This place is delicious and truly local. My buddy who is from Ramona raved about it and finally took me in. Great value and you won’t leave with any feeling except satisfied.

Started a tradition by hiking some mountain then coming down for some good Mexican food! This is definitely the best place around for some good Mexican food. They do have just about anything you are craving and are pretty quick to get it to you. Their polo as ado is quite amazing! Bold flavors, perfectly cooked chicken snd great guacamole to top it all off! Parking is off to the side or out back but there’s plenty of it. They do offer call ahead orders and do have plentiful indoor seating. So grab a chair, wait for the food to come and dig in! You earned it!

Best spot to grab Mexican food in Ramona. Try the carne asada burrito or the carnitas. Bomb stuff!

It’s sometimes hard to find good quick Mexican food. La Cocina delivers in a big way. Great food, great service. I’ll be back!

Loved it! We had the huevos rancheros and the two beef tacos. Both were super fresh, flavourful and delicious! Plus, you get complimentary tortilla chips! The service was really good as well! We would definitely come back :)

We walked by this place in the early morning before they were open, the smell of the corn tortillas stuck in our heads all day. We ended up coming back for dinner, absolutely delicious!

My family and I stopped for lunch and were not disappointed with the service and food. I had the carnitas burrito. The meat was cooked just right. I order it with no salsa. I like to add green Chile sauce which for me brings out the flavor of the pork. Worth the trip.

I decided to try this place after reading all the rave reviews, I’m not impressed. Service was good & place was clean but food was bland & the salsa sampler everyone is talking about is also just mediocre. 7.99 for my burrito that I wasted because no need to waste calories on food that isn’t good. Bummer…really wanted to like this place and actually walked all over Ramona looking for a good place to eat.

Pretty decent Mexican food in a very casual restaurant. We were in Ramona for another show at Ramona Mainstage, and needed a quick meal before a long night of music. My husband and cousin were keen to try this place, and I — not wanting to delay dinner and not wanting to cause a fight — acquiesced. This place was packed when we got there. There was a line at the counter, and almost every table was taken. We took that as a good sign, and pondered the menu while waiting for our turn at the counter. Once there, my cousin and I each ordered the special of the night(one flauta, one crispy taco with rice and beans), and my husband ordered the chile relleno plate. We found the only four-seat table and settled down to wait. In no time at all, we had a large platter of chips and a salsa sampler in front of us. That was a nice bonus — something none of us expected — and the salsas were good, to boot! Our food came out on styrofoam plates, with plastic cutlery and tiny napkins. Not that that mattered, as the food was pretty delicious and very fresh. The flauta was the star, in my mind. Crispy and filled with tasty meat, covered with sour cream, shredded lettuce and cheese. I didn’t really touch the rice or beans(I was full by the time I plowed through the equally yummy taco), but my husband said they were good. They came by to refill our drinks, ensured we were set on everything we could need, and just in general made us feel welcome. I can see now why the place was so popular, and why they got so many repeat customers.

I love this place! The food is huge and the prices are tiny! My Gf and I go there at least once a week for the Pollo Asado nachos, we both eat until we’re full and then take the rest home an I have it for breakfast! They must have a whole chicken breast in it! Great salsa and family atmosphere!

If you have not eaten here your missing out big time. This is the very best Mexican food in Ramona! Great family owned business with friendly service. Oh yes did I mention cold beer ? All the food is very, very good! I have eaten at this business for 20 years and never been dissatisfied . Wet shredded beef burrito/taco combo is one of my favorites. PS «Warning» You might need a nap when finished

As far as Mexican food goes, it’s very good. Ordered a bean and cheese burrito. The food was ready fast and brought to our table. Before hand, chips and a variety of salsa were brought to the table. All of the salsa was good, but the green was my favorite. Overall, food and service both good. In fact, halfway through we were asked if we needed anything more. So service was pretty awesome.

Always delicious and love snacking on yummy chips and the delicious homemade salsas while my food is prepared. Never had anything there I didn’t love. Great staff too. Been coming here for years and Lupe is fantastic!

I am going to start with the service. These are the nicest, most welcoming employees I have ever encountered. My son wanted to try the aguas frescas. The gentleman not only gave him a taste of all 3 flavors, he then mixed a couple varieties together for tastings. We were almost too full to order an actual drink. I was referred here because of a carne asada meat they do called Aeida(?). Sounds like i-e-da. It was the tastiest carne I have ever had. My buddy ordered the same thing and said the same as well. Not only was the carne great, the burrito packed cheese and a great pico inside too. Their chips and 3 salsas also hit the spot. My son had a breakfast burrito and loved it. I have found my new favorite Mexican food place, I only wish it was closer to home.

I had a very flavorless California burrito from here. There is no salsa bar(salsa is given to you in a tray with three different flavors that aren’t that good) and the place is a bit dirty. Girl behind the counter was very nice, but unfortunately it’s going to take more then that to get me to return.

Just tried this out the other night for the first time and am happy to have found a new taco shop that stays later open than most of the other ones in town. Service was awesome — super friendly staff and great food!

Everything was prepared well, tasty, and the restaurant has a cool old town vibe. The lady who helped us was really nice, had worked there for 34 of the 35 years they have been open! Nice little set of 3 tasty sauces accompanying(free chips). Hubby said his chile relleno was outstanding, and my cheese enchilada was good as well. We’ll be back! BTW one of the local Ramona newspapers often has a coupon…
