it is like being in someones living room with lots of cushiony seats though I’m not sure how clean they are. The environment is very laid back and for those who want to have some serious computer work done, there are some tables as well as some patio seating for those who wants some sun. I love the addition of a giant chess set in front of the seats by the pastry display. Free wifi, just ask for a password. My cappuccino was one of the best because I am a huge sucker for froth. Over half my cup was thick froth it was like sipping on a milky cloud. I shared a cherry tart with my friend and it was quite tasty even though I don’t like cherry flavored things. Will be back for some more me time!

The raddest coffee shop that gives off the perfect vibe. Only cons are that its always busy and when it’s busy the wifi is terrible

Excellent and comfortable space. Great outside patio. Generally friendly employees. On-point coffee and prepared drinks. From what I have experienced, the soups and quiches are very good(and a bit pricey). The quality of their tea is quite a bit below that of their coffee. Wi-Fi can also be a bit spotty. rant This is a downgrade from previous post. Yesterday, I ordered a simple turkey/swiss half-sandwich and a soup. I opted for the create-my-own sandwich because I only wanted turkey/swiss/bread. Unfortunately, I must not have driven home that point strongly enough and the sandwich arrived in about 20min with lettuce, tomato, and probably something else. Sadly(actual sadness), I’m used to getting«all the fixins» and this stuff is usually easy to remove(don’t worry, I get enough spinach and greenery that even Poppy can’t hate). But shit… below the swiss cheese product and turkey… was mf’ing mayo. I think mayo is disgusting, but I know many people like it. I would say that there is an equal number of people who love it as there are who throw up a little bit thinking about it. So… why do chefs assume that all people want mayo and that it is a good idea to automatically put this in? Please, anyone who works in food service that has an answer, please respond to this review. Googling this question only finds other similar rants. So back to the story: I politely tell the lady who delivered the soup/sandwich that I only ordered turkey/swiss. She is unhappy(maybe in life) and gives me feedback about their exclusionary ordering policy(i.e. I need specify what I don’t want, rather than what I do want). Regardless, I can’t eat this. The lady leaves the soup and goes to exchange the sandwich. I’m fine with sending this back… I would prefer jizz or someone using the bread to wipe their butt over mayo. Fast forward 40min later, still no sandwich. I’m not sure where the lady went or if she’s alright, but the the wi-fi was being super finicky, and I need the internet, so I leave the soup and take off. /rant I know right? Very climatic ending. Writing this was very cathartic. Thank you all for listening. I still encourage everyone to check out the space.

Best coffee shop in the South Bay and my favorite place to study! Free wi-fi. It can get pretty crowded, especially on the weekends, but there is plenty of seating(both indoor and outdoor) and I’ve always been able to find a spot. The baristas are friendly and the coffee is awesome. Get a latte. I’ve never tried the food, but looks like pretty standard coffee shop fare(scones, sandwiches). There’s a private lot for parking, as well as plenty of parking on the residential streets. There’s no air conditioning so it can get pretty hot in the summer, but no one believes in AC around here anyways. I love this place!

This place was pretty good. The painting up above the registers were a bit inappropriate. But the coffee was delicious, and the roast beef sandwich tasted awesome! If you have to go to the bathroom, go right a way the line gets intense. Cool place to chill and lounge around.

Just keeps getting worse… Used to rate this place 5 stars but over the last few years it’s gradually fallen far from its original greatness. Tonight there was a young(~10 years old) girl behind the counter loudly talking with the employees and generally being a noisy distraction to customers looking for a calm place to chill. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the guy roasting coffee beans decided it was a good idea to run an insanely loud shop-vac to clean up. It was an hour before closing; couldn’t he have waited? Had to repeat my order several times for the absent-minded barista. Looks like they have plasticware now instead of real forks, knives, and spoons. I just don’t understand what happened to this place. I used to be such a great experience but not anymore. Drip coffee is still some of the best I’ve ever had, but the food, ambiance, and especially the service are now complete fails. Sad.

A nice polite neighborhood hang out that’s casual, convenient(for those in the South Bay of Redondo Beach) walking distance to the ocean beach shore. The service is fast and friendly. You can chill out, meet up and hang out here, comfy and cozy. Parking is easy per se in that they have a parking lot for customers but adjacent there’s plenty of parking on the streets in the residential neighborhood if you’re willing to walk a block or two away.

The Catalina Coffee Company is a cozy little café with lots of comfortable seating and coffee selections. It is probably one of my favorite coffee shops in the South Bay. I would recommend the apple cider and the homemade chocolate chip cookies. Very very delicious! If you just want to get some reading or work done, this is a great place. I especially loved sitting by the chairs near the fireplace on cold nights.

From the outside it looks like a great place to get some coffee, get some work down, and or catch up with some friends. When you enter inside it does have that cozy feel. There are all these mismatched furniture and décor, that it all actually works. After that, that’s where everything went kind of down hill. Though the décor looks cool, they are far from functional or comfortable. I sunk so far into the couches and felt stuck. Not many seats near some outlets, or either I could rarely find any. Service is really meh. No one seemed quite happy to be there. I also did not appreciate what felt like signs everywhere telling people what to do. For example there are signs about a $ 4 credit card minimum, then around the corner is a tray and cart telling people to bus their own tables. It did not feel welcoming or personable at all to me. Drinks are a generous size but that’s about the only good thing. Both my friend’s drink and mine weren’t hot, just warm. It tasted ok, nothing special. My friend got the curry sandwich and it was pretty bland. Think 2 slices of wheat bread, tomato, lettuce, then some canned chicken mixed with curry powder.

My group ended up at Catalina Coffee Co twice for breakfast during our recent trip to Redondo. The coffee shop is adorable and felt like you were at someone’s home. At the time of our trip, it was decorated festively for Halloween. My order was similar both days. On the first day I had an iced coffee with the special, a healthy black bean burrito. It was a whole wheat tortilla stuffed with egg white, black beans, cheese and I added avocado. It came with a side of salsa. On the second day, I added a cup of the Mexicali tortilla soup. I really enjoyed the food and thought it was above average for a coffee shop. It was also excellent that they were preparing everything to-order. Just be warned, that it may take a while if you order food, especially if it’s during a busy time.

I came here to study and do some homework on a Wednesday night. The place was not crowded at all and it was fairly quiet and easy to concentrate on work. I sat at the counter facing the wall, which made it very difficult to find an outlet for my laptop. I was able to grab one, but there definitely wasn’t enough for one outlet per stool at the counter. No good. I ordered the ham sandwich on sourdough(came with a pickle) and an iced tea. Very good food and drink, though nothing special here. There are mostly couches and armchairs here, along with large tables — this makes it great for groups. If you’re by yourself, it’s a different story. I personally prefer flat surfaces to work on, and those were somewhat harder to find if you’re just one person and don’t want to hog a five-person table. The counter where i sat is nice, but there is only one outlet, five chairs(could fill up quickly!), and no afternoon breeze coming in through that side. All in all, this is a pretty substantial shop. The food isn’t terrible, it’s comfortable, and there’s parking in the front. What more could you ask for?

The coffee is okay here. BUT I am upping the stars from«a-okay» because of the amazing interior. Such a cozy and nondistracting spot to get some good work or reading done. They have a great seat selection and the place is so large that you won’t have any issues with nearby conversations distraction you. If anything, you’d just end up switching locations with in the store. Always super productive when I come here to work. Wifi is pretty good, though I have had an issue with it before where it didn’t work for like 20 minutes. But that seemed to be an outlier. Outlets are also easily accessed. Parking is super easy.

This place is a great place to study and hangout with friends. A lot of tables and couches to just chill on. They have a MASSIVE chess board if any y’all are interested in that. :) I’ve come here a few times and very much enjoyed studying here. Though they close a bit early which completely sucks. If they stayed open a little later they might have more people. Also came on a Sunday and there were absolutely no parking spots. However just around the corner about half a block down there’s a lot of open spots. :)

Catalina Coffee Co has a large interior. It also has outdoor seating. It’s a welcoming spot to just chill. It’s unfortunate that it only has one bathroom for both men and women. There is always a line for this ONE restroom. It’s a good place to meet. I liked the atmosphere. The coffee is average. It had pastries.

Lots of seating areas and a spacious outdoor patio. The indoor seating, however, definitely looks aged and is worn from use… I guess it creates a home-y, comfy environment though! The WiFi is spotty. One of the employees claimed to have fixed it, but it still didn’t work. I came there to do some work, so I didn’t want to stay long. Definitely a nice location for a coffee date though! They have a chess set and a few other games available to play. Food and Drinks: — Orange Blossom Tea — Not bad! Unsweetened, so I definitely like to add some sugar water, which is available for customer use on the counter next to the register. — Strawberry Smoothie — Had a powdery taste… Jamba Juice it was not. — Chocolate chip cookie — Actually pretty good! I didn’t expect much for a coffee shop cookie, but it was soft and had lots of chocolate chips!

Yeah… Just got home from this place. Me thinks not. I walked in here for the first since I always drive by and have never checked it out. I gotta say I was a bit disappointed mixed with a feeling of displeasure. From outside this café looked cozy and inviting but once I walked in, I felt it was far from it. As soon as I walked in, I noticed a funky smell! I don’t know if you’re as big on your sense of smell than I am but, it was definitely obvious. It kinda smelled liked a basement from the 70’s… with thick, filthy never before washed carpet smell. I told myself I would stay for a bit(had some reading to take care of) so I ordered the *Aloha Latte. Not sure why I tipped the cashier who took my order, because his attitude was a bit sarcastic when I asked for a suggestion or recommendation since I was a first-timer but I did anyway. To say the least, my drink wasn’t all that. Nothing different than a watered down latte. The exterior deceived me, I was disappointed. I won’t be returning.

Free wi-fi, though its pretty spotty. I would randomly lose internet access or it was extremely slow. Cute space. It was very big, with a nice patio. Plenty of chairs and desk and couches for people to lounge or do work/study. The crowd here is extremely friendly. Coffee was good, no complaints. I would definitely come back here to do some studying, but not if I need to do some heavy internet searching.

Really cool little place. My girlfriend and I had been wanting to try this place since riding our bikes by and becoming intoxicated by the wonderful coffee bean aroma oozing out the front doors. We finally tried it today. First off, it’s affordable. About $ 2 for a generously sized small black coffee. Something like $ 3.50 for specialty drinks. We didn’t try any of the food, but were pleasantly surprised at the plethora of sandwich options. I definitely plan on trying them soon, and will update this review as soon as I do. Secondly, the«vibe» here is terrific. It has a very open feeling with tons of windows and doors, all hanging open to let in the natural light. There’s plenty of cool tables and chairs(and even dinner trays too), so relaxing is pretty easy here. If I have any work to do, I’d definitely consider bringing the laptop here over any old Starbucks.
