Was in town on business and dropped in. Service is 5 star! Food, however, was slightly less great. I had the Chile Verde. The pork was quite good but the rice and beans were so-so. Overall, very impressed. If I ever get to Porterville again, I’ll drop by.

We recently had a birthday party celebration with 21 people. The service was great and the food was flavorful! The beer was cold and the margaritas were tasty! The price and quality of the food can’t be beat. Oh by the way, the mojarra frita was delicious! I highly recommend this place for a quiet dinner or a large party! Seriously, the best Mexican food in town!

Best bang for your buck! This location has some of the best service I have ever had. Also who can beat dollar tacos :) plus the cheladas are made there :)

I came from New Mexico to visit family in this area. I was looking to have good breakfast with one of my cousins. We search for several restaurants in Unilocal and decided to try los portales. My cousin and I were please from the beginning to end. The waitress was nice and patient. I ordered chilaquiles and my cousin got enchiladas, both plates were great. Price was affordable. Definitely a place I would visit again.

Service was excellent but food needs work. Pollo y arroz was not the classic. Seemed to be microwaved. Since they just opened, maybe they need to get kinks out. I may try once more. Looks like they may be known for enchiladas rancheros since there are pics of it on the walls. I wish them luck.
