Pad Thai was dry. asked for spicy, the woman just put red pepper flakes and no sauce. Noodles stuck together, chicken was cut in flat circular pieces. We’re $ 14 poorer and still hungry.

Great food truck for cheap delicious food. When the guy asks you if you want your noodles spicy say NO unless you aren’t a wuss like me, because damn I thought I loved spicy food until I ate tried his version of «spicy».

Chill Portland night, only thing open at midnight so check it out. It’s one of the several food stand/food court places in Portland. Ordered combo phở. It’s a good stand phở and my first and I don’t think can compare to a restaurant. But, overall the soup was nice, noodles were good, I didn’t care too much for the different meat inside. The price also I thought was bit high. $ 9 for the bowl of phở. But it was a nice experience.

Just had the pork roll banh mi. Cheap at $ 3.50 but I’ve definitely had much better. Bread was a little too stale, too much BBQ sauce and not enough veggies. Also took a surprisingly long time. I think the pork roll was being grilled, but shouldn’t take 10 minutes when you are only 1 of 2 people waiting.

Wow! Visiting Portland for the first time and craving banh mi and phở… Based on the reviews decided among the many stands this is a must try! WRONG! After waiting a really longtime for sandwiches, fried rice and phở… Grant it, there is only one person… received the wrong drink, missing an order. When reminding her of our original order she was annoyed about the drink and yelled that we didn’t order the second order. After preceding to tell her fine please make us an order then, we were told no she was out of fried rice at 11:45 am! Really? Regardless of the wait and mishaps, we were looking forward to good food– NOT fried rice was burnt and even hot sauce could help it. Phở was ok at best and the sandwiches, lots of filling but the bread wasn’t fresh, but that too was ok. Needless to say if you want to be yelled at, wait a long time and pay for burnt food. This is your place. There are many other options steps away, sadly we chose the wrong one!

Good things come in small places. I’m on a personal mission to try everyone’s tofu bahn mi so my review will be based on that. Tofu is good but a little on the smaller side. Veggies were fresh and the sauce was a good compliment. The ingredients did not overflow out of the roll but the roll was flaky and perfect.

Worst Pad Kee Mow I’ve ever had, and I order it everywhere! It’s my benchmark when I try a new place and I was shocked when I saw it. The noodles were p and lumped together with no flavor at all. I ended it complaining to a vendor around the corner and they fixed it for me! If you’re in the area, skip this place and go around the corner to Honey Thai(across the street from killer burger).

Been here on vacation for less than a week and eaten here twice already. Hard-working, always opened, and good food!

Came here after the gym at around 7:30PM. It took me a little bit to figure out what I wanted to order, and being an asian lady, she was short on patience. HAHA. I ended up ordering the pineapple fried rice. I walked a few blocks down to my destination, and the food was piping hot. The dish was done very well and had plenty of flavor(and chunks of pineapple). The one knock is that they either use packaged chicken, or they pre-cook the chicken. It tastes kind of strange, but the rest of the dish was very good.

Tonight our orders did not turn out good. The Thai iced tea made my bofriend sick for the second time. The fried rice was old rice, and the coconut curry was watered down soup. I hope next time, you have fresher ingredients.

The Phô Le experience goes like this: you walk up to the window and order. They give you your drinks. You fend bees off from your sweet, sweet nectar. They call you up to retrieve the Viet vittles. You spend the next 20 minutes fending off bees as you gobble down bite after bite of the crispest, freshest, tenderest, chewiest, juiciest banh mi you ever done did have.. . Unless you order something else and it’s raining, then your experience will be totally different.

Lemongrass beef banh mi. $ 5. It was late lunch, no line, no one before me. It still must have taken 8+ minutes, which is weird because the meat takes longer than that to prepare(judged by the cut and texture), so it must be precooked, which makes me wonder what took so long? That said, unappetizing texture and flavor! The beef was something akin to what you’d get in phở, but it was not good, and I very nearly tossed the sandwich. Will definitely not return.

Reasonably priced, on the better side of Thai food from downtown carts. Fresh basil, mint and sprouts were appreciated. Good go-to lunch cart.

–great straight forward authentic banh mi sandwiches –open late; great for a night of drinking before or after –great entrees [rice, soup, or noodles] –great portions –fast and friendly service –great prices [cheap] ~only complaint is that I guess I’m just used to the Vietnamese food flavor back in California. Generally, food here [ in PDX] tastes slightly less flavorful than what I am used to. Not that this place is off, but it’s missing something in the flavor that I was only able to get back in the Vietnamese communities of Cali; more so for the banh mi sandwiches.

I had the Phở Tai. The sliced beef was average but the other elements of the soup were great. It was a very good value for the price.

Absolutely great Phở, lemongrass with beef #20, tasty and flavorful broth, beef generous and tender, and vermicelli noodles, simple and fresh. Being a take out truck, there’s not much to the experience, ordered through a 10 inch slot in the extensive menu and standing around while you wait for the couple to prepare your dish, you may not enjoy the music next door at the Alaskan bison sausage stand. This is take out only, so ordering Phở, I recommend having a large bowl to pour into, as they serve the broth in a quart container filled to the top, with all other ingredients to the side.

I ordered a BBQ pork sandwich with pâté and it came loaded with meat and fresh veggies. It was juicy, too! I enjoyed it.

Came here last weekend to go shopping in downtown. We were all hungry and wanted something quick. Being a foodie and being of out of state, I wanted to be adventurous and try something new in Oregon. The fam and I ordered the Vietnamese Bahn Mi(~$ 5 – 6). O-M-G was the first words I said after taking one bite. It was very delicious. My family and I were impressed by the sandwich. We have tried several Vietnamese restaurants that sell bahn mi and I have to admit, this is by far one of the best. Not only was it good, but it was big and stuffed with goodies! The only reason for the 4 star is that it is on the expensive side. I am normally use to buying sandwiches for $ 2.50−4.

The food is prepared fresh with each order. Sweet and sour chicken, and Pad Kee Mao«drunken noodle» are fantastic. For $ 6 – 7, you get a delicious fulfilling meal. For $ 3.50, they have this interesting hot dog sized tofu and BBQ pork sandwich. I’ve just tried the phở and to me it was pretty good Phở like anywhere else. I would personally go for the Thai food. I plan on trying every item eventually. It’s better value and you don’t have to be drunk to appreciate the quality. The name on top banner is «Phở Le» but there’s a reason the menu says«Thai Food from Lady Thai». Ingredients are very fresh and probably more so than many restaurants and for $ 6 – 7, its just a great value. Phở cost $ 7 – 9, or about the same as going to a Phở Huang so its not really my favorite. Not the best value. When I ordered sweet and sour chicken, I was expecting the kind you get at Chinese food restaurant, but it was totally different. I put up a picture of it. It’s more like a stir fry, but good nonetheless. On weekends this place is open until 2:30AM ish in time for the bar crowd. When you go around the time when all the bar patrons start pouring in around 2AM, it can take 20 – 30 minutes to get food like others said. On weekdays, this one of the last food carts to close among 7 – 8 carts in the same lot.
