Love Liz’s! Picked up take out here when I was in town for a death in the family. Food was delicious and service was friendly and very courteous! Only complaint was I had to drive around Bessemer to find an ATM bc they didn’t take debit cards at the time! No bueno!

Now, I haven’t actually been to the location but my sister buys tamales here and served them for dinner. I know a lil something about tamales and these were OUTSTANDING! We had mild and spicy pork tamales, and if these are representative of their usual fare, you will not be disappointed. Everything was perfect: filling taste, masa dough taste, ratio of filling to dough, size, not dry, not overly moist. Just perfect! Flavor, flavor, flavor! My sis said you can get them fresh or frozen. I pray you have the same experience as me. I would drive out of my way for these– and my sister does. Now I will too. :)
