Service was good, but otherwise I wasn’t that impressed. Food was decent from a take-out perspective(and I’ve gone here for take out), but it tended toward the greasy end of things. Ordered spring rolls, but got egg rolls. The red sangria tasted like grape punch. The restaurant itself was both weird and cold. I guess it’s trying to be super modern with white furniture and jazz music playing, but it just felt like I was eating dinner on the moon.

We went there on a weekday and were the only customers. the manager was our waiter. nice guy but he forgot that we ordered calamari. our dishes arrived and were big portions so we didn’t remind him of the calamari. everything tasted good but I’m not sure if they use MSG in their food. the lunch combos were good. rice and lobster sauce. lo mein and chicken. the lychee drink didn’t have enough alcohol in it, but that’s cause the manager made it, not a bartender. overall, nothing too special but I’ll go back to try more

The food was pretty good but unfortunately the quincy rodent population thought so as well. When we pointed out a mouse running around the restaurant floor to our waitress, she said ‘yeah I know, it happens.’ I’m sure this is true, but definitely not the reaction I was expecting as a first time customer. Definitely won’t be dining here again.

I actually come here frequently. You can order from here and Kama Lounge and the food is always good. Service is always excellent and the drinks are fab. I actually had them cater my wedding and they did a phenomenal job. There was a ton of food, my guests loved every bite and it was all totally worth it. We had a small backyard reception so it totally worked for us. The GM Samir«Z» was incrediblely accommodating and is always super nice. He’s got a laid back attitude but remains totally professional and really gets things done. Everything was perfect and I honestly couldn’t have asked for any more. Service was on point! Thank you guys!

We go here pretty often and the food is always(and that’s ALWAYS!) good. The consistency alone is impressive. My mother insists I take her here every time she visits from Miami. Service is OK — but by that I have to separate the 2 elements — the servers themselves and the timing of the food. The servers themselves are quite good, attentive, etc. The issue is the kitchen cannot handle big parties(«by «big» I mean more than 4 people). Every time we’ve come for a bday or get together with a group of people, food items come out in an odd order. There are folks sitting there with nothing, while others have already eaten their appetizers AND are starting with their entrée. My personal favorite is the lemon chicken, although the sweet-and-sour is great too. House fried rice is wonderful. And for desert — they have this«fried milk»(not listed on the menu any more –but they have it — you just gotta know to ask) that is amazing. Parking is challenging during the day(week days) given the construction that is never-ending. On the weekend or at night, just park in the courthouse lot across the street.

I had the sesame chicken bowl for lunch. Amazing! I’m so glad I had some leftover for home lol The staff was super friendly & my meal was ready in a timely manner. The bill came out to under $ 10! Overall I’m very I came out & tried this restaurant. I will definitely be back!

Awful. I should have known better when I walked in. I really tried to get past the appearance. Trust me that took a lot. One bight of the chicken finger told me all I needed to know. I couldn’t even swallow it. Well that was a waste of $ 40. Don’t go! Simply awful.

Food here is excellent, love the availability of both the Tapas and Chinese kitchens. Brussels sprouts and mint labne dip and boneless spare ribs and pork dumplings and szechuan asparagus were all fantastic.

SIGH. I really, really wanted to like this place. Bistro Chi, however is just not consistent, and generally, down right bad. Things that are good: Steamed Pork Dumplings(8) $ 8.25: These are delicious– plump, juicy, herb-y perfection. Fried Spring Rolls(2) $ 3.50: Crispy, filled with veggies, and tastes great with dipping sauce– what more do you want? The«Eh»: Spicy Chicken Lettuce Wraps $ 7.75: The portion is HUGE– if you don’t mind eating unidentifiable«chicken thing» that lacks any sort of flavoring or heat– then please order this. Although the dish just tastes like bland chicken– the poultry is juicy at least. The Bad: Chicken Fried Rice $ 8.25: BLANDBLAND, OHSOBLAND. I poured three packets of soy sauce on this, and a tablespoon of salt… and NOTHING. The whole dish is brown. The chicken is brown, the rice is brown, and I would say the veggies were brown… but there were no veggies. Just don’t order this. It’s truly atrocious. Again– portion size is large, but unfortunately I could not muscle down more than three bites. Soy Sauce Pan Fried Noodles with Bean Sprouts, Scallions and Chives $ 11.25. See criticism above. BROWN, No Veggies, No flavor. Just don’t do it. Caveats/Warnings: I have never actually stepped foot in this restaurant– I’ve only ordered Take Out. I suppose a dining– in experience could be better. Last words: I am really surprised by Bistro Chi’s bad performance. I generally enjoy Fuji Groups offerings– including Shabu, Yocha, and B Café.

Bistro chi was okay. I ordered the shrimp with mixed vegetables lunch special that was very flavorless until I added the remainder duck sauce from a spring roll we ordered. The white rice was cooked perfectly and the vegetables and shrimp were cooked perfectly just bland and without flavor. The spring roll was definitely delicious and I would recommend ordering at least one. The egg drop soup was really good and coated my belly perfectly. It was warm, soothing and comforting. Would definitely return to try additional items of the menu if I’m ever in the area again.

I have eaten dinner here a few times. A lot of the food is very good. What they don’t seem to get right is the timing. The accuracy isn’t great either. Inevitably, they screw up someone’s dinner. Or someone is left waiting while everyone else has their food. I really love the green bean and pork lettuce wraps. The sesame chicken is very good too. The service is attentive despite the mistakes, which I suspect are due to the kitchen. I will continue to go here since my friends like it and it’s centrally located in Quincy center.

This is the best American Chinese food you will ever get. It’s not authentic Chinese food and it’s not trying to be. There are plenty of places that do that, but for delicious, fresh perfect Chinese food(the American kind we all think of, with crab rangoons and chicken fingers and such), it is the best place you will ever go. It’s slightly more expensive but the portions are large and every single thing comes out quick, hot, fresh, a division delicious. Their sesame chicken is to-die for and it’s not that stringy, weird chicken you get at food court Chinese food places. It’s nice pieces of white chicken beast, fried perfectly, with the best sesame sauce ever. Their crab rangoons are still the best I’ve ever tasted. They’re so crunchy and have the perfect wonton-to-filling ratio. My recommendation is the vegetarian lettuce wraps. It’s all sorts of yummy vegetables(like carrots, celery, water chestnuts, etc.) and tofu. Even if you don’t like tofu, you will after this. It adds a nice creamy element because they’re nice and soft and you get little rice noodles on the top to add crispy-ness! The sauce is like a teriyaki, sesame, soy sauce with some heat. They’re the best lettuce wraps on the menu and the best I’ve ever had. So good that I try to replicate them St home constantly. But I usually just end up ordering them for take out because they’re very reasonably priced! Their tapas menu(which is from the adjoining Kama Lounge) is filled with gourmet yummy dishes that are interesting. They’re small dishes at decent prices so it’s a great little way to try something new. Seriously, you haven’t lived until you’ve tried their food the fried rice, scallion pancakes, wonton soup, and lo mein are also stand out dishes.

one would expect a chic place like this(also next to a bar/lounge allegedly by the same owner) would offer a more modern or fusion take on the cuisine, but nope, food is pretty hardcore Chinese. i mean, i can appreciate that, just experiencing a bit of a mental clash, what with the dim lighting and all… you pay a premium for the ambience i guess; food is not bad per se, but pretty average standard stuff overall. i’m happy here but not ecstatic, know what i mean? maybe i came with a bit too high on the expectations. maybe i’m just a shallow person. street parking only, requiring a short walk in what seems to be a quiet(deserted?) non-residential neighborhood. not being the town resident and first time here, my senses were heightened, esp when walking on a street like that at night, even with a couple of friends. would not mind returning if the chance presents itself.

Came here on a Friday. Surprisingly, it was pretty empty. Atmosphere was great, however there was nothing on the walls. It took me a while but that was it! I couldn’t figure out what felt off, but it was the bare walls. Odd, but whatever, I was there to eat, not peruse local art. Started off with egg rolls and salt and pepper shrimp that were great. Had a few drinks. Sweet Mai-Tai type stuff. Wasn’t bad! The entrées were decent size and seasoned well. Nothing mind blowing here but overall an excellent Asian dining experience.

I have been going to this restaurant for several years, but don’t get there as often as I would like since we live some towns over. I have stopped in on weekdays for lunch & it is often rather quiet for a restaurant serving some of the best food I’ve ever had! But, I’m not complaining, more food & better service for me. Speaking of service, I did take out a week ago & they had forgotten to give me an order of egg rolls. I guess it got onto my bill but not into my bag. The food we did receive was so good we didn’t miss them & actually forgot we had ordered them. Today, we were coming through the area(sort of intentionally) & decided to order take out. When I called in my order the GM, Z, took the order & when I gave my phone # he said,“Is this Terry” & when I said yes he said, «did you ever get the egg rolls you had ordered & paid for?» Now, understand I never met Z before but he treated me like his best customer! They knew that this happened, which I didn’t, & were this proactive to provide excellent customer service, who does that? BTW, did I mention the food is some of the best I’ve ever had & I’ve had food from all corners of the world. The best hot & sour & egg drop soup, salt & pepper dishes to die for! Bistro Chi does it right on all fronts. It’s worth the trip, from Boston, from Providence from anywhere within 50 miles!

Great food and Great ambience for Reasonable prices. Loved the vegetable Lettuce wraps and seared Brussel sprouts with spicy mayo and tomato sauce. Service was great. One suggestion I have for the restaurant owners is to make the menu more vegetarian friendly by adding more vegetarian entrees to the dinner menu.

Kama Lounge/Bistro Chi Sandy was curious to try tapas style dining, when we stumbled upon the Kama Lounge. I am a big fan of having large selections of foods to try in one sitting. The tapas menu is extensive, with a variety of unique, international fusion of cuisines. They tapas are beautifully presented, as well as affordable. The lounge has a posh yet relaxed feel with its plush lounge couches and chairs. If you’re not up for cuddling with your honey(with an adult beverage), have a seat at the bar, where one of the bartenders are ready to cure what ales ya. Where I am sure the Kama Lounge is a great place to go any night of the week, live music is performed by various local artists on Friday and Saturday nights, which is when I prefer to go. If you’re craving more of a sit-down restaurant, this place has you covered. On other side of the lounge is Bistro Chi, a full service restaurant. Although Bistro Chi is a full service, full menu restaurant, you can still order from the tapas menu, which is an added bonus. The menu is Asian-fusion, and consists of familiars like, General Gao’s chicken, sichuan beef, and pork fried rice. These«ususals» are all prepared and presented well above the norm(i.e. your local greasy wok), as far as these classics go. The not so typical items they feature include some creative items like the mango shrimp in a tarot basket, goji berry beef soup, and Chinese style friend chicken. And, of course, from the tapas menu, prosciutto wrapped black mission figs, duck confit(which is what we had), pan seared foie gras with port pear purée and candied almonds, and Kama’s take on deviled eggs, prepared with goat milk ricotta and smoked paprika. This is so nth what you would expect at an Asian restaurant. But it is nice to get the unexpected, especially when Asian fusion is nothing more than typical Chinese food served with a side of white bread. I should warn everyone out there, now, that I am a table peeper. By this, I mean I peep at people’s dishes, because it helps me get a feel for how a restaurant cares about presentation and, in addition, it helps me to decide what dishes I want to try. I am apologizing in advance to all of you guys who think I am trying to look down your wives’ and girlfriend’s shirts when I come into the restaurant… I really am only checking out what you both are eating(Yes, I am looking at your food, too). The manager, David, is very charming and checked in on us from time to time, to make sure that we were having a positive experience, as first-timers. After dinner, we moved over to the Kama side for some after dinner drinks, where we were blown away by one of the most talented musicians I have ever seen. Unfortunately, I do not recall his full name, but keep an eye out for a Jay or Jason performing there in the future – he is a solo guitar player and singer. The live music is a great touch and adds that much more to the charm of this place. It was the perfect end to a great night. You would be crazy not to try one of this place. Variety and options in one locale are hard to come by, and this place makes it so easy when you can’t decide where to go. We have, and still will be returning as much as possible.

As a Chinese person going to a Chinese restaurant with the name«bistro» in it, I was initially hesitant, but thought I’d give it a try since it had such high ratings on Unilocal. The décor is very modern and«bistro”-like. You get to order from their menu as well as the Kama Lounge menu next door. On Sundays, Kama Lounge menu items are all 50% off. On the Bistro Chi menu, you can order half-size portions for half the price of most of the entrees. Pretty neat! I have to say overall, the food is pretty authentic tasting, and you really can’t beat the prices. Truffle mac and cheese(from Kama) — good, but I’ve had way better. Wouldn’t get this again. Scallion pancakes — you get a LOT, so be careful not to fill up on these too quick. They’re also really crispy… almost too crispy for my liking. I prefer the slightly chewier and greasier ones that you get in Chinatown. Trust me on this one. Crab rangoons — pretty good! Good shell to cream cheese filling ratio. I enjoyed these a lot. You get five of these in a small order. Garlic stir fried pea pod stems — one of my favorite Chinese vegetables, so I was nervous to see if they’d do them right. Perfect! Tasted so authentic, just like the way my parents cook it. One of my favorites. The half portion is a good size for two people, especially when you’re ordering quite a few other dishes like we did. Shrimp and candied walnuts in white mayo sauce — another Chinese dish staple, and it was delicious, as always. Salt & pepper short rib — good and tasty, but too chewy and messy. Wouldn’t get this again. Yes, for two people we might’ve ordered a lot… but it was all worth it! This won’t be my go-to Chinese restaurant, but it’s a pretty good hidden gem in the Quincy area. Dan’s 2¢: My standards are higher than Jenn’s. My daddy a head chef and really good at cooking Chinese cuisine. Most of the grub didn’t have that authentic taste like C-Town. BUT the peapod shoots was on pOinT! Other than that… I’m ghost.
