The food took a long time but the waitress was very friendly. I ordered the garlic fish which was excellent. My husband had the cheese enchiladas which was average. This was lunch time on a Sunday and there was a constant flow of customers. Maybe extra cooks or wait staff is needed.

Wow! I have been in Ramona for 3 years and my husband and I are always complaining about the Mexican food in this town. Whenever we need good Mexican we have to go down the hill. Boy have I been missing out. Tried this place today and it was amazing. Of course we looked at the review and decided to try the molcajete. It was amazing! A little too spicy for me but since they make it fresh I know next time to ask them to not put the jalapeños in it. It’s too bad I just had surgery and could only take a few nibbles otherwise I probably would have devoured it. My husband also just loved everything from the main dish to the beans and rice oh and we got fresh guacamole with our chips and salsa and it was great our 8 month old baby also enjoyed it. We will definitely be here again. I think this place should be on one of those food shows. It’s not the best interior and they really need a sign or something but the food was amazing!

We live in Ramona and try Reveles last Friday night. Initially it went well. Victor sat us down, very attentive. We ordered guacamole with our chips, two small glasses of water and a XX beer. Victor said if we needed more chips please feel free to ask. There was one other couple in restaurant. We ordered the carne asana and the carnitas. Victor stated that the carnitas where chunks which, we prefer cause that keeps the meat juicier. Victor brought out the plates in reasonable time. The carnitas was shredded and a little dry, the carne was a steak and I will say very tasty. We saw around 5 more couples show up. That’s when the service stopped. No one ever came by to see how we where. Both waters where empty with the bottle of beer and never refreshed. Other waitress would walk past and never even looked. Even the bus boy walked past twice. Like i said both plates, empty water glasses and beer bottle sitting at the edge of table. My wife had to go up and ask for the bill, water and a box to go. He gave her a box and told her that he would be over shortly. 10 minutes later Victor comes by with the bill and no water. Initially i thought I would have another beer but not was provided the chance. The food was good but without the service we will not be going back. $ 5.50 for the little amount of guacamole may have been a bit much. I will say the beer was cold, maybe a glass, being in a restaurant and all. The place is a it run down. Too bad, being locals we really wanted this to work. Luckily there are other Mexican restaurants in Ramona. When we go out to a sit down restaurant we are just looking for service. Hope that helps.

We have been coming for almost 10 years and love it. The service has always been above and beyond… even when we’ve seen unkind and impatient customers. The food is authentic and very tasty.

The lady was rude to us, served my wife and friend a Margarita s that were horrible, then wouldn’t take them back. Food finally came 1 plate at a time in 10 min intervals, we asked for hot carrots and got them, only to find out when we got the bill they were 6 dollars, my tortillas looked like they had sat out for a day or two beans had a thin layer of crust on top .This place sucks, we will never go back .

Best as I can figure out, Casa Reveles is Spanish for«House of Revolting Food.» This is disgusting. They advertise«Mexican & Seafood,» but you better not have seafood, that’s for sure. The octopus cocktail was way old and tough octopus meat submersed in some dishwater spiced up with a load of vinegar. It was vile and we sent it back to the kitchen. Even if the octopus had been fresh, soaking it in vinegar would have made it unpalatable. The fish Vera Cruz style was the saddest example of that dish that I can ever remember eating. Seemed like a very tired, frozen fillet which was sauced by dumping some ketchup on it. Arfff… To boot, the corridor down to the washrooms was downright scary; it felt like we were in some horrible place. You get to see the kitchen on the way, and that was a filthy mess. The waitress was pleasant, but we even had to grab our cutlery from another table, since we didn’t want to eat with only our fingers. Please don’t go here if you’re coming to see a show at the Ramona Mainstage. We passed by a Rubio’s about a mile before getting to the center of town. That should have been the place to eat. It serves 5-star food in comparison to this disgusting place. We live in San Diego, and have eaten at numerous tiny, hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurants. Most of them serve good-to-outstanding food, even in very humble surroundings. We have not encountered a single Mexican restaurant in SD itself which would serve vile food like this.

Went here for taco tuesday, $ 9.95 all you can eat tacos from 5−8pm. First plate comes with two tacos and rice & beans. Tacos were decent, chicken or beef. Chicken was kind of burnt but overall not bad for all you can eat tacos. But the star of the show was Victor. He is amazing, so polite and full of energy. At first it was kind of off putting how nice he was, cause you just dont get people like that in the service industry. 5⁄5 for Victor. Will come back for more!

made the mistake of coming here when Victor was not working.(It was a younger girl with dark long hair). When my husband asked for a new menu because there was salsa all over his, she snatched it out of his hand. No apology or anything. And when she returned with a new menu and he said, «thank you,» she walked away, no response… we both looked at each other and knew we needed to exit before one of us went off on her. Adiós casa reveles. It was good while it lasted.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Ramona. As so many other reviewers have noted, the food is fabulous but Victor is the icing on the cake. I had the Flautas(1 chicken, 1 shredded beef). Light, crispy with plenty of guac & sour cream! My wife had the chile relleno, which she uses as a gage to see how Mexican restaurants measure up. «Best I’ve had» was her comment. Top it off with low-cost Happy Hour cervezas and you have the makings of a perfect Mexican meal. Mexican restaurants are a dime a dozen but this one is pure gold.

This place is just average. I’d that… got the beef tacos which were bland. and the cheese enchiladas taste like the sauce is out of a can… and the xango had little cream cheese… boooooriiiiiiing… Still have yet to find a decent mexican place in ramona. Rather make a trip to Escondido or wait until I go «down the hill»

I have to say this is one of the best Mexican restaurants in San Diego county, if you are looking for authentic Mexican food! Reminds me of my grandmother’s, which was made with love and flavor! Victor, the server, is amazing! He’s always so polite and in such a good mood. He makes you feel so at home. It’s not like you’re eating in a «restaurant», with the warm welcome and awesome service! I’m always surprised how uncrowded this place is. It’s still fairly new. I’m not looking forward to the day that I have to wait for a seat, but know it will happen one day. This little gem will not be a secret in Ramona for too long. If you haven’t tried it, do it! You will not be disappointed. The prices are good and portions are huge. My husband and I typically share a plate and still walk out stuffed!

I was sent here to get their tacos and I was glad I did. Don’t let the very plain storefront turn you off, the food inside is great! I was the only customer in the place on a Sunday afternoon. Chips and salsa arrived immediately, the salsa was mild and had plenty of fresh cilantro chopped into it. The margarita at $ 8 was a huge bowl of ice, tequila, sour mix and other good stuff, a very nice house drink. Ordered the carne asada tacos which were deceptively simple: soft corn tortillas, chopped steak, chopped onion and a generous portion of guacamole, plus I added a squirt of lime juice over everything. Excellent flavor, very satisfying and a total bargain at $ 6 for two. Not entirely sure but the name seems to be Mi Casa Reveles. Alas I missed the famous waiter named Victor.
