Great food and awesome service all around! Staff was so helpful for my first experience here and hostesses and wait staff made me feel welcomed. Will come back!!!

We usually go for special occasions as we live in Raleigh. Great food and love that you can get smaller size plates for most items. Hush puppies are excellent and we always get a few batches. Atmosphere is like being at the beach. And love the patio and live music.

Ordered takeout for lunch, the mahi tacos were very good and flavorful. Would def order from here again. Also tasted the crab dip and hush puppies.
Thought the prices were fair and the food tasted fresh. Looking forward to checking out again.

Easy check in on a Thursday night. Lots of seafood choices. Thinking: why haven’t I tried it sooner. Ordered: half baked oyster Thermidor and Rockafeller. Stuffed Mushrooms, Ribeye 20oz. Free hush puppies. Fast appetizer served. Contemporary design and bar ambience. Good choices of drinks at bar. Bar type seats for Oyster bar. Very tasty Ribeye with enough fat cooked med well. Shrimp and chicken pasta good. Mac and Cheese very creamy and cheesy without being salty. Staff very professional, nice and attentive.

Great service, even when I pulled up to get an order, I was early, they came out and I never had to leave my car. Fantastic!

We love Shuckers!!! We are from Florida and I must say, the BEST oysters we have ever had have been here. Absolutely delish!

The ambiance is great, friendly employees, you feel welcome. Vegetarian options are lacking, my veggoes I did order had no flavor, and my housr salad was not the best. My date enjoyed his blackened chicken.

We we’re having a good time and stepped out onto the patio to smoke a cigarette. Then this employee named Carrie came out to tell us we couldn’t smoke on the patio cause it was covered and the fire marshal doesn’t allow smoking. Which I was fine with untill I saw the industrial heaters at the top of the ceiling. She completely bull’d us cause we smoke… sorry but the argument doesn’t fly when you have hot electrical heaters running.

It. Was just ok tonight, we ordered. Fried asparagus and. It was 4 or 5 pieces of fried stems. very fibrous.
The bacon wrapped scallops was cloyingly sweet.
Sirloin waz ordered medium rare and came medium which was my expectation so it was fine, most cooks hate to under cook to the extent they err in the over done.

Good service, great food, good drinks, but plan on waiting a ridiculous amount of time to be seated!
I had a reservation for 7:45pm on a Friday. I checked in with the hostess about 10 min. BEFORE my reservation. All parties were present. It STILL took almost 30 min. to be seated. If you can’t honor reservations or at least come CLOSE, Oh I don’t know, here’s a thought … DON’T TAKE THEM!

Busy on a Saturday night– expect a wait, but food was great! Oh My Gosh the OYSTERS were Wonderful! Hush puppies were a great appetizer for a large group. Very friendly waitstaff.

My wife and I came here for dinner. We drove an hour to get here and let me tell you it was worth it. Our waitress, Samantha, was very friendly and fast, and the food came out quick and was phenomenal. We started with the stuffed mushrooms, and ordered crab cakes and shrimp and grits for our mains. Everything was great and we’ll worth the money.

We are probably the only people around who miss the «old» location. Although, we’re also sure many don’t agree. Our service was very good and all in our party enjoyed the food, except for me. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits and wasn’t impressed; I didn’t care for the grits «cakes.» Also, for the price, I would have expected more shrimp; good thing I’d ordered a salad and wasn’t very hungry. Hush puppies were very good.

I had heard about this place through a reccomendation, after asking about a good seafood restaurant in Raleigh since I still hadn’t found one. The décor is beautiful, very upscale. Our waitress was exceptionally wonderful and attentive. Our food was even better. The portions were very generous especially for the price! They could easily charge more.

Ehh. About as good as a chain restaurant can get. Ok. Not an amazing experience. Kindof disappointed for the price. And the wine menu is lacking.

The Mahi fish with crab cake was good. The fish was flavourful but the seasoning did not overpower the original taste of the mahi mahi. Both the sides, coleslaw and fries, were lacking. However, the service made up and overall it was a decent dining experience.

I’m going to keep this short. Not good, not good at all.
This place is living on the memories of the locals who have come to believe they are getting good seafood at a good price. You are not.
This is quite possibly one of the top 10 worst restaurant I’ve at which I have ever eaten… wait ordered food at and then refused to eat. I’ve seen better food at truckstop buffets at 3 o’clock in the morning.
And, the prices. You have to be kidding me I can get better, fresher and cheaper seafood in Maine, Point Judith Rhode Island or San Diego.
As a newcomer to wake forest, I hope my feedback provide you guys with a dose of reality. You may have been great in the past but it’s time to rethink what you’re doing.

My favorite restaurant in Wake Forest. I usually order the oysters, and they are always fresh. They have a nice patio area to eat outside when it is warm. They give complimentary hushpuppies for every meal served with whipped butter. If you are looking for seafood, or a great atmosphere, Shuckers is the best restaurant in Wake Forest.

Shuckers is one of the go-​to date night places for my wife and I. Their prices are reasonable, portion sizes are pretty good, and their flavors are fantastic. I have tried quite a few things off the appetizer menu and have been happy with all of them. My favorite is probably their shrimp appetizer (much like a coconut shrimp). I often times will order the wrap instead of the appetizer (even as a starter) because the portion is a little larger and it comes with fries.
For meals, anything with their salmon is fantastic. I have had a couple different salads with salmon on it and have been very satisfied; also their regular entrée with salmon and rice and veggies is great too.
The atmosphere is the final thing I want to review. In the summer, I love to sit outside in their outdoor seating and listen to the live music. It really is a great way to spend a Friday or Saturday night on a date. It isn’t super formal but just enough so to make you appreciate it.
I can’t say enough good things about shuckers. I’ve been here a dozen times and plan on coming back a dozen more.

My wife and I both veterans received free meals which were generously offered at up to $ 20 per entrée. The service was good and the food was great. Big ups to Shuckers for being the best veterans day meal I’ve had since I’ve been out, we truly appreciate it.

First time here last Thursday. Food was okay… but definitely over priced for the quality and front of house could use some serious work! Walked in and wasn’t even greeted. The hostess looked at me blankly and two servers were standing in the door way of the server station (located next to the entrance) having a conversation. I had to ask to be seated even though there were 3 employees staring at me… Thought maybe it was just me but my husband and daughter came in about 10 min after me and got the same treatment. After working in the Restaurant industry for quite some time I couldn’t imagine standing right by the entrance and not greeting a guest when they walked in. The whole first impression was just awkward. Probably won’t be going back.

Ate here for dinner the other night and was really curious to try this place out since it came fairly well recommended by word of mouth… We had a larger group of people (12) and they gave us two servers which is awesome since I hate it when restaurants try and cram large groups onto one servers time. Anywho, the inside of this place was clean and neat as can be and we ordered some apps and entrees along with some wine and beers. I gotta say going off the service alone this place was a 5 star experience but the food I had was really really just «ok». I had their complimentary hush puppies which are never unwelcome anytime, the crab dip and their monster sized Shucker burger and some fries. With the exception of the french fries pretty much all the food tasted fine and all but it just seemed to be missing something. I’d love to try this place again since the menu itself looked very impressive so I hope next trip I can figure out something better to sample.

I was pleasantly surprised by Shuckers. I came here for a family dinner on a Saturday night and accomodated our large party of 13 fairly quickly.
They got our drink and food orders and handled with it ease. I really enjoyed my sangria. For appetizers, I got steamed oysters on the half shell and shared crab dip with my fiancée. The oysters were great and the cocktail sauce had a spicy kick to it. The crab dip and the toast points were delicious. Then for dinner, I had the stuffed crabcake mahi. I thought the mahi was just okay but I enjoyed the crabcake inside. It came 2 sides: coleslaw and a stuffed potato. I liked the potato more than the coleslaw.
Their menu had a lot of great options if you are seafood lover. Overall I had an enjoyable time at Shuckers, so 3.5 stars from me.

Amazing! We sat on the patio ordered the filet steak and a lobster tail on the side. Both cooked to perfection (med rare for the steak). My husband and I are not oyster fans, but still had a wonderful meal! The appetizer dip was great and the drinks were perfect! We just moved here and for our first visit was given a slice of key lime pie to take home. We had to try the chocolate cake too… Heaven! We will be back for another date night.

Love Shuckers!!! It’s our go-​to place for birthday and anniversary dinners!!! The atmosphere is inviting! It’s fancy without being too uncomfortable. And the food is always delicious!!!

Excellent place. The staff was friendly and the ambience was upbeat. The food was excellent– well seasoned and tasted real good. The portion sizes were enough to fill you up. I would definitely go back

The first time we visited was at their old location off the Capital Blvd Service Rd. We weren’t impressed at all and decided we probably would not return.
We have since gone back at their new location, the food it tasty, the staff is friendly and I’d say we go about 2 – 3 times a year.

Was OK overall. Nice place on the inside, service was real good. I had a bloody mary that was very good. Then the Ahi tuna was was nice and the grilled New Orleans style oysters which were just OK. Had much better in NOLA and probably cannot hold them to that. I think they forgot the parmesan cheese on them and not enough of the broth to soak bread in. Then I had the clam chowder which I expected to be New England but this was a little different. Not so creamy. Did not really have any chopped clam in it or there was very little. But it was OK. Finished with ½ dozen raw oysters on the half shell. They were OK. Pretty big and meaty but were not the best I’ve had. And oh yeah, the warm basket of fresh hush puppies and whipped butter were excellent. Overall the place was good and yes I’d go back again someday to try some other things.

Service: great! My water was always filled! And we were well taken care of :) the lady was super sweet and courteous. We left a nice tip. A customer nearby got really angry and the staff were quick to resolve the issue.
Food: even better! We had the sirloin steak and the barbecue ribs. Everything was really really great and the portions were pretty on point as we left feeling satisfied :) delicious and juicy are two words for the menu options.
Must try: the hush puppies are to die for! They come with any meal! Don’t be afraid to ask for second helpings.
Watch out for: Saturday night wait lines are a little crazy and get there early, parking can be tight! We waited 30 after being told it’d be 45. Place was hustlin!
I tried the grown up Mac and cheese
Not a fan, it was not as yummy as people have reviewed it to be.
The place is hopping long after the usual dinner times. The atmosphere is quite loud and a lot of the waitresses look too young to serve drinks. Some are serious about their job and others are not, don’t be afraid to ask for someone else if you’re not satisfied.

From the beginning we were greeted with professionalism and served a great drink. We waited for a table outside to enjoy the music and it was well worth it. We try the grilled oysters as well as the pick 3 (9 total oysters) and it was delicious. I recommend stopping by, it was overall a great experience and we will be back.

This place is EVERYTHING. Chargrilled oysters… Boiled shrimp. Buckets of steamed oysters. The best ever!
