Michael the owner runs a great business. Most frozen yogurt purists don’t need 200 different topping options. Cool Harry’s has tart and then a special of the week. Some fresh fruit topping option too. It’s really all good. If you’re soft-serve lever skills aren’t good don’t worry because they fill the cup up for you and you don’t have to have a weigh in after. Great place.

I love that the yogurt was TART. All froyo should taste like this! I had both original tart and mango. I got them with raspberries and granola; they were ok and on the bottom — couldn’t get to them until most of my yogurt was eaten or melted. I’d stop by if I go to downtown again and I’d skip the toppings next time.

This is a simple yogurt cart. Two flavors, five different sizes, and generally around three different toppings(could be fruit, granola, etc.). Their Facebook page will announce a secret phrase that could get you free toppings. Since I’m not on my computer at this time, and my phone is still stuck in prehistoric times, no free toppings here. I just had a Way Small Vanilla and Almond frozen yogurt($ 2.75). Even for the smallest size, it had a good amount, a swirling small mountain of dairy awaited its quick deathly trip to my stomach. The yogurt was good, having a pleasing slight vanilla taste, but seemingly retaining at least a bit of that original tart yogurt essence. It’s nowhere near as vanilla-heavy as other yogurts I’ve had. Unfortunately, I’m not sure if I caught very much almond here. I think it would be nice to have had tiny almond pieces in the yogurt itself. Perhaps that concern could be alleviated by adding a topping or two. I’d call this an OK experience. Admittedly, there have probably been other featured frozen yogurts in the past that I’ve missed(and kicked my panda backside later for doing so). Perhaps yet another return is warranted, but I think I can save it for when Oregon hits even hotter temperatures.

DUDE, I eat hella fro-yo, and I ain’t gonna lie! Cool Harry’s got the BEST freaking fro-yo in all of Portland. They have the tartest tart around! I’m quivering at the thought of another cup from this cart. Okay, I’ll be honest — the first time I had a cup of Cool was after I had a minor operation and I was still hopped up on valium and other assorted drugs. I’m sure many things taste delicious while in that state of delirium. Regardless, every return trip has not proven fruitless. In fact, Cool Harry has continually decided to bless me with tons of blueberries, marionberries, and granola with the creamiest cream in all the land! FYI, Cool Harry is the penguin. And he also owns the lil’ ATM machine right next door.

Their selection is limited(it’s a food cart so it’s understandable) but I found this refreshing because other fro-yo places can be absolutely overwhelming at times(just too much to decide from!). The day I went there were 2 flavors(Original Tart and Mango) and I went with the Mango. Really delicious and great on a warm day. They have fresh fruit toppings and I found it different that they put their toppings on the bottom. To each is own. Overall, a great food cart for a cool treat, snack, or even a meal.

Oh man, it was 70 degrees and perfect fro yo weather. I had the Tart and Mojito swirl — it was a good blend of flavors, and I loved that it wasn’t too sweet. Super bonus points for not having some crazy artificial color for the mojito flavor.

small menu, but you can’t expect a huge menu from a froyo food cart… let’s use some common sense, people. keep an eye on their twitter though, lots of freebies daily if you use their secret phrase. as stated by many others, their tart is pretty good — not too tart, much more mild. only strange thing is, they serve the yogurt«toppings» on the bottom… reminiscent of dannon’s fruit-on-the-bottom yogurt.

Really good yogurt & a cute cart. I had the original tart with berries. Such a good flavor combination! All the fruit toppings taste super fresh and aren’t cloyingly sweet. Plus the guy who runs it is really friendly and well dressed. Unfortunately i’m not downtown much otherwise this would be a regular spot.

To be honest, I was a little put off from the start with the extremely small menu of this place. It’s a pretty simple, plain menu. Just yogurt and a couple different fruit toppings. And a guy behind a laptop in an empty cart sitting inside isn’t exactly appealing… but he was very friendly! The yogurt is outstanding! It’s rich in flavor but not heavy. It’s tart but not sour. The yogurt tastes fresh and not junky — much like a lot of fro-yo places around town. I was delightfully surprised by how much I liked this place. It’s a perfect light treat after heavy food-cart food. The prices are high for how little the portions are, but when you compare Cool Harry’s to other chain frozen yogurt places, the price is worth it. I’d def recommend trying this place at least once just so you know how real fro-yo is supposed to taste.

Cool Harry’s…way cool. I became addicted to Pinkberry’s while visiting a friend in San Diego. Didn’t even try to find something similar here at home because it’s all dolled up with candy and other stuff. But I really had a craving for tart, natural flavor frozen yogurt so I Googled and, lo and behold, five short blocks from my home… Cool Harry’s…a new addiction and oh, so close… try it !

Normally, when people think«lunch carts» and«Portland», they think killer food at great prices. But, if Cool Harry has anything to do with it, maybe they should start thinking dessert, too. I had the yogurt with fresh blackberries. I love how they put the berries in the bottom. Makes for a delicious, fruity mush before it’s all said and done. Highly recommended for anyone needing a nice afternoon work break.

Michael, the owner, is adorable. My sister thought he was hot. :) The yogurt was divine, very similar to how I make my own at home, and is worth every cent. I had the coconut with fresh blueberries. I can’t wait until I visit Portland again! This cart is a must stop location!

Stopped by Cool Harry’s after a summer visit to my allergist. So, let’s just say I was looking forward to trying some good frozen yogurt. Anyway, I didn’t have much cash so I was only able to get fro-yo without any toppings. Kind of a bummer, but not really. The yogurt was FANTASTIC by itself. I got Tart swirled with Lime and both flavors were superb. The yogurt has a more natural-yogurty taste which was great after I’ve been stuffing my mouth with other various fro-yo joints around town that lean more toward the ice cream/dessert end of the spectrum. So glad I made the stop on my way back to the car. When I’m in the area again, I’ll surely be hitting this cart up. It was much more impressive than the lunch I had at another nearby cart which will remain nameless(but if you really want to know, check my other cart reviews). Check ‘em out for some great fro-yo and fresh fruit. Won’t be disappointed!

Frozen yogurt! That normally would be good enough for me, but Cool Harry’s has fresh berries to add to it. My girlfriend and I got the tart with marionberries and it was a good combo. We shared a small after lunch at surrounding carts and it was big enough for the both of us. They only have two flavors of yogurt at a time, which is fine since it’s a cart and they’re good at making it. The other flavor when I went there was, believe it or not, celery. Yep, the sample we had tasted like celery. It’s good if you like celery. I give them props for originality.

I was cruising downtown on 10th and Davis and noticed a new food cart. It had a really cool logo and a very nice man named Michael in it. I gave the frozen Yogurt a shot and I have to say it is extremely refreshing and really gives you a boost of energy. I would highly recommend that you try it!!!

Sweet nectar. Visited Cool Harry’s last week and had the joy of tasting the proprietor’s raspberry froyo made from hand pureed raspberries. LOVE the all-natural policy at Cool Harry’s. Your choices for toppings are all fresh fruit. No m&m’s or cookie dough chunks or other such crap. It’s a delightfully Portland establishment, and you shouldn’t be surprised if half the neighborhood comes out to greet the owner while you’re waiting in line. Luckily, he’s a good multi-tasker. As a SoCal froyo addict who needed her fix in a town notably starved for good froyo vendors, I HIGHLY recommend the penguin.

Who knew it was possible to have your life changed by frozen yogurt? I hated frozen yogurt before I met Cool Harry. If I had to choose three words that described Cool Harry’s product I would say: 1.) Epic 2.) Life-altering 3.) Last-meal-I-will-eat-before-I-die(it’s hyphenated so it counts) Cool Harry’s on SW10th and Alder has changed my life. No joke. Dead serious. Go there.

I’ve had the cheeses of France, i’ve sampled penguin sushi with the natives of Antarctica, I’ve even tasted an apple from the Garden of Eden… and yet I can safely say, without any hyperbole, that Cool Harry’s Yogurt is the best tasting thing ever… in the history of the world. But seriously, check it out. Great product, friendly staff… who doesn’t like frozen yogurt?
