Food was decent to good but I’m miffed that they charge $.75 for water. And they don’t even tell you they do it. Weak sauce.

Awesome pizza and subs. Quick service and friendly staff. I eat there a lot for lunch and everything I have tried is very good. Price is reasonable.

This place is literally across the street from our office and I’ve only been going here out of convenience, not because the food is good. The salads are super lame but I’ve kept going back because it’s close… but no more! Today I ordered a salad to go when I had back to back meetings and I said I’d pick up in a ½ hour… it took me a little longer to pick up than expected, I was there in 1hr 15 minutes and they THREWMYFOODAWAY… THEN… YELLEDATME saying they were losing money and basically were just overall jerks!!! Um! No thanks dude. I will never go here again and I will tell everyone in my office to stay away. Good riddance. Who runs a business like this? Stay away unless you like to be served by people with a major attitude problem.

I’ve only ordered delivery from Sami’s, so I can’t comment on the establishment. The pizza, however, is fantastic. I managed a Mellow Mushroom almost a decade ago and I’m pretty damned picky about my pizza. I’m not sure if Sami’s cooks via conveyor or brick oven, but the pies and calzones have the flavor of bricked pizza – which is some very special indeed. The mozzarella is very good – little grease, cooks evenly, and doesn’t brown excessively. The pepperoni is likewise high quality: peppery, savory, and bites cleanly. All vegetables have been fresh and tasty. The dough is somewhat bland, but it cooks well, rises nicely, and has a good texture. It’s very obviously hand tossed. My orders have always been perfect with no complications and service has been speedy – no more than 45 minutes, even on a Saturday afternoon.

Off«the beaten path» in NW Raleigh. Plenty of indoor seating, some outdoor seating. They have a full menu. Some features: pizza, sandwiches, wings. They serve wine and beer. They deliver too. Nice spot.

Not having time to cook and being new to Raleigh, I relied on Unilocal to help find a decent pizza place. I will admit(as I did in previous reviews), I am a pizza snob. I ordered a couple of pizzas, meat & white and am happy to say that the 4 star average given by previous reviews was warranted. The crust was light and flavorful. Toppings were excellent and the white pizza had the perfect amount of ricotta. I will definitely order from Sami’s again! So why didn’t I give it 5 stars you ask? Did you forget already??? I just told you that I am a pizza snob:)

Formerly known, pizza Italia. There is a slight difference. I enjoyed the food from pizza Italia. The sauce on the pizza taste a little different. Overall, the food is okay.

This review is based on the two orders I placed for delivery. The star is for the delivery speed, because everything else made me fail to understand how this place keeps its doors open, and Sami’s food doesn’t deserve a star. The 8″ Pam’s Premium Burger Sub looked like dog food and didn’t taste much better. The meat was poorly seasoned and over salted. If you’re going to call something a «burger» sub, the meat should come in patty form, not just a pile of poorly seasoned ground round on a bun. Their pizza is the worst I have ever ordered in my life. Aside from it being round and visibly having ricotta on it, the White pie I ordered only vaguely resembled a pizza. The Sami’s Cinnamon Sugar Bites are just leftover pizza dough baked with cinnamon and sugar on them which arrived cold and chewy. This is one of the three or four places that delivers in Brier Creek, which is the only reason it is still open, and I found that out within two orders.

With 13 Unilocal check-ins I guess I’m due to write a review. This 4STAR Pizza/Sub shop is in a small somewhat hidden strip mall located in an industrious and business based area. I always get the 2 slices special: «2 Cheese or Pepperoni with fountain beverage for $ 5.55 special»($ 6 even after tax). This is a convenient lunch stop for me when I’m in the mood for a couple of slices. I’ll start with the most important part of any pizza, the crust! This crust has a somewhat crisp bottom, a slightly crackly exterior, followed by pillow’y air pockets, and finishing with a chewy warm handle. This crust is a little thicker than your average NY style. The sauce is mildly seasoned. It’s not spicy, not too sweet, and with notes of sweet basil(?). It’s an adequate, almost generous portion of sauce. No breaking news in the cheese department; traditional pizza cheese. You order it at the counter, fill your cup, pick 1 of about 12 tables to sit at, and they will bring you your slices about 2 – 3 minutes later. Careful not to burn the roof of your mouth! I came here a few times before it was Sami’s. I believe it was called ‘Pizzeria Italia’. One of the original employee’s from the former pizzeria is still there working hard in the kitchen and delivering orders to the tables. He must have come with the building. Perhaps he carries the secret delicious dough recipe?! Besides previously mentioned nice employee, place is continuously getting improvements under new ownership: new(er) tables, freshly painted floor, newer soda fountain, etc. The health inspector was writing up a(95% point) sanitation score card while I was waiting in line to order. New owner is often seen coming in and out and keeping his eye on the place. I’ll be back for a 14th visit in a couple weeks!

Found Sami’s vai the«delivery» Unilocal app, Eat24. Sami’s — they’ve got a full menu, it’s easy to order, and using that new app Eat24 — it’s even easier. Pay for everything up front, they meet their stated times, the food is good —(though, being from CT I am partial to Neopolitan Thin Crust Pizza — Like Pepe’s, Sally’s, Modern, etc — but Sami’s full menu makes ordering out for delivery great, even spectacular — Let Mom have the night off — order from Sami’s. Friendly staff, good food — you won’t go wrong if you’re ordering out — no question about it.

They have the best Italian sub! The homemade Italian dressing is delicious. We’ve ordered a few times and they’re very fast and consistent. Enjoyed the breaded mushrooms too — really good and fresh. Definitely not out of a freezer bag! We’ll be back, for sure!

This lunch spot was close to where I was working and appeared to be the only local restaurant in the area. The food was okay and the service was good. If I am ever in the area again, I will likely return.

Was in the area on business for two weeks and inevitably ordered pizza to my hotel room. Semi sweet sauce, could really taste the fresh basil and herbs. Crust was doughy which I enjoy. Standard cheesing. Not fancy by any means but I did enjoy the pizza and ended up getting it again. Operated by northerners or as my colleagues called them«relocated yankees», I think that may be a good thing when it comes to making pizza.

Very good pizza and wings. We get delivery often but have also dined in a couple of times in the evening. The pizza has a good crust, nice and crisp with some thickness to it, but not too doughy. Always plenty of toppings. Pizza is neither too salty nor greasey. Overall, just a really good pie. Wings are substantial and tasty. The people who work there are very personable and we are glad to give them our business. Online ordering is a very nice feature also. We do a lot of pizza thursdays and samis has become our standby for that.

We really enjoyed the pizza here! Igor is the best! The white pizza has a wonderful taste, I love the fluffy crust with the perfect crunch! I go to Physical Therapy next door twice a week, I think I will be in trouble!

Did not like the pizza at all. I had high hopes when I walked in and saw Igor who worked there as Pizza Italia. They then proceed to tell me that they do not have garlic knots which is ridiculous because it was one of the best parts of the old menu. On top of that they then offer me a sub roll quartered with butter, garlic, and motz cheese as a replacement for the garlic knots. I’ve had better cheesy bread at Dominos(Which I think says a lot). Overall very disappointed, Pizza Italia had been my go to for the past 2 years since I moved up this way. I always knew it would be their fate as it was a horrible location for a pizza place or restaurant at all for that matter. Sami’s boasts«all Boars Head meats» but it didn’t help.

When you go into a pizza place look and see if they have a pizza oven or a conveyor belt. Pizza ovens take longer and consistently make better pizzas. Sami’s has a pizza oven which may be one reason the pizza here is very good. Other reasons may be that it is not greasy, there are a generous amount of toppings, crust which is not too salty or doughy and not newspaper thin, and a sauce that is not overpoweringly thick nor watered down. Another reason could be that the owners are consistently there making sure everything is done right. They deliver to the local zip code, which is a plus. If you don’t want a whole pizza there is a 2 slices of pizza and drink special and a sub/chips/drink special. Prices are reasonable and portions are large. Subs are 8″. There are about a dozen speciality subs to choose from with a choice of white or wheat bread. The subs are also fairly good with decent portions of meat. Sandwich price is about $ 7. Wings, calzones, pasta, hot dogs, salads and other side items like jalapeño poppers and onion rings are also menu items. Located near the airport near the intersection of Westgate and Glenwood Ave. Business location used to be Pizza Italia, appeared to have kept and improved the pizza and added subs. It is hard to find unless you know where to look. It is not actually on Westgate Rd. Turn on to Fidelity Blvd off of Westgate on the same side of the road as Westgate Chrysler/Jeep then turn right. It is in the office park.
