This review is for«healthy kitchen». Great healthy food! I love that they list the nutrition info for each menu item. Quick service with plenty of options.

I try not to eat in my neighborhood. Everything is bland and boring. For 10 years, I drove past this place and never thought to check it out. Someone insisted I check this place out because they have a self serve ice cream shop that I would love. I wasnt interested in cheating on JP Licks with some random mini market, but I was forced to check it out. When I stepped in the place, the smell of BBQ chicken smacked me in face. Eyes wide open, stomach now growling, I danced past the yummy home cooked section, peeped the pizza café where you can create your own pizza and twirled into the froyo station. I was stuck in the topping section. Caramel, blueberries, butterscotch, oreo, cap’n cruch, strawberries, marshmallow, gummies, crumbled brownie, walnuts, kiwi, more drizzlies and candies that I can name. I went str8 for the tart froyo and went to town on my favorite toppings. Good, good, good. I picked my son up a dinner plate with bbq chix, mac n cheese and mashed w/gravy. He enjoyed it. The staff was friendly. Food, good. I’ll be back to dance around the froyo bar.

Excellent. They have froyo too. Polite staff that is helpful. And the food is great for fast casual.

Simple and delicious, not over complicated. It’s like the better version of Boston Market. Not to mention, self serve froyo. This place is a unassuming on the outside. Just go and try it.

You can’t go wrong here! If you want what would be considered a «home cooked meal», you go to the main part of the restaurant, you make your choice of a chicken dinner, or a fish dinner or many other selections, and then pick your sides you want, you get to pick 2 sides out of a choice of 8! Then right beside that section, there is the healthy section which is calorie conscience, carb conscience, and for a tease they have a yogurt bar! It is extremely popular in the warm weather! Across from the healthy food, they have salad bar, Italian food, which includes pizza, pasta and a lot of other foods! The Pizza is cooked right in front of you! And yes they have sandwiches, daily soup and sandwich specials! If you are hungry you can’t go wrong, very family orientated! Order your food to go or eat in! Most of the help are young ladies from the local high schools in the area from Milton and Quincy! The owner, Jack McDonald has been in the area for a long time, his son runs the business with him(includes the Common Market/Darcy’s)! His General Manager is Dicky Pitts, who is also well known in the community! People come back more than once a week! We are empty nesters, my wife gets home after 6:00, so we order from there at least twice a week! Try it, I am sure you’ll like it!

I had wanted to try The Healthy Kitchen for a long while. Stopped in recently and was immediately drawn to the smell of the chicken at this section instead(it’s a big, kinda open place with 3 different restaurants going on in here, the Italian place, the healthy kitchen, and this chicken place… oh and also a little convenience store). The smell was amazing and promising. However the food wasn’t as good as the smell indicated. It wasn’t bad, it was just disappointing. The mac and cheese side was great, but the stuffing was just wrong, all wrong. I know it will be hard to pass the smell by again, but I must. Because I really want to try the healthy kitchen and that epic froyo bar. Service was a little slow, but everyone was nice. It was very busy on a random weekday night.

We eat at Fish and Chicken fairly frequently. It’s a convenient concept for families to have variety from the different restaurants and cafeteria style. There could be lots of improvements made however. First, the girls that work the counter may honestly be the least intelligent people on the planet. It take 3 girls to put together one plate of food– I kid you not. That leaves the people who are either waiting to order or waiting for their food to wait and wait as they try to figure out how to put broccoli on a plate. Also in the evening there doesn’t seem to be any adult supervision of the staff and that could be the problem. Secondly, it takes forever for the food to be partially cooked at the Fish and chicken station. I’m not sure why that is as most of the food seems to be cooked in advanced. Healthy kitchen and the pasta station are much quicker. They may want to find a different food preparer. Lastly, it would be nice to have one place to order from all stations. It’s common that I get healthy kitchen, the kids get pasta, and maybe my spouse gets Fish and chicken… having to order separately is very inconvenient. Especially as some stations take longer to cook the food and you have to keep going up to see which one is ready. Perhaps if you order at one central location, you could be assigned one number and the girls at the counter could run the food to the table based on the number assigned.

Good food and good prices. There are healthy alternatives and a lot to choose from. Everything tastes fresh and is just like a home cooked meal. The yogurt bar is amazing too!

This offers a healthy alternative to fast food. If you plan ahead, it can be just as quick as other restaurants with ½ the fat and calories. I usually do that by calling in my order in advance and my husband finds it ready on his drive home from work. A quick bite in your sandwich shows just how perfectly ripe and fresh your veggies are. $ 6 – 7 for a wrap or sandwich is certainly on par with the competition. We like the buffalo chicken, grilled chicken & chicken salad. They lose a star for their limited selection. You’re probably thinking: «this place has everything!» Maybe that’s the problem. They have so much going on that they have nothing going on. They have fish & chicken. Then they have pasta. But they also have frozen yogurt. Maybe they would have a bigger fish & chicken selection if they didn’t have so much space dedicated to 2 other completely different food items. Because, when I go somewhere looking for a fish sandwich I’m not looking to compliment it with pasta.

Food is good here! It’s priced reasonably and good quality. My only complaint is some of the girls working are rude. Otherwise I enjoy coming here for lunch/dinner!

Great menu with everything less than $ 10. Food is delicious, plenty of parking spot. There is little wait time as the food is presided to order. The salmon and grilled chicken items are perfect for health conscious and gym going crowd. You have a lot of choices for the two sides including brown rice, steamed veggies, mashed potato and baked potatoes. Enjoy!

Great taste, served fast by nice folks. What more can you ask for? We had a couple different flatbread sandwiches — all were hot & tasty. Will come again for sure.

I stop here when I want a quick healthy meal. I usually get the«Grilled Chicken Entrée» which comes with two sides(sides are labeled gluten free). I like mixed veggies and brown rice. The chicken is always juicy and cooked to perfection. The vegetables are nothing fancy… Basically seem like previously frozen, steamed veggies. The rice is super buttery, but I don’t mind :). One time the rice was crunchy/dry like it had been sitting out all day(that was only 1 out of the 5 times I’ve had this meal though). Quick, friendly service. Cafeteria style, nothing fancy.

So yummy and filling. Prices are great. I love how you can get dinner and dessert next to each other. One down fall is the customer service. The young girls there don’t smile and were very rude. I had to ask if they were still open and I got a stare and a yes. I then asked if I could order. Other than that it was great

Yep, they have fish… and they have chicken. But really, why limit yourself, when they have so much more? This section of the Common Markets’ food court excels at heaping portions of all varieties of comfort food, from meatloaf to full on turkey dinners. And normally, on a maiden voyage through a place like this that’s what I’d go for, one of their basics on the regular menu. But they also had on offer that night a special of marinated Bourbon steak tips, cooked with onion and peppers, and that I could not pass up(esp. since the Lady Friend basically declared war on steak earlier this year and I’ve been under quarantine, at least at home, every since). 12 minutes after ordering, my plate arrived stacked to the ceiling with perfectly grilled steak(med-rare), and similarly generous sides(most dinners come with two). It was shockingly good, probably a bit better than it actually was due to my expectations being mostly at ground level(it is cafeteria style, after all), but still — eminently worthy as a quality square meal at a reasonable price(most entrees come in between 10 – 12 bucks).

I only use the healthy kitchen part of this place so I can’t comment on the rest of the food, but, the under 500 calorie menu is outstanding, I’m looking between $ 8 to $ 10 for a healthy fresh made lunch which isn’t bad. The salmon salad is great as is the chicken apple and goat cheese salad, love the Thai wraps and stir fry’s, all in all a great healthy option in a world full of fast food. It is cafeteria style, I rarely see plates and trays left behind, but then again, not everyone is as considerate as the rest of us! I noticed a few comments on the staff, I find them to be friendly and courteous, but I’m sure they have had bad days just like the rest of us.

Upon walking in here, it seems like a cafeteria style set up, mixed with a convenience store on one side, a fro-yo counter on another, and then the take out area for fish&chicken. The prices were affordable and a range of items on the menu as well as daily specials. Overall, the meal is great for those looking for a take-out homecooked meal type of feel. We ordered a swordfish pomodoro, liked the flavor but the texture of the fish wasnt stellar, but not shabby given its swordfish for only $ 10. We also ordered a chicken salad, which was plentiful, meat was tender and flavorful, but a bit salty. The only downside is, for a place called«fish n chicken» you dont expect to ask recommendation questions to the cashier and hear«I“m sorry I dont like fish»…oh wells, guess its nice they hire some of the local highschoolers anyways. As for the fro-yo bar, they have plenty of flavors and a plethora of topping choices, I“m always a big fan when its self-serve so you can mix and match things to your choosing. The fro-yo itself is not as tart as places like berry line/pinkberry/etc, and found their mochi topping a bit dried out for me. Overall though, a nice place to hit up in the summer time!

Three words: self-serve yogurt bar. Or is that four words? Those hyphenated ones confuse me. Anyway, as a ginormous fan of froyo, it wouldn’t take a genius to understand why I love this place. So. many. flavors. My faves: coffee and dark chocolate swirled. And coconut. And the tahitian vanilla. Pretty much all of the ones I can remember piling into my bowl. And the topping bar? Umm, yes I want golden grahams and crushed kitkats on my ice cream. And mochi? Don’t even tease me with that ghiradelli white chocolate sauce. Sure, you gotta be careful or you’ll end up with a $ 14 cup of froyo but I’ve done pretty well for around 4 bones. Never tried the food, only the froyo because honestly, when there’s froyo, what else do you need?
