Remember the good ol days before this chain was bought by a large corporation?
The food quality was so much better. Now the quality is like institutional food. Too bad!

I took my mom there for her bday lunch. The service was on the slow side and the restaurant was not that crowded. We did get free popcorn which was buttery treat before our meal. Our server was pleasant and did apologize for the wait. I ordered a tropical style salad that came with not a lot of chicken. It was tasty though. This location has a lot of parking and it is good for all ages. They are constantly changing their menu for each season. If the Red Sox win children under 12 I believe eat free the next day so Go SOX! I think the best part of their menu is the yummy desserts and they also offer petite desserts if you don’t want to go on a calorie fest.

Called and ordered take out. Walked in as usual no one at front of restaurant. After couple minutes hostess shows up. Of course as to sit two parties before helping me. Get my take out got lunch for my mom and me. Get to my moms my lunch is missing. Called and told her half my lunch was missing. Oh I am so sorry do you want to come and get it. Since I was visiting my mom told her no. Don’t want it now. Will be back for refund for lunch I did not get. Went back couple of hours later. Manager credited my account. Did not even offer an apology. Even after telling me I had no lunch. Sorry if you wanted to rectify this would of offered apology and comped whole bill. Will stick to Braintree location. Manager is aways visible. Went there tonight had a great meal and service

Good food good prices however if you come on a weekday after 8:15 PM expect to stand around in the lobby for 5 or 7 mins before the hostess takes a look to see if anyone is waiting. More than once I have had to walk around the place to find the hostess. Hint; they often are «out back» smoking.
This time I went looking because there two elderly who were there before me and I had waited 6 mins before looking. I finally found the young hostess bouncing around chatting with waitresses and staff. Are there no managers on weekdays?

After waiting over the ‘five’ minutes I was told that it would take to seat me, I observed an elderly couple come in from the wait seating area and ask why another couple who had come in after them was seated. Since I had come in after the elderly couple and was not sure where other was in the line up I figured they were there before me. My ‘five’ minute wait had now come and gone. I watched as others came in and they were being told that the wait was 10 – 15 minutes and even 20 minutes and the reason was the tables just needed to be cleaned. (If it takes 20 minutes to clean a table you need to hire more people or train people to do it faster.) As I continue to wait a gentleman and his young son came in to be seated. They were given the 10 minute wait line and within and couple of minutes, yes, less than five they were shown to a table. I WAS STILL WAITING! I went to the desk and questioned why I was being bypassed and they were seated. The man started to explain how I was being seated at a certain table, I did not ask for a special table or area, I just wanted to eat dinner. After he could not answer my question and it finally came down to why a father and young son was being seated before a single 60 year old woman he blurted out ’ I was told not to seat you.’ Really, why was I being discriminated against? I have been a regular customer there for years and always generously tipped the wait staff. After I confronted him about the not seating me and got no reason, I stormed out as they are saying to me ‘Don’t you want to be seated?’ Really who wants to be someplace they are not welcomed.

This place the food is okay for the price we paid.
The only time we come is because it convenience to my cousin home.

I have been here twice both with family who chose to have dinner here. Overall service is good and the food is decent. I consider much of the food here as comfort food (for me) and so I would only come here if I had a hankering for it. I had the chicken parmigiana; not the best but was decent. The other time I had french onion soup and a wedge salad. The prices are good, so it’s perfect for those on a budget. There are a few other things I want to check out, like the burgers.

Tried again. Got a salad with well browned lettuce and yucky tomatoes. The seafood chowder should have been called the potato chowder. The service was quite good.

Went there this evening for an early dinner, first of all the Stuffed Mushrooms were delicious, our entrée’s were also very good… The service was excellent. I believe Jackie was our waitress. I being a waitress myself can be hard to please, But Jackie did everything right. I will definitely be visiting more often in the future.

The 4 dollar margaritas are amazing. Also its very close to my home which is very convenient for me, we sat at the bar and got enough attention from the server too.

What filled up the stars was the server. She was pleasant, checked up on us appropriately and not overbearing. I was hesitant with getting salmon but it was very good… Couldn’t lose with the buffalo chicken and kids killed the Mac and cheese…

This location has to be one of the worse 99 restaurants I have been to. The reason for this is poor management and service. A friend and I tried to have dinner at this place, since I have not been in awhile. We were able to get seated and was seated all the way in the corner. The hostess or waitress just sat us there with no menu. We sat for 15 – 20 minutes wondering if the waitress was going to come by to at least ask if we would like anything to drink or a menu at least. I thought maybe she couldn’t see us because we are all the way in the corner, so I purposely sat more close to the end of the seat for visibility. I decided to wait for 10 more minutes and then walked out and left. No host or anyone said thank you or goodbye or nothing, like we didn’t even exist. I am not sure if I will ever come again.

This place is only good to hang out and have drinks at the bar. The food is ok quality everything was frozen. You can taste it. The service at the bar is excellent. I rather go to Applebee’s.

Came here with 4 friends for a birthday celebration. Pretty good. Bethany was a sweetheart and a great server. Put up with our shit. All in all id come back.

With all the amazing locally owned restaurants around the area I have no idea why anyone would choose a crappy chain place to eat! Really? The 99? I guess if you enjoy food that tastes like it’s cooked in ball sweat then I have no argument!

This is my kids’ absolute favorite place to eat. They love the complimentary popcorn and the kid’s meals come with an ice cream sandwich for dessert. They also have a promotion where when the Red Sox win kid’s meals are free with an adult meal purchase. So a family of six (one is an infant) can have dinner for about $ 30 which is a great deal! The burgers and salads are good. I’m not a huge fan of their other entrees but as long as the kids are enjoying their meal and well behaved I have no complaints. Last few times service has been good. In the past it’s been a hit or miss. Overall good location for a meal with the kids.

I’m a fan of popcorn. Therefor, I love places that give me free popcorn. There’s popcorn at this bar! And TVs! So if you work nearby and need to go watch the USA play during lunch, come here :)
We didn’t get a seat, but the bartender got our attention the first time, after that it was hard to get him back. Once we got food and tried to balance it on the ledge someone without food was nice enough to get up. I didn’t eat it but my friends enojyed it, even if the chicken tenders were a bit small. If you’re sharing get at least 10.

The 99 is a place where you’ll get decent food at a great value. I’ve always had good service at this location. Waitstaff are always friendly and chatty, food comes out reasonably quickly, and they do their best to accommodate special requests.
The Vermont Cheddar Burger was actually prepared medium rare (hard to find a chain that’ll prepare it any cooler than medium), and came topped with some nice crispy bacon. I hate cole slaw and they had no problem giving me double fries instead of fries and slaw. The country fried chicken was a great value for $ 9.99: a generous portion of fried chicken with mashed potatoes, vegetable, cranberry sauce, and a biscuit.
Plenty of parking, and while they were very busy for a weeknight, no wait.
Will surely continue to visit this location.

Have been here several times when in the area… Its conveinently located with a big parking lot…
The service is sometimes not the best (slowish), but the food is as you would expect… They are trying to be all trendy & upscale now & have funky shaped plates & all the new rave items on the menu…
Pretty good quantity for what you pay… Try the cheese & crackers at the beginning with the popcorn (they are like 99) but who doesnt love Wheat thins with that cheese!!!

I have to agree with Irene’s review below, «It’s a typical 99. Nothing spectacular.»
I took my brother in-​law and 2 sister in-​laws to lunch here on Thursday.
We chose this restaurant because it was close to my office, so I would be able to stay within my hour lunch break.
The service was very slow however, and I would not go back their during my lunch break again.
The food was tasty though so I’d go back when I have time to sit and enjoy the meal.
