Business is not good here. First off false advertising on website — specials listed on website are not valid when you go to order. Tried placing an order via telephone and telephone was busy for 1 hour — when we went into the restaurant we found the phone off the hook behind the bar… Service is SOSO … for an up and coming area in Prosper this place is a disappointment and I would not recommend. You get better service at Taco bell drive thru.

The food is fantastic here. But I would recommend that you have plenty of time to eat. Our server was quite slow and unable to multitask.

This place was very disappointing. We had to wait almost an hour to even order our meal, and we were only able to do so because we called over the manager. The dining room was not very busy at all and still our server was extremely slow and unable to multitask. The food we did eat before walking out was nothing to rave about either. I won’t be coming here again.

*****roach alert should be zero stars****** Just left without finishing our lunch due to a roach crawling up onto the table. We didn’t make a scene at all, but probably should have knowing the who cares attitude. Our waiter came to the hostess station thinking we skipped the bill and didn’t offer any apologies. We paid full price for a unfinished meal and were told that«it happens ». That is disgusting!!!

We enjoyed eating here. The Fajitas were good, but not as excellent as we’ve sometimes had them elsewhere. The enchiladas were also very tasty but not quite top notch. Service was great and the place is easy to reach from Preston Road, with plenty of parking.

I gave this place a second chance since the Frisco location is so good and I’m SO glad I did! The food is amazing and the drinks are spot on! We love the swirl margarita and the beef fajitas!

The large burrito I had was very good. The wait staff could be better at providing quicker service. Quit going here a year ago and came back the other night. Hopefully they read the reviews as they have the potential to be so much better.

The food is bland and downright terrible, just like the service. Chips are stale, salsa is some pathetic premade vinegary mess, and the«queso» is like thick orange chicken soup. The rice is quite clearly Lipton rice and everything else is completely devoid of taste. The only way you could ever think this is a good restaurant is if you have never eaten out anywhere… ever. Taco Bell has better food — seriously. If this is all it takes to open a restaurant count me in, my eight year old could cook tastier food.

Not the best mexican good around — but not the worse. Convenience says we’ll be back.

Well well well, LAMO… Chips?YUK, there everyday salsa YUKKK Tomato purée very little flavor. then i asked for something hotter and it was good. PUTOUTYOURBESTEVERYTIMEMANYPEOPLEWOULDNTHAVEEVENASKED. SHOWTOSHOWOFF or Get OUT. The Nachos. WELLWELLWELL… a dozen of the nasty chips layed flat on the plate w meat and cheese. Ok I will stay at home for that. I cook so i guess when i go out to eat i expect that they cook also. Not the case at Ernestos very bland and from a box or can DOGFOOD! not again nd i see they have several locations. Good for people that dont know any better, because they havent ever had good mexican food. Travel put of town anywhere and you should be able to beat the taste of this stuff. I will post a good place up in Deniso TX for everyone and they have several locations and they are all GREAT! and CHEAPPP… even better

Having lived in San Antonio I am accustomed to amazing Mexican and texmex. The food here is ok, prices are reasonable, staff is good. We have been a couple of times when we were in town. Would go back, but wouldn’t make a social trip just to go here.

Stopped in as I desperate to eat. Normally skip 3.5 star places but what that rating really means is that you have to be careful what you order. Got spinach enchiladas. Can’t quite figure out what is wrong with salsa but its not inviting me to eat more chips. The chips are good. Would have to have some queso or something. Enchiladas were marginal and not much in them. The squash on the side was really good. Rice and charro beans good. Service started great but kind of dwindled off near closing. But overall the service was okay. Surprised there some dude puffing away on a vape. That’s seemed to violate my experience seeing clouds of crap coming out. It’s probably didn’t quite reach a three so its a 2. I wouldn’t go back.

So. I have been here twice as we just moved here from out of state. 1st time we are here, we were placed In a booth by the middle area. Before the food arrived, we noticed small bugs(looked like roaches but were cinch bugs) crawling on the wall and under the table cloth. We asked for the manager and he came over. We politely told him about the big problem and asked to be moved. He apologized and that pretty much was it. No care. Just sorry. Today– tried again. I know. But it’s close and we didn’t want to drive into Frisco. Sat– ordered– began to eat. Wife looks on my 5 year olds plate. And sees pieces of metal.(Manager told me it was from their fryer basket) Again, sorry. That’s it. My daughter almost ate metal, and all you say is sorry and walk away. Never again. We will never be back. Ever I’ll add the picture for all to see

Tried Ernesto’s on a whim while up in Prosper. Was greeted by the waitress promptly and was served water, chips, and salsa. Their salsa is pretty decent and fairly mild. The flavor was a little muddled and not clear. Most salsa I like is distinct in its flavor and taste. The chips were quite good; warm and not oily or greasy and were lightly salted. I ordered the chili rellano with beef filling. I thought I ordered the fajita beef yet it came with ground beef/taco meat. Not a deal killer. The rellano was lightly battered and still crunchy which I like. The overall flavor was quite good. The dish included rice and refried beans. The rice was quite nice — not sticky or clumpy. The beans were decent yet uninspired. Sort of «out of the can and onto the plate». My wife enjoyed her dinner too having quesadillas which are truthfully hard to screw up. The order was a little messed up for my kids. We ordered sides of fajita meat(1 beef and 1 chicken) with sides of tortillas. They sent out full blown orders of fajitas. Well… that was ok I suppose as they were pretty hungry. I did notice that the bill only had 1 order and when I inquired the waitress said that they(kitchen) messed up so she comped one of the meals. Nice! Overall I’m rating 4 stars. The food is good, not great. The restaurant was clean and the service was good; attentive but not hovering.

Decent Mexican food option in the Prosper Celina area! The chips and salsa are pretty good and usually come to the table quick. The staff is pretty attentive, but I have seen many different faces over the years. I was a waiter once, and I understand that turn over is something that does happen in the industry. They have a patio to enjoy margaritas or a beer on at lunch or in the evenings. Later in the night it can be quiet, but that is when I receive the best service in my opinion. Instead of five, I am rating a 4 because the restaurant could always be a little cleaner. Always seem to brush crumbs off my chair or table when I come to sit. Seriously though, if you need a quick Mexican food bite to eat, Ernesto’s in Prosper will do the trick. Can’t speak for the other locations, but I could be checking the McKinney location out soon!

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. I live in a different state now but still crave their margaritas and Grande Burrito plate! The service is great. It can get a little loud but it’s a great, small-town crowd.

we were ignored for the first 20 minutes we were there, watching the tables that came in after us be served. finally, we ordered drinks from Lallo, the manager on duty. 35 minutes in, after already ordering from the mod, the waiter finally stopped at the table. don’t even think about a drink refill. it’s not going to happen. I suggest going to Christinas, much better food, and they have service there.

The people rating this anymore than 3 stars have to be high. Literally, you have to be high to eat and enjoy their food. Either that or have to have been starved for a week whilst trapped in someone’s basement and fed crushed potato chips underneath the door to consider this anything more than the bland, overpriced, unremarkable establishment that it is. We went twice. We wanted to give it another try, as there aren’t many close choices in Prosper. Both times were bad; however, the second time we visited was what will forever stick with me. Those fish tacos will always remind me to never go back. If you don’t take this advice, and you do end up going to this place, please don’t spend the 14 $ for fish tacos. You’re better off eating a piece of cardboard. It would likely be more flavorful.

Very good, eaten here a few times since we moved to Prosper a year ago, we also go to the one in McKinney. The Queso Fundido is great as an app. Salsa is very good, great flavor, traditional tex mex, and the prices are very good.

Decent Mexican and worth the stop — particularly w limited options in the area. My taco platter was good and my hubby’s spinach enchiladas were hearty and filling, with a lot of spinach, with the best zucchini he has ever had. The tortillas came to the table at room temperature so we passed on them. If the seasoning were improved on both entrees(both on the plain side) I’d go to five stars. Our server was quite attentive and helpful w suggestions — we would come Back if we lived in the area.
