This restaurant has become hit or miss for my wife and I. The past few times it has been miss. Dined here last night and our server was very slow. My wife’s ribeye was over cooked and to be honest, didn’t look like a ribeye at all. My sirloin was cooked fine but lacked flavor, which made it just ok. Will probably not give this place another try for awhile.

Food was good. Floors not very clean. Long wait time. Men’s room had trash overflowing with paper towels all over the floor.

We are on vacation so we decided for a quick bite to eat we’d stop at a known restaurant. We knew it would be a long wait 45 mintues we were told. We waited 75. We asked to sit at a bar top table to get a few drinks, we were told no, however another group was allowed. I tried to ask the hostess who gave me some serious attitude why. Not to mention the reason for the long wait was reduced staff, I guess because 20 open tables and 5 members of the wait staff having lude conversations at the hostess station was more important. I also know far to much about that hostess sex life then I wanted to… Then she the proceeded to sit everyone else but us, even people that had arrived only 5 mintues ago. We didn’t get a waitress for 10 minutes who brought us our drinks with no alcohol. I had to ask another waitress for the manager because our waitress never came back to check on us. The manager knelt down beside me and started talking to me like I was a child. Have you ever ordered that drink before? Yes, actually I have it all the time in my home state. Do you know we have a restriction on the amount of alcohol we serve? I was so annoyed, I snapped, Yes and I know the difference between bourbon and ginger ale, oh and did you notice none of our drinks are garniahed? After the manager looked very embaressed, they sent back our drinks and sent out new ones that were 90% alcohol. My guess is they said shut him up, give him as much as he wants… Serving heavy pours is just as bad and no pours… I decided to to complain any further. We ate, paid, tipped the waiterss, who honestly didn’t deserve it, and left. I think I’ll stick to ma and pa places. They have all treated us better.

What has happened here? Until about a month ago we absolutely loved this restaurant and have been going here for years! A month ago we went on a Sunday afternoon and could tell something was not running smoothly — it ended up with my dinner finally coming without the rice which was a main part of the dinner! We thought it was because they had a very large party to attend to. We went yesterday(Sunday afternoon) and right away noticed a lot of new servers. Not only was the service slow but the meal I ordered what nowhere as good as the many times I had ordered it previously. Also the caeser salad was pitiful — it used to be one of the best you could have. We are so disappointed but don’t understand how it could go downhill so quickly.

As far as a chain, Non-Prime steakhouse goes, this place is probably as good as it gets. I like it much better than Outback. We came here on a Saturday night and waited 45 minutes, but that’s our fault. It’s busy. Parking was super easy and the waiting area was of ample size. We watched some hockey on TV and had a drink while waiting. By comparison, I found Outback to be heavy handed with the salt, at multiple locations I have tried. The steak at Outback was just ok. I do love Outback’s cheese fries, but when it comes to the actual meal, I’ll take LongHorn anyday. Don’t go here expecting prime steak, but come here expecting the best chain food steakhouse that you can get.

5 pm called told no wait Put in call ahead for family w disabled mom. Should up 15 minutes later and told there was a 45 min wait. Asked what the wait time would be if I wasn’t on the call ahead list and told the same time. Don’t bother service sucked as well.

Great place i go here sometimes and its got awesome food. i decided to be nice and give them 4 stars only because i know they have good food. But one word to describe how we were served is atrocious. Not pleased with our service the last time i was in there i mean holy shit. the waitress didnt bring bread at the beginning and she served our appitizers without any plates. can someone explain to me how the fuck your suppose to eat without a plate. The only things i was happy with was that the food was good and the hostess’ beard was fresh. and when i order and get my food she brought the honey mustard out first run which is what im happy about but she basically threw all the food at us at once and it was horrendous. i was pissed and i made sure i slammed the door when i left. but cool place, cowboy hats and the whole western style is awesome.

Although I live close by, I’d only been to longhorn a couple of times– and that was years ago. My mom and I decided to go since I was craving a steak. This review is a bit biased– I am a huge Outback fan and I was devastated when the Burlington location closed. So, I am comparing it to my beloved Outback. We went on a Monday evening on the early side for dinner so not many tables were taken. They brought us the complimentary bread(just okay, Outbacks is better!) I got the meal equivalent to what I would get at Outback: boneless ribeye, a vegetable and house salad. It was a good meal, but in every aspect Outback outdid them just a bit! I’d still go back, though. Oh and even though it was dead our waitress did not come by often, especially when we wanted to pay.

I brought a friend here to celebrate her birthday — it was a Sunday afternoon — not too busy, plenty of empty tables and a few empty booths. We were seated at the table right outside the kitchen in the far back corner. With several other tables available I should have requested a different table. Service was prompt. We were given plenty of time to place our order. Bread was brought to the table immediately. We ordered an app — spinach and artichoke dip. It was served with a scant amount of chips, later without us asking more chips were delivered to the table. For dinner we had 6 oz Parmesan steak with Caesar salad and asparagus. The salad was severely lacking — nothing at all remarkable, the steak — although cooked much redder in the middle than the medium we ordered was delicious as was the asparagus. What was interesting to note is that thru out our dining experience we each ordered the same thing but the portions were significantly different. We were handed the bill and told no hurry but we were not offered coffee or dessert — which we did want — it was a bday celebration after all. Here again each one of our slices of banana crème pie were significantly different in size. The star of the meal was the Parmesan steak — highly recommend! The 3 thumbs down was being seated at the kitchen and not being offered coffee or dessert and having to get the waitress’ attention to ask for coffee.

I love this restaurant!!! When me and my family want to go out we made up a chant for this restaurant and we all start singing it while we get in the car to go there. I would suggest the longhorn salmon and if you are not a fish person I would suggest the sirloin stake. For an appetizer I would get the Wild West shrimp!!! They have great drinks for the adults and a wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks as well. For desert they have seasonal deserts as well as the originals. The lava cake and chocolate stampede are delicious. This is a great restaurant!!!

We’ve been twice in the time this location has been open. Both times we have had burgers only and they have been good. Quiet Monday night and it took a long long time to get our 2 burgers. At $ 11+ per burger it was not worth it. Fuddruckers is better. Hate the«motif». The place looks warn. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Not a fan of the chain restaurants, especially steak places where everything can be covered by cheese and more fat. This place provides a sad view of the American diet and why obesity is such serious problem today. We saw it first hand the night we «dined».

Terrible experience but so far only in Boston area. I go to Longhorns a good point during my travels and Boston area service is just lacking. I went on a Monday night and it was roughly 40% seated seats. So not busy. Waited 15 minutes before I ordered my drink. Then appetizers and salads came out. No issues there except for an extra salad that none of is ate anyways. Our meal comes. One order was suppose to be a full order of the Chicken Tenders and not the«lite» order. Waited 10 minutes to get that fixed. Another order had double fries and that took 10 minutes to fix. Two steaks were suppose to have onions and mushrooms and it came out 5 minutes after our plates were served on s small side dish. Poor service. Food was decent but not what I have experienced from other Longhorns. Done with Longhorns in the Boston area.

I can’t think of a single negative thing to say about eating at Longhorn. I’d never been to one before and wanted to take my mother somewhere new(she tends to really like the 99 and well, I’m a bit sick of taking her there…). Great menu. So much choice for all aspects of the meal. We both went with the 3 course for $ 12.99 steak meal. Oh, and blackberry iced tea. Yum. I ended up getting the steak with the cinnamon sweet potato(wow, just wow — you must try it) and instead of a salad, I got the broccoli. I was impressed with how tender and just delicious the steak was. Cooked to perfection. The portion is small but with the rest of the food it’s just the right size. I went with the dessert instead of the appetizer and it makes me giggle to think the desserts are listed as small when they are the absolute perfect size for one person. I got the banana crème pie. OMG. Seriously, fantastic. My mother tried the carrot cake lava style and was similarly impressed. I really will have to go back as everything was so fantastic.

An above average chain restaurant with decent quality food. To begin with, I wouldn’t expect too much from a chain. The menu in my opinion is fairly priced. Their steaks cost slightly more than other chains, but I presume better quality steaks are being used.(It’s also technically a steakhouse, hence the name.) There are occasional specials every few months, even advertised on TV. I actually prefer this location than the one near Fenway. I’ve also been lucky to not have major issues with the service. I will comment that food does take a relatively long time to come out. Maybe they should work on that.

I have now dined here a few times, and honestly I have to say, that I have never been disappointed once dining here. I actually go here for when I want a good steak and great service. Last night I wanted to try something different other than steak, and decided to order on the seafood side of the menu. I ordered the Grilled Citrus Salmon which was part of the Chef’s Showcase menu. I honestly have to say I was quite pleased with the presentation and how fresh the fish was. I now know that having both steak and seafood options on the menu, that I can come to LongHorn Steakhouse for either steak or seafood options. The décor is really a nice touch also as well for a country style fan! I particularly like the country music they play while guests are dining. I also really am a fan of the Longhorn bulls, and seeing that they have one in the dining area of the restaurant on the wall is a great experience every time for me. The staff is always professional and I have never had a complaint once with my waiter or waitress. My waiter last night Mike was incredible! He always came around and made sure that my dinner was prepared correctly and that I was enjoying it. He was also very personable, professional, and courteous. Thanks Mike for a great dining experience!

It’s a chain, yes, but when you’re hungry you deal. Bar service is pleasant and always remembers my order. Table service is a bit more hit or miss. The food quality is also spotty. Sometimes you can get a perfectly cooked steak, but more times that not, it’s overcooked. It shouldn’t be so difficult to get a medium rare steak in a place that specializes in steak.

Romantic candlelit dinner at home began with two take-out filet dinners at the Longhorn. The filets were tender and cooked exactly to our requests. Be aware when they say 6 ounce filets, they will be 6 ounce. If you are hungry, move up to the 8 ounce. My baked sweet potato and broccoli were cooked perfectly. My wife’s asparagus was soggy by the time we had it home so broccoli will be the vegetable of choice next time. Big improvement in their take-out process. You now go to the check in desk and they deliver your food and complete the transaction. Very smooth and were right on with the 25 minute food ready time. The old process where you waited for your takeout order at the bar always felt weird as you invaded people space drinking and eating there. Very enjoyable take-out experience and will be back.

My family and I decided to give Longhorn Steakhouse in Reading one more shot. We’ve had bad service, under/over-cooked food and a variety of other unpleasant experiences in the past few years. Actually my wife and I don’t even come anymore but my grandmother enjoys the food so we are more than happy to deal with this place for her sake. But after tonight we are through. It actually started out well. We called ahead for a table of seven and they had it ready for us right on time. We ordered our meals and appetizers and the waitress was quick to bring out our drinks. Knowing the usual incompetence of the place, I ordered a cheeseburger and jokingly said to myself, «well, at least they can’t screw that up». Guess what happened? My medium cheeseburger came out with bacon(which I didn’t order) and onions on it(which I definitely didn’t order). It was also rare(it moo’d). My wife’s medium-well filet came out medium rare. My mom’s rare steak came out well done and my brothers medium-well filet came out medium rare. It’s quite obvious the cooks have zero idea how to cook a steak. As I mentioned before, this is not the first, or second, or even third time this has happened. A steakhouse… that does not understand how to cook… A STEAK!!! We told our waitress and got a quick little I’m sorry and we didn’t hear from her again. We called the manager and she asked if we all wanted our meat thrown back on the grill. Seriously??? How long have you been managing kitchens? At the end of the day, the manager comped every meal we complained about. That was nice but I’d rather pay for decent food than be comped for crap food. Please, do like the rest of Reading is doing and avoid this place.
