This is one of the best tasting Mexican restaurants in Porterville. It is not a fancy restaurant but is great tasting. They have a Tuesdays special of two tacos for a dollar. You cannot beat that anywhere else. I have been faithfully coming to this restaurant twice a week on my lunch hour. I do recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good tasting and affordable Mexican food. I believe its a shame previous review because in my experience in the past two years i had the best service and food. I have lived in Porterville twenty two years and have tasted many Mexican restaurants including El Tapatio, Chaguito’s and El Jacalito. I have never had to the urge to write a Unilocal review until know.

This restaurant went under new ownership (so it says on a sign outside) this restaurant had a previous name. anyhow, was skeptical to go in first due to the empty, empty parking lot. You order at front of restaurant while looking at a two sided menu while standing. Restaurant size was small/​fair size… after sitting down we noticed that there was Flys in the restaurant (huge ones). We almost left restaurant because of this but we decided to go forward and try the food. we ordered shrimp tostadas and enchiladas. The food was good nothing new besides the huge prawns that were used in shrimp tostada :) we were satisfied with food especially when you can get two for one deal (alright food and an underarm workout by waving off the flys). I will not be back to this restaurant, Good luck!
