This little spot was by far my most favorite tonight. First of all, by looking at this from the street you cannot tell it’s a bar. From outside all you see is a lingerie store front. No name outside, Google maps is my best friend. As you walk in you’re greeted by a bouncer, that lets you walk into what seems like the 1920’s… alcohol prohibition times. Drinks were nice(not full size) and there’s a small list to choose from for $ 6 :) but not a huge menu! Goes with the theme. The place is small, dark and very cozy… little round tables with chairs along side the wall, in the corner, cozy velvety sofas. Very intimate ;) lol bartender was nice and helpful. If you are ever in Providence, RI hit this place up! I thought it was cool, small crowd for thirsty Thursday. I would def come back.

Perfect atmosphere and perfect drinks made with care. If your looking for a low key date spot with awesome drinks this place is a must.

Nothing like a $ 5 cocktail. There’s a cute interior space and fresh flowers. I would LOVE this bar, but alas, I fear it’s perhaps suffered a little because of Unilocal. The crowd is often people who have clearly never stepped foot west of downtown before(i.e. beginning & end of the semester, tons of moms and dads with their college-age kids.) Thus, I don’t typically go here on the weekends anymore — but a great spot to grab a mid-week drink.

With no actual sign, nor any clear view of the actual bar when you walk in, Justines is to my knowledge Providence’s only true speakeasy bar. Use Google Maps street view to find what you’re looking for on the road, becuase it can be a little challenging at night to negotiate both the traffic and the search. It’s right near La Lupita and you’ll know you’re there by the out-of-place mannequins wearing lingerie. When you get there you’ll be greeted by a friendly bouncer, who’ll show you in. Inside is a true-to-form speakeasy style bar. The drinks are both delicious and cheap and the bartenders are friendly. What’s not to like?

I went here on a Friday night at 7 and lucked out with a parking spot right in front. The bouncer was friendly, the bartender was friendly, and it was such a cozy little place. Best of all, the drinks were expertly made and reasonably priced. I will definitely be back.

I love this place. The ambiance is part romantic part hipster. It’s an intimate little place to grab a drink and chat. The drinks are delicious and most of them are only $ 6. It can be difficult to find if you don’t know what you’re looking for.

Most speakeasy style bars(at least the ones in NYC I Have been to) are tacky, snotty, overpriced fads. This place is not any of those things. The drinks are well made and very cheap. The staff is very prompt and good and what they do. The space is very nice. Being Olneyville, parking is not the easiest. Overall, this is the best cocktail bar in the city.

I’m a big fan of this place. It’s cozy and the drinks are delicious and affordable. It’s such a unique place and as many other Unilocalers have said, it’s a little tough to find. However, once you do, it is totally worth the hunt. This would be a great place for a date, it’s dim, and the tables are small, I really had a great time here. I can’t wait to go back!

Love the idea of this place. My girlfriend and I went one weekday night. Place wasn’t busy so service was good. Not much of a beer or liquor selection so that was a slight bummer. The weird electro monastery keyboardist needed to go. With better entertainment, a friendlier bartender, and a better booze selection would be simple additions that would take this place really far. Great idea that fell flat.
