Should have been better, and we had high hopes for it, but instead experienced a young server who thought she had cornered the market on the«best» and most«authentic» way to eat healthfully. Strange experience, actually. Wish it had been better and hope this young woman has realized that there are others in this world who have useful ideas and opinions. Besides her, the food was so-so. Probably won’t go back, especially with the profusion of wonderful restaurants/cafes in Port Townsend. By all means, Go Hippy, but remember to be nice.

Excellent pasta dishes. Highly recommended. It is a small dining room with usually only one person waiting the tables, but the food is worth the wait.

Cozy small area for seating. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. They have a good smothie menu. The menu seemed mexican food themed with a super healthy flair. It was fun and a warm environment. We got the lamb scewers and shared them. They were so nice they brought them out on separate plates for us.

I was disappointed with all the rave reviews. Menu was small and the main feature was the organic dishes. If you’re into that sort of thing this place would be awesome, but it seemed overpriced, and just so-so.

We arrived Port Townsend on the day of a parade. Luckily we found this café. We tried the vegetarian burrito and sandwich. Both were very good with fresh ingredients.

Really cute Bohemian vibe and the food was great! I ordered the carnitas tacos — moist and flavorful pork, great tangy chimmichurri. My husband ordered the Kafka which he loved and I tasted — complete with wonderful hummus and tatziki. I wish we were in town longer to go there again. I would definitely go back if I’m ever back in town.

sweet potato fries were freshly cut, thick and only lightly fried. Pulled pork sandwich was delicious; great amount of sauce and tangy red onions. Made it quick so I could catch the ferry. Very friendly staff.

We found the café kinda by accident, but it turned out to be a happy accident! There aren’t a lot of restaurants open in Port Townsend after 7 pm that aren’t pizza so we were getting a bit discouraged before we found the café. Our party ordered a burrito, a burger, and two different kinds of pasta. The portions were large and very filling. No one finished their dinner. The bacon on the burger was«real» thick cut bacon and SO delicious. I was very glad to see the gluten free options on the menu. Of course we had to order dessert, Crème Brule and Pot De Crème, both delicious and decadent. Our waitress, Ayla, did a great job. Attentive, but not intrusive. She knew we were tired after a long day and was nice enough to come to the table and take our order. Such a sweetie! Stop by, you won’t regret it.

This place fits in Port Townsend! Exactly what we were looking for lunch on a summer day. Wholesome menu. Cozy dining area. Pork Carnitas Tacos were outstanding.

This place was amazing! It lives up to its reputation and reviews. The food was delicious. We all ordered something different. I got the ½ sandwich(grilled veggie) and soup(veggie chili) and other people ordered the chicken soup, burrito, and Rachel sandwich, and all dishes were such a success for us! The space is really cozy and has a cool ambiance, and the people who work there are sweet. Because of its limited space, we actually had to wait for a table, everyone loved it so much! Lunch hour is a little hectic, so plan for that. Go earlier or later, or be ok with waiting a bit. I promise if you decide to wait, it’s worth it :)

Great fresh salad, but took them 30 minutes to cook a simple slider burger and when we finally got it the meat was overcooked.

As usual during this time of year any town that caters to tourists will have some festival going on during the weekend. The weekend I was showing friends around in Port Townsend was no exception. Traffic and pedestrians were needy and exhausting. The best thing to do was to dump the car and walk around downtown. Steve has been to the Owl Spirit before and that was our main focal point to reach, we just had to park a ways out and walk in order to get there. And that is ok. We needed the excercise. Once we reached the Owl Spirit the place was pretty busy but we slid in just in time to take a table for the four of us. We all ordered something different. I got the Taco Salad with beef. Let it be said I think this place gave me the freshest, tastiest Taco Salad I think I have had in recent memory. Simply superb! I split a slice of Key Lime Pie with Steve which was pretty good too but my sole affection was with the Taco Salad during our whole meal there. I gotta come back and get that again!

First impression from down the block: dirty hippie joint. Final impression after having entered, eaten, and experienced: healthy hippy place of business. Beautiful food, lovely waitress, terrific selection, yummy juice. My dude had their big burger, I had the pulled pork, our three year old had a little of each and her very own fresh pressed apple juice, all of which were delightful. Only complaint is that the outdoor seating is in the gravel parking lot. Sit inside.

When a restaurant has so many five star reviews you go in with high expectations. It was quiet and subdued and almost sad. Perhaps another times it’s more lively, but for this lunch. When I stepped out into the sun I felt much better.

What a wonderful place! I finally visited Owl Sprit Café when in Port Townsend for the weekend. They serve a variety of healthy foods and many gluten free options. I had a fresh squeezed juice they prepared in front of me and it was great. $ 6 for 12 oz. Not bad! I can’t wait to come back and try some of their other juices and menu items. The food prices are on the higher end($ 14 for a burrito for example) but the portions looked big and considering their use of quality ingredients I can see how the price is merited. Update: I had the soup and salad combo and tried some of the tuna melt. The soup(vegan split pea) was pretty good and the salad was great. You can build your own medium green salad with ingredients from their list and the medium salad is very big. I do think the prices are a tad high but it’s a good place. Half a sandwich and cup of soup combo is $ 14 and the cup of soup and salad combo is $ 12.50. I know the ingredients are mostly organic but this is pretty expensive for what I see as a $ 10 lunch. Wine selection is limited– 2 whites and 1 red. Glasses are $ 5 each. Everything is self serve including water. They do bring your food to your table when it’s ready.
