You don’t want to hear this, but a bedbug crawled off the bed and up the arm of one of the people I was traveling with. We trapped it in a plastic cup(complimentary!), took some photos(data charges apply), and promptly packed our bags to head to the LaQuinta down the street. I tend not to recommend hotels with bedbugs, so unfortunately, one star.

Loved it! Stay here, if in the area! Greeted warmly by a bright, helpful young woman at the front desk. Walked along completely silent halls on well-padded carpet… even the back stairs were padded and silent. Tall ceilings and courtesy phones throughout building, and large elevators. Free cookies. Our room was a perfect refuge — spotlessly clean, and wonderfully QUIET. Spacious, sunlit, with attractive and understated décor, heavy doors inside and out, great storage, great TV, roomy bathroom. Best of all, INCREDIBLY comfortable mattresses and pillows — high quality. Slept like rocks, then had their very good hot and cold breakfast the next morning. Wish they did the«please save water and use same towel» Eco-program. And there were no recycling bins anywhere. But, we would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend!

I never post negative comments but I feel very strongly that decency is expected when a service industry hires staff. As a medical provider I would never treat another with such disrespect. If I had shown up in my sports car with my designer Louis Vitton luggage as opposed to have been returning from a camping trip my husbands reception would have been much different. We were rushing home from a vacation in South Dakota because my mother n law was flown to Albuquerque NM having a heart attack. We have previously had decent stays at Holiday Inns and stopped at 10pm after driving over 10 hours pulling a trailer which took significantly longer than it should have. Both my husband and I were very stressed and tired. My husband went into the hotel no one would even address him. The night manager just started at him. So my husband asked the man if he had available rooms since the manager would not say any thing to my husband. The man rudely told my stressed husband that the rooms would cost $ 159.00 tonight. We had checked the website previously and it stated the room would cost $ 117.00. My husband told him this and he stated again very rudely to my husband that would depend on what website we checked. My husband thanked him and we went back to another hotel in that same area and got a hotel for much less and were treated with respect. I will NEVER stay at this hotel and will not recommend this hotel to anyone ever. Customer service should be a simple matter of common courtesy and should be expected from every staff member at all times.

Hotel room(2 double beds) was well appointed. Room was spotless. Free WiFi hook up was effortless to connect to and worked perfectly. Hotel staff was pleasant and knowledgeable about the area. Laundry room located on 2nd floor worked out great. Machines were new/like new and worked perfectly. The pool was an indoor pool so was on the small side but my son didn’t seem to mind as it was heated after all. After having a bad experience at the Courtyard by Marriott in Santa Fe, NM last night, this Holiday Inn Express was a much needed respite from the road.

My family and I reserved a suite at this hotel for a three-day-stay near the end of July 2014. I found the pool and hot tube to be better than most of the holiday Inn’s I have stayed in before. The suite was large with two queen beds on one side, a door that can be closed separating the bedroom area from the living room area. The living room area had a sofa bed, refrigerator, microwave, and bathroom. Both sides had a flat screen TV to watch. This was great, I put my two kids on one side and they watch what they wanted on TV and slept on the sofa bed and my wife and I slept on the two queen beds and watched what we wanted on TV. At check-in, the staff was not the friendliest I have experienced, but was OK. We were not offered any of the perk normally offered to priority members(bottle of water, coupons ect.). Breakfast was a typical Holiday Inn type breakfast. We had two issues at this hotel related to breakfast. First, on Friday morning July 24, 2014, when we entered the breakfast area, my children and I noticed money on some of the tables. At a restaurant I would not sit at a table with money on it because I did not want to be accused of steal the waitress tips. We found a table that did not have money on it and sat down to eat. I asked the employee about the money on the tables and she said that she was«too busy to pick it up» and that some people would«bless» her with money. After that conversation I understood that this was just like the tip jar concept where you put a few dollar of your own money in so that others will hopefully follow by putting money(tips) in too. This employee put her own money on various tables in an effort to solicit tips. I’m surprised that people didn’t take the money and run. Anyway, this employee ran around at a high rate of speed telling everyone how hard she was working and how much there was to do. I am a regular customer of Holiday Inn hotels and I have never seen an employee solicit tips in a non-restaurant breakfast area. I am surprised that the Holiday Inn manager allows this. The other two days(July 25 – 26, 2014), the employees were different and did not solicit tip during breakfast. On July 26, 2014, the pancake machine was broken. Overall, my family and I had a good time and would consider stay again at this hotel.
