Crab meat & shrimp pasta was delicious but too consistent, you get tired of eating it half way thru the meal. My wife ordered a filet mignon but they said they ran out, so waiter offered a new york steak, it was perfectly cooked but had no flavor. Not a bit of seasoning, just bland. I asked for juice and the waiter said«sometimes we have juice and sometimes we dont, let me find out if we have it tonight» hilarious. This place is trying ti be 5 star restaurant and has potential but def need some work.

Such a disappointment when coming as highly recommended on Jan 28, 2016. Busy night so I was surprised that there was no wait and was seated immediately. But apparently they were out of several dishes and therefore available seating. Their claim to fame is shopping daily for the food. Apparently no one taught them how to manage the kitchen planning for the demand. This is out that is out that is also out but I recommend this. 5 mins later that is out too. Clams were cold and did not taste fresh at all. Actually I am now worries about food poisoning. So I was stuck with the seabass which is typically my favorite. But the fish came out at less then desirable temperature covered in this death by salt sauce. There were no veggies or sides… which also wasn’t disclosed because I would have ordered them. Instead there was some sort of risotto pasta dollop plentiful enough to feed a 2 yr old. Do I want a refill? How come my glass got to that point 3 times during the meal washing down all the salt? Yes I want a refill!!! Do I want dessert??? No I am heading somewhere else to eat dinner and then get dessert. Hopefully I don’t throw all this up for the next 2 — 3 day. Never coming back. Save yourself the trouble. I feel bad for those that planned a special occasion. They just sat a large party… wait until they hear everything is out!

Just had an outstanding dinner here. Our waitress Tracy was excellent… did a great job of reviewing the menu and making recommendations. My husband and I shared a salad which was encouraged. I had chicken Marsala … He had flounder francaise. Excellent meal… Will definitely be back.

Came here for second visit on my birthday. We were seated 15 minutes later than reservation despite arriving 15 minutes early. Table next to us received twice as much attention from server. 33 $ Delmonico ordered rare arrived burnt. Was not charged for steak but had lost appetite due to circumstances. Will not patronize this establishment again.

It’s difficult to find good food combined with excellent staff, Bruno’s meets this expectation. The bar staff(Jason) always make very good drinks well made well poured and well served. Bruno in the kitchen is fantastic interactive with patrons but constantly watching the quality which never seems to suffer. The food quality is always excellent he only serves fresh flown in fish and meat is the highest quality. If you want the best service you could ask for request Nino, a cohort of Bruno and one who will make you feel like a king and treat you excellently. He always remembers your name what you like and will always make the best effort for anything you wish. He also makes the absolute best Italian cheese cake aka Riggota pie. Hands down worth a great dinner all at a reasonable price for food of this quality.

Solid 4.5 great chix parmg sauce outstanding chix too thick but great meal Salmon was outstanding salads arugula salad excellent With out a doubt great meal and we will return Came back — dropped to three stars — -Pork chop was outstanding but didn’t have sauerkraut — disappointed. The Veggies — served with the meal are not great – the potatoes were not great either lacked imagination. Escargot very very good, the calamari-either over cooked or old oil – ill go with old oil since they were a bit greasy — have had way better My wife’s cosmo was bitter – which surprises me cause last time it was great — maybe just an off night —we will still come back… great little place

I have been a long time fan of Bruno’s and I still am, but I feel like they are slipping some. I’ve noticed on recent dining experiences, that Jason(the bar tender) is talking to much when they’re busy and therefore the service is slow. This was obvious at several tables last night. Also, I love the bread and garlic/oil dish that they normally bring you, but last night they brought us bread and when we ask for some oil, they responded by bring us a bottle of olive oil without a dish to pour it in(not their typical service). I genuinely hope that Bruno and his staff pays attention to the details because I enjoy this restaurant and I always recommend it to others. I plan on going back and as usual — the food was outstanding!

Very good food but was a little surprised/annoyed that they don’t have high chairs for kids. I know that is by design to persuade parents to leave the little ones home but once you arrive at the restaurant and realize there are no high chairs their plans can backfire. I could tell they were all staring at the child and concerned, but I would walk out with my child if they were being a nuisance. I did not have to do that. She stayed right on mom’s lap and was good throughout the meal, and the server said so, and the host even mentioned that when we were leaving. There is a better chance a kid will misbehave if you don’t have a seat for them, so I bet this will bite them in the ess! Good food, but poor management decision. Not a fan of snobs!

Bruno’s is the closest thing to a New York style restaurant in the area. Just returned from NYC and Bruno’s is definitely on the same level as one of the restaurants we visited. We didn’t have a reservation but after a 20 minute wait the hostess accommodated our party of five. Once seated, the waiter came over immediately and asked for our drink order, explained the menu with detail and provided a great wine recommendation. We all ordered something different… chicken parmesan, flounder, lobster ravioli, seafood linguini and lamb chops… all were awesome! Pick either and you won’t be disappointed.

This is a big deal to me!!! I have a top 5 list for best steak I’ve ever had. My wife and I like to travel, while traveling my mission is to find a steak that’s better that the ribeye at Beef Mastor in Wilson, NC. Well one day I was at work and I was ranting and raving about the best steak in the world is in a little town and in a little restaurant called Beef Mastor in Wilson NC. A co worker over heard me and challenged me and said Bruno’s was better. As soon as I got home to told my wife that a guy at work had blasphemy’ed Beef Mastor!!!(Seriously I couldn’t believe this guy said this to me) There was only one way to get to the bottom of this… Go to Bruno’s! I don’t think I waited 24 hours. I walked in knowing I was going to be disappointed… WOW! This ribeye’s flavor was AMAZING! My wife kept saying«well? well? well?» I felt crippled, I didn’t think I could say it out loud on my first visit but I knew it was better. I talked my wife into going to Wilson that weekend to go to Beef Mastor just to compare. We went and it was GREAT! Wasn’t better but it was GREAT! I knew in my heart that I had a new favorite. Just to make sure I told my wife again before I can say I have a new favorite out loud we’ve got to go back to Bruno’s to make sure they can deliver the consistency. We went back, I took 1 bite and it changed my life. Bruno’s has cooked the best steak that’s ever rested in my belly! The next time I saw the co worker that recommended Bruno’s I walked straight up to him and gave him a high five, he immediately knew why! I now live 3 hours away, but I still visit as much as possible.(The bar has been raised)

I don’t just«hand out» 5 Stars like candy, like some reviewers do. In fact, this is my only 5 Star review to date for a restaurant. And it is WELL earned. This review is based on my approximately 15 – 20 visits over the past 2 years. Everything that I’ve had at Bruno is literally THEEBEST of the that item I’ve ever eaten. «How is the oyster rock,» you might ask? The best I’ve ever tasted. «What about the crab cake,» one may inquire? Oh you mean the lump crab, no filler, succulent, perfectly seared and served with a lemon butter sauce, its only the best crab cake I’ve ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. Don’t get me started on the clam chowder, Chicken parm, seafood alfredo, Lobster fra Diavolo, veal chop, rack of lamb, soft shell crab franchese, fried calamari, grouper Tuscan, monkfsh in tomato cream, seared Ahi, ALL of which are ridiculously good and the best Ive ever eaten of each item, and I KNOW good food. But, where the rubber meets the road, I’m steak guy. And its HARD for me to get a steak in a restaurant that really revs my engine. I’ve had steaks at some of the best steakhouses and in various cities across the country. Let me go ahead and help you out — The Bruno Delmonico(ribeye, for the uninitiated) — is hands down thee best steak Ive ever had in my life. Bruno cut his chops as the head grillmaster at Peter Lugers world reknown steakhouse in NYC for many years before moving south and opening Bruno, so he knows what he is doing. Eating this steak is quite the joyous affair! Bruno serves ONLY Prime beef. It is seared over extremely high temps, getting a wonderfully caramelized crust whilst maintain a perfect rare-med rare interior.(If you order any more done than this… why are you even eating steak? Honestly…) This is knock-your-socks off quality and flavor. Cooking it beyond med-rare would be a travesty and an insult to me, Bruno, and the cow who gave his life to be a steak for you! The service has also been great, Jason the bartender knows how to make a good, stiff drink. The desserts are also really good. Ive tried several, but the stone cold killer is the key lime pie. I am NOT a key lime pie guy. Im more of a chocolate guy. But their key lime pie is absolutely out of this world, best you ever eat, guaranteed. Bottom line, go to Bruno! you will be very pleased!

Bruno’s meals are really 5 stars. We had Flounder Francaise and Salmon last night. It was prepared in way that allowed the awesome taste of fresh fish to shine. Not overspiced, not over garliced, just allowed the fish to be experienced, still thinking about the great meal from last night. Just celebrated 5 years at location. Two thumbs for that!

Wow I love this place! I brought my mother here today for dinner and I was really impressed. I had the crab cake and Lemon cake, both were amazing. The crab cake was not full of fillers and the dessert was to die for. We sat at the bar and everyone including the locals were really friendly. Thank you Jason for helping me choose the right glass of wine since this was my first time. My mom had the filet and she said it was perfection. I will definitely be returning!

I was very disappointed in this place. My husband had been here with people from his office, and they thought it was great. However, he and I went on a Saturday night around 8:00, and we didn’t have such a great experience. We were seated in a little room near the back, so we didn’t have much of a view, yet there was a window near us, so we were constantly distracted by people coming and going to the kitchen and bathrooms. It wasn’t a good vibe for intimate conversation, that’s for sure. After 15 minutes, our server came over. She asked if we wanted cocktails or wine, and we said we’d wait to see what dish we were having for dinner(for proper pairing). So she left, and we sat there another 10 minutes with no menu, no water, no bread, no server. Finally, my husband went to get the server, and she came over and told us that the reason we didn’t have a menu was because most people come in, have a cocktail, take their time, then the menu comes, people order wine, food, whatever, and things come out in courses. She told us this as if we had made the worst etiquette mistake ever by not knowing how to act in Bruno. Well, regardless, it would have been nice to have known how they expect things to go when we arrived, but regardless, when we did not want cocktails, our server should have given us the menu. Instead, we sat there awkwardly in this bad location wondering when the menu would arrive. We thought we’d been forgotten. Further, we had skipped lunch that day, so by 8:30 we were fairly hungry. When the food arrived, my husband and I were both underwhelmed. It was not anything special. But the bill was very special. In fact, I was pissed that we’d bothered to go to such an expensive place without first checking the Unilocal reviews, which are very mixed. I’ll never go back. I wish we’d complained to management, but really, I just wanted out of there because our waitress was such a snob.

Not impressed. The 12.50 appetizer sampler was teeny tiny. The chopped salad was drenched in dressing. The steak was tasteless. We had been there a couple years ago and it was much much better. Don’t know what changed but we won’t be back.

My second visit to Bruno’s last night. The first visit we waited 1.5 hours for our entrée while they pushed wine. My second visit was more disappointing due to slow service, cold food and a deafening atmosphere. When we requested service for our entrees after waiting an hour or more, my veal arrived promptly at room temp. on a cold plate. When I explained this to the waiter, he denied that it was room temperature. I assured him that it was and it returned microwaved. A party of 22 was seated adjacent to our party of four. They were having a good time and the noise level was deafening. I would assume they would seat a party this large in the private dining room in such a small venue. Complaints were voiced in the rest room by other patrons. Perhaps the staff was overwhelmed by the large party; however, I will not be back.

Terrible service. We waited 2 hours to get our food and finally, by 8:40pm had to leave because of other commitments. The clientele were geriatric(sorry but it is true) and we felt because we weren’t regulars we were treated subpar. Pass on Bruno’s

Bruno’s was recommended to me by two fellow coworkers, so I made a reservation for myself, husband, and four close friends for our valentine’s dinner. We made the reservation late so wasn’t surprised by the late time of 9:15. We were there early, enjoyed the bar area, and were seated a little earlier than our reservation time. At the bar my friend ordered a decaf coffee and was told«I don’t want to lie to you, but we don’t serve decaf coffee.» That is fine but why would you start by saying I don’t want to lie to you? Moving onto dinner. I ordered the $ 22 salmon. I was quite surprised to receive an extremely pale piece of fish. It wasn’t up to the quality I expected for the price tag. I could’ve bought a nice wild caught piece of salmon at Whole Foods with so much more flavor for a lot less! Not happy!
