Clearie’s is one of Redding’s finest! We were treated to a week-night dinner and everything was suburb! The atmosphere, the very friendly and helpful wait staff, the service, the presentation, and especially the taste of the food. The men enjoyed the filet mignon meatloaf – which is NOT your mother’s meatloaf – so delicious I wanted to eat the leftovers the next evening at home. But alas, so did my hubs! We girls enjoyed the grilled catfish with a mango salsa. The whole party shared a Bananas Fosters Crème Brulee. Go to their website and drool: . Warning: quite pricey, but such a great place for a celebration or a long evening dinning with friends.

Food was very bland. I had filet mignon bacon wrapped meatloaf and wife had the chicken marsala. The meatloaf just tasted bland with some small potatoes. It had what tasted like ketchup baked into the top of it. Overall it was bland and dry. There was no sauce to dress it up or make it interesting. I tasted my wife’s chicken marsala. The marsala sauce was very bland and the chicken tasted like it had just been baked in the oven with no spices. Anyway did I say the food was bland? Prices are high enough and the food should be gourmet. I would not recommend this place.

We decided to order a large take-out dinner since it doesn’t seem like there didn’t seem to be anything on the menu that’d specifically be for young kids(so my nephews ate other food while the adults enjoyed Clearie’s). Overall, everyone was satisfied with their order, including the specials — slow-roasted prime rib and the sea bass. My sister also mentioned that the complimentary sour dough bread was good along with the duck salad. What stuck out the most for me was that lemonade chiffon. It was a light, fluffy, and refreshingly cool dessert with a lot of zing and really hit the spot on an especially warm day. The only hitch about our dinner which everyone noticed was that some of the dates in the Prosciutto Wrapped Dates appetizer were NOT wrapped with prosciutto, so this inconsistency was very disappointing given that this appetizer was on the pricey side($ 11).

The garlic fries are amazing! We always have a great lunch experience. They are able to get us in and out in a timely manner. The staff is courteous and seem to be experienced.

Best in town. Period. Could do with some better beers on tap but the food is amazing as is the service. I take all visiting executives from out of town here and all are impressed.

Everybody loved their dinner. I especially loved mine because they made a beautiful vegan plate for me! True class that they were willing to satisfy all of the diners of our party of four! Highly recommend this place you won’t be disappointed.

My wonderful boss gave me a gift card to this place and it did not disappoint! My husband and I started off with the Baked Brie appetizer and it was wonderful. The candied jalapeño jelly on top was a really nice touch. They served it with bread and roasted garlic. Then I ordered the filet mignon meatloaf. It was a great portion size, I couldn’t even finish it! My husband had the fish and chips and he said he loved them. It was a huge portion! My husband is able to eat a lot and usually will finish my meals for me, but he was too stuffed. I recommend going when they have their menu special between 5 and 6pm. They have a list of items for only $ 16!

Very good food, service, and a nice atmosphere. We came in on a Thursday night, and sat at the bar, the bartender was very friendly and professional, we felt very welcome. It was fairly busy, but service was timely and our food was great. Enjoyable experience all around, we will be back. Minus one star for small portion sizes to food cost ratio.

The food here is excellent. Had the special of seared ahi in an avocado and wasabi sauce. Banana Crème brûlée. The service was fantastic. We had Justin as a server and he was quite mindful of our dinner. Great way to spend the day after fly fishing on the river.

A diamond in the ruff(in our opinion). This place doesn’t look too impressive from the outside, but once you step in, you’re greeted by the kind attentive staff and you transport into a papering like experience. From the art work and memorabilia displayed to the friendly staff and the amazing food. We cannot say enough good things about this place. Our waiter, Jason, was awesome! We enjoyed a post dinner drink at the bar, the bartender, Allen was very knowledgable of where a lot of their beers are from as well as wines and other great selections they had, which was a lot. Bar was impressively stocked. This place has heart, and it’ll make you feel like an appreciative local.

Came here on a Saturday night starving after a long day of driving followed by a hike up at Burner Falls. So you could probably guess we weren’t exactly dressed our best. We came around 5:45/6 and saw it was quite busy, and everyone seemed to be dressed for going out for a night. So my companion and I were starting to feel a little out of place, especially since it seemed like the restaurant manager?/hostess knew every person walking in and out of this place. We were asked if we had a reservation but since we’re from out of town we didn’t know we needed one, we just Unilocaled to find a really good place to end our little weekend trip. She first said she might not have anything till after 8, my friend and I kinda talk amongst our selves to see if we wanted to go do something and wait till then or find a different place. She then looked over at a table that was almost done with their main course and said to us she usually kept that table for walk ins and if we didn’t mind waiting for about 30 minuets she would be able to seat us. We thought that was really nice of her as she could have turned us away but she accommodated us the best she could. So we went and sat at the bar to have a drink while we wait. 6:30 on the dot she came over to let us know they were setting our table and we would be seated in a few. This was one of the best meals I had ever had from start to finish. Usually you like one or two things about the meal but everything was amazing, especially that bread! So crispy on the outside but perfectly soft and chewy. We got the spinach turnover as an appetizer, I got the soup which was a chicken, bean and bacon; but I’d call it a chowder on how thick it was. My friend just got the house salad with a Cesar blue cheese dressing, which I thought was pretty good and I can’t stand blue cheese. For our main course I got the prime rib and my friend got the duck. Both were so delicious and cooked to perfection I was amazed. Coming from the bay area we have a ton of places for fine dining and this place was at the top of the list for us. Everything from the ambiance, service, and the food was five stars and we will definitely be coming back the next time we are in Redding.

A friend took me here for lunch a couple of weeks ago and when we walked in we were surprised at how dark everything is inside. It was nicely decorated, just really dark. The service and the food were excellent. Best I have had in a while. We split the fish and chips and fish tacos. Both had really good flavor, good presentation and I even had some left overs to take home for a snack later. It was really good. We will definitely be back. We wondered how we drove by all those times after 4 years living in Redding and didn’t even notice it. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the staff. Well done.

This is one of me and my girlfriend’s favorite place for a dinner date in town. Nice atmosphere for a date, as long as the old people are too drunk. The soup I had was squash I don’t dig squash that much but it was amazing and the bread and butter the five to you is really good as well. I got the crispy duck with cherry glaze and sweet potatoes. My girlfriend got the pesto salmon with spinach risotto. Hers was cooked to perfection and was good. But mine was the all star of the meal. And we came here for the dessert The banana crème brûlée. A must stop if you haven’t ate here. If you are a local or stopping though town it’s a great meal with a good atmosphere. Drinks are also on point.

Old, Tired, uninteresting menu. Not a good place but was recommended by a local. The steak salad was OK, but the steamed clams were awful. Buttery yellow sauce. Just not clean, healthy food. Something that was probably considered good in the 70’s. Needs a menu refresher!

Update: Everything is still amazing. The waiter who served us back in February either remembered us *in September* from that one and only visit, or their client info kept on file includes the waiter, and the waiter, if working, is informed. Either way, I don’t care — holy wow. He remembered us; we remembered him. That is excellent customer service right there! That little personal touch only reinforces repeat business from gey satisfied customers such as us. Bravo!

We, the Procrastinating Pedaler’s from Reno, 12 in numbers, dined there last night. The reserved Table was ready when we arrived. The service was spot on and attentive. Everybody’s food was delicious. A big plus was that we were able to pay with separate checks! Excellent!

Amazing food!!! Went here for a business lunch and was not disappointed. I had the Doc Dipper sandwich and the boss had fish tacos. Really excellent in both our opinions. Cost, after tip, was between 15 – 20 dollars. I will be coming back for sure.
