We were there for a family birthday dinner and the service was excellent! It is sometimes hard to serve large parties but our food came out fast and hot. It was a great experience.

They have delicious food and friendly service. They can be busy but it is worth the wait. I wish they still had their Sprite Zero and Coke Zero but other than that I recommend it.

I love local restaurants and Cappo’s does not disappoint! It’s a favorite for Sunday afternoons. My husband and I always order a basket of pickle chips — they are fantastic! Haven’t ordered anything bad :) service is friendly and fast!

Unflavorful food but good customer service. Unfortunately, I can’t eat the service. The house salad had stale croutons and the Alfredo was bland. I knew I was in trouble when in my desperation I put ranch in my pasta. Maybe it was an off day. Again, the service was pleasant. My friends were not happy with their food either. We all lamented the experience.

My favorite take out pizza because there is so. Much. Cheese. Good place to dine in with kids, because it’s noisy and there is a fish tank to look at.

We’ve gotten excellent service since we started going to Cappo’s. There is a bit of a wait on busy Friday nights(especially when there’s a home football game). The lake perch was great. The lasagne and chicken parmesan were really good. The prices aren’t outrageous. The only issue we have is that when it’s really busy it’s difficult to carry on a conversation due to the noise.

I may never try anything else on their menu because their pizza is the BEST in NW Indiana!!! Always my first stop when coming back to THEREGION; while I still haven’t strayed from the basic ground sausage/cheese pizza, I have no doubt all other toppings are as delicious if that is what you desire. I will be quite happy if you just keep making the best pizza around(and PLEASE consider a franchise in Las Vegas; people there think Pizza Hut is actually good pizza!).

I have loved Cappo’s from the time they were in the old Portage Mall, to their transition onto Route 6. This restaurant is always evolving, and if it is even possible, gets better every time I dine there. You can still find the comforts they have always offered, from Fried Chicken, classic ham and cheese, to their amazingly delicious pizza. Today, I ordered a gourmet 6″ personal pizza… the Spinach Alfredo. Wow, this was INCREDIBLE. The flavors played off of each other so well, and the roasted red peppers were just the right touch to balance out the buttery goodness of all the cheeses blanketing this masterpiece. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous, and the staff is always friendly and treats you like you’re a friend, rather than a customer. I cannot say enough about this restaurant. Will definitely keep coming back for more!

I took my daughter there and all she likes is pepperoni pizza and a plain salad, lettuce only, with ranch dressing. The pizza is good, ask for it well done with a pie cut, instead of squares, much better. The service was great. I recommend you ask for Paula, she is the best server in the whole place.

If you want a great catering experience request this place. We’ve been eating here for years. Sometimes we eat in, but mostly we’ve ordered take out ribs. That was why we decided to use them for our small wedding reception(40 people). Not only was the food awesome(ribs & chicken), but, it was delivered and served by the owner, Dolly, who I don’t recall ever having met… no difference, though, she pitched in like one of the family even slicing our cake up for us. We loved her, and we love this place. Great food at a good price and more than friendly service. She really worked to help us have a night to remember!

Great service. Great food. You cannot go wrong with this place. My favorite is cheese pizza with jalapeños and pepperoni. They also have excellent potato soup!

Giving four but three was tempting. My wife ordered the eggplant and it was rubbery tasteless gray mass. My son got the ravioli and it came with three pieces. I got a pizza… this was the saving grace! The pizza was out of this world! Though I’m not a fan of rectangular cuts, it didn’t effect the taste. Bring something for the kids to do, because they don’t have crayons or paper kids menu.

The quality of food still feels like they belong in the old run down Portage mall where they used to be. We tried them once in the old location didn’t care for their food. I made the mistake of giving them the benefit of the doubt since they went upscale and regretted it later. JJ’s and Gelsosomo’s beat them hands down.

They get 3 stars because the food is good. Basic pizza joint stuff with some extras, but the service is so so. The waitresses disappear sometimes and the others there are clueless. Sitting with an empty drink glass is annoying and waiting for your check is even more so. We go here now and then, but would probably go more often if the service was better.

I’ve been going here since they opened up in front of the imax. It’s in a strip mall, but it sure didn’t feel like it once you’re inside. Most waitresses have been there for years, so the service is always excellent. Pizza is great, and they have the best darn French dip sandwich is Chicago area! Daily soups are obviously homemade. And the best part… prices make you say«that’s it?». Very reasonable. Always a great choice.

The inside of this place is nothing like I thought it would be. It is located in a strip mall of sorts, so I was not expecting the open space inside the restaurant. The décor is pretty nice and they have a large fish tank with some nice exotic fish in it. As for the food, eh. I had the Waverunner sandwich(lightly fried tilapia) and it was nothing special really. The thing I liked most is that the bread was french bread with some garlic butter on it. I might have been more excited about my lunch if the waitress/cook got my order right. I asked for no onions… and there was a larger than normal pile of onions on my sandwich. It also didn’t have tartar sauce on it, causing me to track down the server once again. Paying attention to detail is rather important when it comes to someone’s food. The french fries cost extra(you get a sandwich with no side) and they were way too salty. I would try this place again, but if they don’t wow me the second time then that’s it for me.

Since my review, Cappo’s has went completely non-smoking. Definitely another plus as far as I’m concerned. Although, it seems their pizza is going downhill a bit lately as far as the cheese goes, however, it’s probably still the best in town. It would be really nice if they offered a thin crust though. The Italian beef sandwiches are still great and they always have good soup.
