SO disappointing! I went there yesterday and requested some plain pirogies, lightly pan-fried. Initially, the man didn’t even notice me. Then, he refused to fulfill my request. As I’ve been a patron for a whole, I’ve never had a problem getting my pirogies from the lady who sells there. When, I stated that I had previously had no trouble getting my order. Then, he changed his statement and rudely told me, «If you want that, then fine, I do it.» I said okay. After several minutes, he returned with a container of the pirogies covered in stuff. While that might be the way they typically serve it, it wasn’t what I asked for(plain). When I voiced my displeasure, he responded in anger saying something like, «You don’t like it, fine don’t take it.» And he threw the box aside. So, I walked away. I’m still giving 2 stars, as I hope this was only an anomaly.

Never tried Polish food before this, and I gotta say, I’m intrigued! I ordered the #2 combo, which is a couple of pierogies(3 or 4 I think) and stuffed cabbage. The pierogies are basically potato and cheese dumplings, which you’re suppose to dip into the sour cream, if I’m not mistaken. Interesting combination… that I can see myself craving at some point, but not something I could eat regularly. The stuffed cabbage was a more familiar flavor palate with seasoned beef? wrapped inside cabbage with tomato sauce on the outside. It was good! Overall, something I would recommend trying if you’ve never had it before! Can’t knock it, it’s unique! PS: The two ladies working inside the cart were very nice, I got lots of good ~ vibes ~ from them!

My go to Spot! Lydia and her husband take pride and what they do and make every single meal wonderful. They always add extra stuff like raspberries on the salad and use organic ingredients which they should really advertise. No chemicals no BS just real good food.

Being from Parma, Oh, we know pierogies. These were very good. The dough was so soft and tender. Served with a wonderful assortment of «toppings» which add a lot of flavor. Family members also loved the cabbage and sausage. Yumm.

Of the couple dozen+ food carts in this pod, I went here because I don’t see Polish food often. Of the dozen or so items on the menu, I ordered the buckwheat with vegetables because I don’t see buckwheat often. The nice lady who took my order complimented my selection and said it was very healthy. She also chopped up the vegetables and cooked the food right in front of my eyes, how awesome. Well, there’s no false advertising… I got a plate full of buckwheat and vegetables($ 7). I wish I could say that it was the best buckwheat and vegetables I’ve had, but no, it was just ‘reasonably good’. It could have used more taste. The consistency of everything was pretty spot-on though, the buckwheat kernels perfectly straddling the ‘al dente’ line. I also picked up a beef and cabbage roll($ 3.50), because that looked good. It was tasty, filling, and more meaty(obviously). Pod prices are not expensive and none will leave me complaining; that being said, this one was pretty average priced, maybe even on the(slightly) higher end of average. I mean, most plates are $ 7 everywhere, but it seems like a plate of grains and vegetables should be a little lower. The best selling point about this place is that the food is well-prepared and tastes nourishing. Maybe this is the point of Polish food. Maybe this is why we don’t see more Polish food.

I grew up in Brooklyn, with a typical Italian menu on a daily basis. One of my favorite things was hanging out at my friend Kenny’s apartment. His grandmother was old school Polish and made the best pierogi and stuffed cabbage. This guy has her beat. The best pierogi I ever had! Melts in your mouth and the dough is perfectly steamed. The Golabki, beef stuffed cabbage is seasoned with savory spices and is moist and delicious. Try the Chicken Paprikash, which is subtle and bold at the same time. I have never tried the Beef Goulash, but I am sure it’s as fantastic as everything else this wizened gentleman from Brighton Beach cooks up! Highly recommended!!!

Grabbed some potato and cheese pierogis and a stuffed cabbage roll. Pretty good and good size portions for the price. Not bad but not amazing. Pretty good though.

I wish I could say I love this place, but we have been waiting outside for close to 20 min with it «open» and no one here. We called the number and the first time she picked up saying she was open but didn’t seem to quite understand what we were asking. I tried to call back and was sent to voice mail. I really really wanted to like this place too. I understand the need for a break on a Friday but please close your cart or at least put out a sign. :(

Mmmm, snacked on 7 perogies(mama gave me a bonus one) for $ 4.50. I got an assortment, but even though I quite liked the saurkraut and mushroom, my fav is still the standard potato perogie. They were pretty good, but I wished that they were fried with bacon — I’m not sure if that is traditionally how its cooked, or if its Americanized! Anyhow, it was pretty good, I just wish I had the appetite to try the other stews. everything looked so affordable and delicious!

Ate at this truck, among others, while in Portland today and I was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews. I am happy to say, I was glad I decided to try this. I got a 9 piece pierogi. Pierogis are a favorite of mine and I have eaten them at many places. The ones that I got at Eurodish were definitely up there with the best. The nine piece came with two different types of pierogis, 5 mushroom and cabbage and 4 of the traditional potato and cheese. Both types were cooked to just the perfect level, firm but not too firm. Definitely not mushy. In addition, both were filled with delicious flavor. I thoroughly enjoyed them and am already missing them. The only downside to this cart was that the person working was by them self and VERY slow. I was with a group of 9 people and we bought food from several of the carts. This was by far the slowest one.

I’ve been to this food truck twice now and it’s amazing! It is authentic polish comfort food, definitely on par with the dishes I’ve had in Poland. The pierogis are delicious(usually they have cabbage/mushroom and potato/cheese — both classics) and the stuffed cabbage is so filling and warming, perfect for a cloudy day. The owners are so nice and the food comes out quickly. $ 8 for a big portion of awesome polish food, count me in any day.

We got the combo #1 — khielbasa with 3 different dumplings. The khielbasa was flavorful, smoky and juicy — better than the bratwurst cart, though with the toasted bun on that that was tasty, too. The dumplings were also good — I liked the ones that had cabbage in the filling. My bf also liked the potato filling. This place does kick-ass cabbage, making cabbage better than I knew cabbage could be!

The pierogis were amazing! We stopped by at 10pm and they made them fresh in just a few minutes. It was $ 4.50 for 6 or $ 6.50 for 9, I went for 9 of them and we devoured them in about 5 minutes. They obviously take pride in their food here and I’ll definitely be back!

I, sadly, have eaten here twice. The food is completely bland and overcooked/soggy, but it is the only place I knew of to get pierogis and stuffed cabbage in Portland. I was willing to give him 2.5 stars. The pierogis are bland and a tad soggy, not firm as they should be, and do not have a sufficiently tasty topping. The cabbage was also bland, yet overly salted. Overall, I considered it at least authentic Polish food. Then the owner blew up at my family. Oh yes, do not mess with this man, he might tell you bad words and not give you mediocre food! My son, 5, while I was paying, grabbed the counter and tried to pull up to see. He kicked at the truck to get up. I completely understand this being bad behavior and asking him to stop. Instead, before I could even see him doing it myself, the owner runs over from the back and yells at me for«not caring about my children» and being a bad parent, etc. I take one insult okay, apologize for my son, and we back off. Less than a minute later, my daughter touches — and I mean touches — the counter — like any customer would. He comes running back, leans out, screams at my son, as «BOY» to leave, «get out of here» and promptly gets rid of me, too. I apologize and wish him a good day. He snarls,. Really, snarls? Did someone piss in your Cheerios this morning? Do not pass go, do not collect a million dollars, just RUN from this truck. There are several others in the pavilion that are customer friendly and have very good food.

I’m a big fan of Polish food and this truck was a great find. It’s on SW10th Ave. just past the cross section with Alder St. I tried some bigos and pierogies. The bigos(a sauerkraut-based stew) tasted just like what I actually ate in Poland — fantastic. The pierogies were just right and I was thrilled to find that cabbage & mushroom were among the varieties offered(my favorite.) In response to a comment below saying they were«mushy» — this was not the case at all! Remember that the classic way to cook this food is to boil them, causing them to be soft. Pan-frying them is an alternate way to prepare them but not the traditional way, and they may be filled with anything from potatoes/cheese to meat to veggies or a combination of things. One recommendation would be to maybe look into using a carton made from a different material than the cardboard ones the stand uses, as the taste seemed to be affected by the box. Even though dumplings and cardboard don’t mix, it was overall really great! The Polish woman running the stand was incredibly friendly and and nice. She clearly cooks everything fresh and so this might not be the«fastest» spot but if you have the 10 minutes to wait, it’s totally worth it. Can’t beat this for under $ 10.

I stopped here for pierogies. It’s cool that Portland has food carts. This makes it easy to try several different things for a meal. After missing the Polish festival here over the weekend, I felt that I still wanted to get in the spirit of the culture. Pierogies are dumplings filled with smashed potatoes. These pierogies were just ok. It could have used more seasoning. I also prefer my pierogies pan fried a bit more. There seemed to be too soft and mushy, but that’s just my preference.

Second visit to this place, and the lovely Polish lady hit a home run with her«kielbasa sausage on a bun.» which was so good with awesome mix of texture and flavours that we were both mesmerised. Sooooooooooooo good! The lady seemed very pleased when we told her how much we loved it. The authentic Polish sausage was massive, and had this lovely subtle tang, and freshly sautéed onion and an assortment of other veggies complimented it perfectly. A huge toasted bun that befits the filling totally hit the spot for us. Highly recommended!
