I would not recommend Orchid Nails to anyone. My friend and I received the worst gel manicures here, and they had terrible customer service. We both walked out with the polish bubbling, and cuts on our cuticles (from the nail technicians). The ladies who were giving us our manicures were extremely rude and rough with our hands. On top of that they were clearly talking about us in a different language right to our faces. Lastly, they charge more for a gel manicure than our usual salons and they do an awful job.

Do not come here for waxing. They said they waxed but the lady looked more lost than I was the first time i ever had a wax. She had no clue what she was doing, tore my skin and then said it was because of where my hand was (I have been having Brazilian waxes for over 5 years now every month and sometimes do it myself at home– I was not the cause of my torn skin) and she continued after the skin was torn but I was so numb from the repetitive unsuccessful attempts she went through that I almost didn’t feel it. Now I am home and out of commission for a few days because I can not walk properly due to the sting. Worst waxing experience of my life!
Also, she dipped the same stick in and out of the wax many times, and reused wax strips in different areas. All together an unsanitary and unnecessarily painful experience.

Did I seriously just pay for this??? Worst manicure EVER. The gentleman used a drill to remove my gel polish and absolutely ruined my nails. He left them rigid and grooved and then painted them. He didn’t give each coat a chance to dry and it was totally uneven. I posted a picture to show what a shabby job was done. Hopefully this isn’t the norm but I def would not go back. I also paid $ 10 extra to get some new OPI infinite shine thing.

My girlfriend Jen asked me to meet her at the Orchid so we could spend some time chatting. All of staff was very pleasant from the receptionist to the girl doing my pedicure. But Jen’s guy David was most informative while I was asking questions about the gel nails. He was eagerly willing to share information seemed to pay a lot of tension to detail. …the Salon was clean and orderly.

Worst manicure I’ve had in a while, and very expensive for a drop in place ($ 16). They put several coats of polish on without waiting for any to dry at all in between coats. It still wasn’t dry two hours later, and I ended up scraping it off because the polish kept getting messed up. The polish was lumpy at the outset and didn’t cover my whole nail.

I had a dinner nearby and decided to give this place a try while I waited. What a wonderful experience! The color selection is great, the lady took her time especially with the pedicure, and the entire visit was peaceful.

I have been to this nail salon twice now. It is very clean, organized and the atmosphere is pretty. The location is a little hard to spot at first, as it’s beneath an apartment/​condo complex and sort of hidden next to a bridal store. Overall, I am satisfied with their service. Both times my nail tech was Catherine. She’s very diligent and friendly to talk to. She did my manicure last Friday and today is Wednesday, and I have NO chips in my nailpolish! Love this place. It’s a convenient location (close to my house) and their prices are reasonable. $ 16 for a manicure.

The salon is clean, professional, family oriented, fun, and they do good work. T is phenomenal. She always makes my feet look great and feel good. She is a awesome I will see no one else. Well worth the visit and she deserves a big tip always.

Great nail salon and luv the orchid theme.
Here’s an overview:
— Clean, modern and organized
— Friendly staff
— Great selection of nail colors
— Super comfy massage chairs (compared to most salons I’ve been to)
— Comfortable atmosphere; great layout — colorful & cheery
The prices were slightly higher than what I’m accustomed to paying. I think it was worth it — my nail tech really took her time and paid attention to detail. In the past, I’ve visited places where I felt as though I could’ve done a better job (in fact, I do my own nails the majority of the time), but that wasn’t the case here.
Note: As with most salons, you cannot leave gratuity on your credit card so make sure you have cash!

Followed Tammy and David here from another salon in Rockville. Good service in relaxing environment. They were on time for my appointment. Massage pedicure chair not as good as the other place, but otherwise okay. Price is reasonable.
