I’ve been coming here for years. Free salads n chips. Great filling lunch special selections from $ 6.50 to under $ 7.75 which includes the drink. Quick service usually on n out within 30 – 35 mins.

I love this place, my boss and I go to sit down and eat here at least 3 – 4 times a week and they’re always pleasant. The food is TOP NOTCH and we get the best service here. Always accommodating and the prices are MUY BUENO! We trade off paying for each other cause it’s such good food and great pricing. I would recommend the place to everyone that is looking for BOMB mexican food in the Ontario area. It’s kinda hard to locate at first cause you have to turn into the Cardenas parking lot and it’s sort of got some low palm trees blocking it if you look from the street, but once you find it… welcome to Mexican Food heaven. Would give a million stars if I could.

Service was alright. Nice place… but I ordered a ½ piña which is normally spicy… but when the waitress asked if I wanted it mild I said yes. When I got it, there was no mildness to it. They had completely added tons of ketchup. Sorry, but it was disgusting!!! Never had I had it with ketchup. Seafood and that much ketchup doesn’t mix. It was super sweet. No spice regardless of the salsa or hit sauce added. It was inedible. Besides the place is nice. Nothing special though sad to say.

This has been my «go to» Mexican restaurant for more than the last twenty years. Patty and Gilbert, the owners, are truly fine people, and Gilbert is a GREAT cook! The servers, too — especially Lisette — are charming, helpful and friendly, and everyone I know who has ever been there feels like they really want you to enjoy your meal and the whole restaurant experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and «clubby» and lets you know, from the moment you walk in, that you are welcome and free to stay, talk, and enjoy your meal for as long as you want (that, incidentally makes it the perfect place to hold a casual business or other meeting, and we do so regularly.) All of the food is great (especially the mariscos that they’re famous for, including the best shrimp cocteles I’ve ever has anywhere!) and I love their posole, their tacos (both soft and hard shell (carne adovada and carne deshebrada are my favorites). I love their chile verde, too, especially with nopales added. In fact, on the issue of asking for or adding things, if you want something and it’s not on the menu, just ASK FOR IT and the odds are that, if they can, Gilbert or one of his helpers will make it for you, probably better than you’ve ever had it before! This is a wonderful place, with great food, great service by friendly and charming people, and VERY modest prices. Try it; you’ll like it!

$ 1 taco tuesday very good tacos. Use to have $ 8 pacifico beer pitcher special. Fresh chips and salsa is to die for. Hidden gem. Needs a fave lift but its ok. Fresh Mexican candy. Waitresses are nice. Ceviche toastadas are good. Over priced though.

This place has always had good service but today was not the case. Myself and some friends went to lunch today and when we got there we were not greeted nor even acknowledged by staff. Finally when we did get acknowledged it was by a young silver haired girl with a nose ring, long tacky nails, caked on makeup that was very rude. She took our drink order and didn’t come back until I flagged her down and told her that we were at lunch so if she could please take our order that would be great. She just looked at me and said ok then took off somewhere else. Finally she sent over another lady who was just as rude which was surprising because she is usually very nice. Our order was taken and we waited another 35 mins for our food to come out. By that time our lunch was over and we had to take our uneaten food to go. I was so embarrassed because I had told my friends how good this place was and the service too. I will never again be back at this place which sucks because the food is half way decent. Oh well their loss and just a tip for the silver haired girl that was so rude if you don’t want to work in customer service find a new gig and remove that nose ring it looks so gross just hanging there like a booger.

Stopped by for breakfast, had the machaca and eggs, service was good and food came quik, beans were great/​wifey and I ate for less than $ 20–

I have been fortunate enough to experience nothing but wonderful customer service when coming here. We discovered this place during Lent when scouring for seafood places. This is our new favorite lunch spot. I have tried numerous dishes and have yet to be disappointed. The micheladas though *swoon* sooooo good. I make sure to get one every single time I’m here.
I’ve tried:
shrimp cocktail: lots of big, fresh shrimp perfect taste, not too soupy
shrimp ceviche: again lots shrimp, served spicy with fresh jalapenos mixed in along with cucumber, tomato and onion
camarones a la diabla (spicy shrimp plate): lots of shrimp in a wonderful spicy but slightly sweet sauce served with rice and beans and your choice of soup or salad, and flour or corn tortillas. The salad is a standard premade salad. The soup is a wonderful veggie soup, with carrot, calabacitas (squash), onion and pototoe. The soup itself and the broth are delicious. The beans are made with lard, and make them so tasty.
tacos (for the gringos, street tacos): i’ve had the asada, chorizo and chicken. all were decent, tender and flavored well.

I prefer the Ontario location, but this one is still good. The lunch specials can’t be beat. I love the Flamingo, and the enchiladas. Their salsa is freshly made, and never tastes the same between visits, but is good. The service can be sparse, so speak up if you need something or you will wait a long time. I recommend their ceviche and their shrimp cocktail, but I’m too stuck in my lunch specials to get them that often.

This place has horrible service and the food is not very good average at best find another place to eat.

This place has horrible service. The customers are ignored and the food was awful! The servers have a bad attitude towards the customers. I had to send my food back. Grossed me out. I will never be back to this joint!

Go there if you want the best mayonnaise taco in town. I ordered a shrimp taco and asked them not to put the mayonnaise sauce over it but they did anyway. When they brought it over and I saw it had mayo, I tried to eat it, I didn’t want to be «that» customer. I took two bites and couldn’t eat the rest; it had 2 shrimp and like 3 tablespoons of mayo. To top it off they charged me for it even after I told them I couldn’t eat it cause it had too much mayonnaise.

Although the food was good, chips were warm, service was friendly, I gave this review three stars because of the lack of service on the drink refill. Waitress walked by while taking items to another table and in the way she asked if I wanted more ice tea when she saw my cup empty which I responded with a ‘yes’. Six minutes later she came by and took the cup. In the mean time I’m eating my food, so far for six minutes with no drink. She serves other tables and four minutes later she brought my drink! I was done with my food by then. With the other waitresses walking by either of them could have helped out and refilled it thus shortening down my wait time. Again, good food… just need some team work to have all keep an eye on all drinks to all tables. Or assign a bus boy to do a walk through. Just that little step will reflect positively.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! I recommend going in the evening, the good waitresses work in the evenings — they are funny, fast, very friendly to my kiddos! On Tuesdays they have soft tacos for a $ 1! and on Weds they have hardshell tacos for a $ 1 and I think Mondays kids eat free after 4pm!
Food is great, rice can’t be beat! I recommend the guacamole it’s fantastic!

Something, and I can’t quite put my finger on it, but their salsa formula seemed to have changed in the past year. All my coworkers agree. As a result, we’ve not been coming back as often. We’ve made it known to the staff that we’ve noticed, but nothing has changed. Down 1 full star. Food is still good though

Used Gilbert’s «Taco Man» service for a party. They were timely, courteous, and polite. The presentation was nice, with a serving table, linens, and taco bar with two staff. Although the meat was cooked at the restaurant and reheated on site, it was flavorful and fresh. They provide a great basic package with three salsas, chips, quesadillas, grilled onion, peppers and the usual onion, cilantro, lime, and radish. Plenty of food throughout the evening and enough for leftovers.
We have hired or been at many functions with various taco man services and I definitely rate this one in the top few for cost, taste, and value.

They have the food I want here. I can’t say their service is bad… but I just don’t feel they care. They can be prompt, but their facial expression were just dead. I tried to smile to them, and tried different way to warm them up, no work.
The food were good, I just don’t really like the atmosphere here, I don’t feel welcome. I come to this place when I am really craving for Mexican Seafood.

This place is a few minutes from my office and found it on Unilocal.So I decided to stop in at lunch and give it a shot.
Service: We were greeted as soon as we walked in and were told to sit where we pleased. The waitress took our order right away and brought us some great chips and salsa.
Food: My friend and I ordered the shrimp cocktail, it was fresh, clean and full of flavor. The wonderful chips and cocktail mesh good together. The beers nice and cold, that’s always good. The shrimp, nice size and they where not shy on the amount of shrimp in the cocktail.
I will definitely try this place again and recommend anyone that wants a great shrimp cocktail to try this place.

Nice little hole in the wall that is very clean and bright. The ladies servers are nice and attentive and speak English too.
The 7 Mars soup is savory and full of fresh seafood. A nice start to a cold mid morning or a hot one if you like sweating it out.
The cold seafood cocktails are also great, fresh tomato taste with lost of bit size sea morsels and fresh avocado.
The tostadas of ceviche (fish or shrimp) is the way I go. Not too salty or acid’y, with a balance of fresh, tomato, onion and cilantro and everything diced the same size, making every bite the same. Just a great light fresh start to any day.
I love it here, I consider myself a regular.
