We’ve been to this location a few times because it’s always the «nicest» in the area, but the food areas were always messy and the food was never that great — but the Kid loves it, so we sometimes come back. Has definitely been revamped and looks great! Unfortunately, the food is still meh. The best thing was the meat loaf but the ketchup they use for the topping is a bit too tangy for me. The ranch salad dressing was not good and a lot of the lettuce was old/wilted. The mashed potatoes are okay, a little overly creamy. The mac and cheese was really good. The stuffing is gross. The fried shrimp was good but not very warm. The best is always the desserts. We had a fairly large party and the service was fantastic. We all left full, but not very satisfied.

Had not been here for quite a few years… Should have stayed gone! Food is disgusting to say the least… Elmer’s glue passes for mashed potatoes, wet sawdust for stuffing and pea size shrimp for popcorn shrimp… Fried chicken in old oil… NEver Again!!!

My daughter and I went this afternoon. We hadn’t eaten there in a couple of years and were very disappointed. Although any food that was cold, such as salads and dreserts were fine, any food that should have been hot was not even lukewarm. I spoke with the manager about it, but never heard back from him. I did expect some type of explanation, so was disappointed. I even asked if it may be that we got there close to their opening and the food had just been set out that that may be the reason, no response. I can’t see us ever going back again.

They raised 3 dollars on no good foods. it was used to be around 10 after tax for lunch. With 3 dollars increased, I was expecting lot better. Guess what? The food got worse than ever. Grilled chicken was very dried out, sweet and sour chicken tasted like cardboards, beef stew (I think that’s what it was because it looked strange) was really salty, and ground beef for taco was too greasy and mushy. Only food I liked was the sausage and that’s it. Save your 13 bucks and eat elsewhere.

Okay so I know my 4 might be a little high, but I thinks it’s well deserved. Every staff member we encountered was very pleasant from the staff clearing the tables to mgmt. I was able to feed all my cravings at once chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn dog and chocolate chip cookie who can complain? Staff constantly refreshed food items and nothing sat long at this location. If something was running low a swift notification was given to the kitchen.

We went and had pot pies that were out of this world! Several times staff members came by to check if all ok.
The restaurant is kept in tidy and professional condition. I also appreciate how the carpet is clean and not stained with grease, like some restaurants are.
The night we went also had delicious steak and turkey. I recommend their Cinnebons and other pastries.
Manager (I think called) Pedro was very attentive and did several walk-thrus to be sure restaurant was in order, etc. I would definitely recommend this Home Town Buffet.

I recently moved to the area and my parents suggested this location. I really like this location friendly staff it’s not as packed as the other locAtions and not to mention cleaner. Today we waited in the front and they had opened ten minutes late due to an electronic difficulty. My dad had some words with one of the workers about not updating people who was waiting outside about why they were opening late. Well my experience has always been great with workers here including the manager.

I honestly don’t understand why most buffet restaurants have such low ratings on Unilocal… people are so irrational and whiney when it comes to rating buffet restaurants. I’ve learned now to not ever trust buffet ratings on here.
I’m giving it 5 stars because I’ve been to Hometown buffet several times, and the food taste, quality, and options/selection are always great for the price.
As with most buffets, the amount of food you receive for the price is such a great value.

I went here because my mom wanted to get all you can eat baby back ribs. They were the worst ribs I ever seen and ate.
I remember when I was younger the desserts and salad bar was decent. Not anymore everything is overcooked or undercooked.
I know you get what you pay so I’m not really complaining. Just let you guys know.
The customer service deserves 5 stars. But the food 2 stars.

I have to say I’m completely surprised at how good this food is here. I’ve always been leery of buffets because of the type of food they offer (mostly high carb, high fat) or how long the food sits out. But, not this buffet. Everything I tried was really good and they had many healthy options to choose from.
I’ve lived here my whole life and never stepped foot into this place. I thought I’d give it a shot tonight since kids eat for only $ 1.99 on Thursdays and they love it from the times they’ve gone with my parents. Let me just say that I will be back every Thursday night when I have my girls and we are in town. Easy on the wallet and no dishes… SOLD!

Thursday Lunch Hotspot. I haven’t been to Hometown in a very long time. The food was flavorful, fresh and unlimited options. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Martha, Sarah, John and Miguel were helpful, friendly and courteous.

I ate here well visiting my brother, in Fontana. My first impression was the place was very dirty!
The tables were not clean and there was food on the floor, under the tables. No one was taking care of the floors
Their plates are worn and need to be replaced.
The food tasted good. the roast beef was very nice.
However, in the back of my mind I wondered how clean the kitchen was considering the condition of the dining room.
I have given this restaurant 3 stars because the food was fairly tasty.
If you go here, I would suggest that you look at your plates and silverware closely for possible contamination.
I called Fontana from Las Vegas and notified management of the issues of this post; Hopefully, they listened?

Food was better today. Only complaint this time that a heavy set guy was Farting in the booths behind me which ruined my appetite for dessert. Luckily I was already done with dinner.
The manager on duty was really friendly and answered all of our questions about breakfast.
If you’re planning on coming make sure you sign up for their program and they’ll text you offers which saved me money tonight.
